S4 Ep 93The Bible and the 2nd Ammendment
In this episode of the Patriot Pastor's Podcast, cohost Harold Smith delivers a compelling sermon titled "The Bible and the 2nd Amendment." Drawing from 2 Samuel 13, Pastor Harold connects the biblical narrative to the current debate surrounding our constitutional right to bear arms.As we approach the upcoming Presidential election, Pastor Harold emphasizes how crucial it is to understand the relevance of the 2nd Amendment in today’s political climate. He speaks concerning the dangers of disarmament, paralleling the lessons from ancient Israel with the potential risks of losing this fundamental right in our society. With passion and conviction, Pastor Harold argues that the right to bear arms safeguards against tyranny and oppression, much like the principles of self-defense and justice found in Scripture. This timely message challenges believers to stay vigilant in their faith and in defending the freedoms that protect our God-given rights.Join us for this thought-provoking sermon that speaks directly to the issues of our time, equipping Christians to engage with cultural and political challenges from a biblical perspective.

Ep 60Are you hopeless?
In this powerful episode, we dive into the topic of hopelessness—what it truly means, how it manifests in our lives, and where we can find lasting hope. Our key verse, Romans 15:13, reminds us that God is the source of true hope, joy, and peace. Without Him, all other sources of hope will fail. For unbelievers, hopelessness can feel inescapable, but even believers can find themselves wrestling with discontentment when they lose sight of God's promises. We explore alarming statistics about the rise of hopelessness, particularly among American teenage girls, and the tragic reality of suicide. According to the CDC, 3 in 5 teenage girls report persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness. Suicide remains a leading cause of death, especially among men. But these stats don’t have to define anyone's future.Through Scripture and personal stories, including the tragic loss of a dear friend, we discuss how discontentment leads to fear, anger, and ultimately despair. But there is hope—a hope found in Christ that is not wishful thinking but a confident assurance anchored in His promises.Join us as we reflect on verses like John 16:33, Hebrews 6:19, and Titus 2:13, which assure us of the living hope that comes through Jesus. No matter where you are or what you’re going through, there is a hope that can save your soul.Listen now to be encouraged and reminded that true hope starts with Jesus.📖 Key Scripture: Romans 15:13🎧 Listen on Apple Podcasts: Click Here🎧 Listen on Spotify: Click Here👉 Follow us on social media for more inspiration:Instagram: @abundan7lifeTwitter: @abundan7lifeFacebook: Abundant Life PodcastFor more episodes, visit our website: https://abundantlife.fm

Celebrity Pastors: The Danger of Exalting Mere Men
Another popular pastor has fallen due to a moral failure. Time and time again we find that popular pastors that fall into grievous sin. Regardless of theological position, pastors are people too and we must pray for them. We also must not exalt pastors to celebrity status. We must stop exalting them to a kingly status of our hearts and minds. That position is held by Christ alone. Let's talk about it. #reformedtheology #stevelawson #christianity

Ep 311Church, Denominations, Part 6 of What We Believe, Part 42
Rapp Report episode 311 Andrew returns to the series What We Believe. The local church is autonomous, free from any external authority or control, with the right of self-government and freedom from the interference of any hierarchy of individuals or organizations (Titus 1:5). It is scriptural for true churches to cooperate with each other for the presentation and propagation of the faith. Each local church, however, through its elders and their interpretation and application of Scripture, should be the sole judge of the measure and method of its cooperation. The elders should determine all other matters of membership, policy, discipline, benevolence, and government, as well (Acts 15:19-31; 20:28; 1 Corinthians 5:4-7, 13; 1 Peter 5:1-4).This podcast is a ministry of Striving for Eternity and all our resources Listen to other podcasts on the Christian Podcast CommunitySupport Striving for EternityLeave us a reviewGive us your feedback, email us [email protected] the book What Do They BelieveGet the book What Do We BelieveSponsors:Squirrelly Joe’s CoffeeLogos Bible SoftwareMyPillow or call (800) 873-0176 and use promo SFE Mentioned in this episode:Bible Interpretation made Easy seminarBook a SfE speaker todayWe have several speakers that can cover many different topics. S5 Ep 2S5E2 - God's Common Law
This week, before we go into specific public policy topics, I want to discuss how to understand and apply God's law. This is the starting point for addressing any public policy issue. If we misunderstand God's law we end up engaging in legalism like the Pharisees. They used God's law in a wooden fashion to try to earn God's favor. But God's law is a common law system that requires the exercise of wisdom grounded in moral principles. This is quite the opposite from the positivist system of law that we are embracing today in our culture. If you have any questions, comments, or other topics you would like me to address, please email me at [email protected] can follow me on Facebook or Twitter, or go to http://www.ericluppold.com/And if you would like to support the show, please become a patron!

When asked, after the release of her book Shepherds for Sale, what Megan Basham would have included if she could add to it, she responds that she would have dedicated a whole chapter or more to how anti-racism and other leftist ideologies are entering the church through women's ministries. S4 Ep 91Is Street Preaching Biblical?
In this episode of the Patriot Pastor’s Podcast, hosts Wade Lentz and Harold Smith explore the topic, “Is Street Preaching Biblical?” They discuss the biblical foundations of street preaching and explore whether this method aligns with Scripture and how it has been practiced historically. Wade and Harold examine both the strengths and pitfalls of street preaching, critiquing approaches that may be more harmful than helpful to the cause of evangelism. Drawing from personal experiences, biblical examples, and a sermon Harold recently preached, they consider whether street preaching is an effective means of sharing the gospel in today’s culture and how it can be done to honor God and truly reach people.
