Ep 321Responding to the 2024 Elections
The 2024 elections exceeded many expectations. Donald J. Trump is once again slated for the White House. He won in an electoral landslide and won the popular vote. He gained in almost every demographic. We look at some fiscal data and figure out why Gen Z and younger Millennials shifted the most toward Trump from 2020.Some people are really unhappy and feel their very livelihood and the world is in danger. After playing some clips of TikTok people melting down, I present a challenge to Christians. If you're happy or feel relief, avoid the trap of kicking people while they're down. Be a listening ear and ask questions gently. Speak truth in love. The discussion explores the distinction between righteous suffering for Christ's sake and suffering that arises from personal wrongdoing. Rappaport encourages listeners to embrace their faith boldly, even in the face of potential persecution, and to act as ambassadors for Christ, demonstrating love and resilience amidst adversity. The episode articulates a compelling message on the inevitable reality of persecution for Christians, as derived from 1 Peter 4:12-19. Andrew Rappaport addresses the listeners with a sense of urgency regarding the current societal shifts that threaten the freedoms enjoyed by the church in America. He posits that the upcoming elections could exacerbate the challenges faced by believers, drawing a stark comparison to the historical persecution faced by early Christians who were often marginalized and targeted for their faith. This backdrop sets the stage for a deeper exploration of what it means to suffer for Christ and how that suffering can be viewed through a lens of joy rather than despair.Rappaport dives into the theological implications of suffering, urging believers to embrace their trials as a means of sharing in Christ’s sufferings. He discusses the transformative nature of these experiences, suggesting that they can lead to a greater understanding of God’s glory and grace. The sermon is rich with historical references, recounting stories of martyrs who faced persecution with unwavering faith and courage, illustrating that suffering can indeed be a powerful witness to the truth of the Gospel. Moreover, Rappaport makes a salient point about distinguishing between suffering for righteousness and suffering as a consequence of personal wrongdoing, encouraging self-examination among listeners. As the episode progresses, Rappaport emphasizes the importance of community and love among believers as they navigate these potentially tumultuous times. He calls on Christians to prepare their hearts and minds for the challenges ahead, fostering a spirit of unity and support within the church. By anchoring the discussion in biblical truth, Rappaport inspires listeners to remain steadfast in their faith, to rejoice in their sufferings, and to embody the love of Christ even in the face of adversity.Takeaways: Expect persecution as Christians; it is a common experience worldwide and may intensify in America soon. S5 Ep 5S5E5 - A Theonomist's Response to Dr. Stephen Wolfe (Part 1)
On today's episode, I respond to a recent video published by Dr. Stephen Wolfe. Wolfe, the author of The Case for Christian Nationalism, critiqued the theonomic perspective, specifically a version of it in which there is no legislative body. While I hold Dr. Wolfe in the highest respect, I wanted to offer a thorough response in defense of theonomy. As Christians, we ought to consider what it means to love our neighbor both as individual believers and as a community. My hope is that this response helps to move the conversation forward in that direction. Here is Dr. Wolfe's entire critique of theonomy: Theonomy vs. Natural LawIf you have any questions or comments, please email me at [email protected] can follow also me on Facebook or Twitter, or go to http://www.ericluppold.com/And if you would like to support the show, please consider becoming a patron!

S3 Ep 16Discipling Christians to be Partial: Antiracism, "Color Bravery", & Be the Bridge
This is an updated episode from season 2.For several years Christians have wrestling with what it means to racially reconcile within the Church. On of the most popular teachings that has spread within the church to resolve this issue has been what is called Antiracism. Be the Bridge has been one of the more popular parachurch ministries educating the church on racial reconciliation by training disciples to be Antiracist and become "color brave" instead of color blind. But what is Antiracism and what does it mean to become Antiracist? What does it mean to become "color brave"? What are these antiracist foundational teachings that Be the Bridge trains its disciples in? What Scriptural teachings do they use to support being antiracist? Are they using those teachings correctly or twisting it to fit their goal? And should Christian women imbibe them?May this episode bring Christian women to understand the false teaching of Antiracism that is entering the church and bring glory to God. In a recent episode of Didaché, Justin Peters, Steve Kozar, and Chris Rosebrough examined Dr. Michael Brown's continuing endorsement of Todd White, mainly focusing on White's controversial leg-lengthening demonstrations. The hosts analyzed video evidence suggesting these healings are staged performances rather than genuine miracles. The discussion delved into Brown's puzzling tendency to accept extraordinary claims without evidence while dismissing documented proof of deception. The hosts expressed grave concern about the impact of such practices on Christian credibility and those potentially harmed by false healing claims. The Messed Up Church with Steve KozarFighting For The Faith with Chris RosebroughTodd White's Leg Lengthening Trick Exposed Once and For AllTodd White's Criminal Past Exposed➡️ Click here to find all of Justin’s essential links.

***Warning: This episode talks about sensitive topics***November 5, 2024 is a crucial election in the United States for many reasons. The country is polarized. Even many states are polarized.Colorado's Amendment 79 would enshrine abortion as a fundamental right into the state constitution. It would even allow the legislature to pass laws that pay for it on demand with taxes.Colorado is the premier destination for abortion in the country. The state has no restrictions on abortion.Could Amendment 79 and future laws based on it encourage people from outside the state to flock in and make residents pay to end the life of their unborn children. Could the language of the amendment set up barriers to stopping human trafficking?Pray for Colorado. On today's episode I look at the rather controversial topic of Church and State. Starting with Scripture, I consider both Deuteronomy 13 and Romans 13 in their context. The topic then moves to some historical examples of church/state relations before addressing the modern example of the United States. Ultimately, Scripture lays the foundation for a broadly Christian affirmation by the civil magistrate without the need for the magistrate to get involved in denominational disputes. If you have any questions or comments, please email me at [email protected] can follow also me on Facebook or Twitter, or go to http://www.ericluppold.com/And if you would like to support the show, please consider becoming a patron!
