Not much has happened since we spoke last. Except, of course, Nintendo's FUCKING BANGER of a conference. Come hear what you missed, what you saw, and what we are looking forward to.

E3 2021 is both underway and essentially over. We cover the Keighthrees, Koch/Cook/Cock's media bonaza, Ubisoft, Square Enix, Microsoft, and a bunch of other stuff! It's been a wild E3 so far, and we aren't done yet.

I haven't written the word PrE3 in 5 years. Wild. Speaking of wild, it's a wild year for Apple's WWDC conference, and it seems like it will be a wild year for E3. Luckily, Plachy has excellent notes.

200 episodes. They came and went like a late evening shower. Here we are, on the other side of 200, and no better for it. But hey, sometimes it's the journey and not the destination. And our journey continues...

So everything is on pause in anticipation of E3 2021 and all of the announcements that will pour from it's half-deserted mouth. Hoo boy, you would think for a couple of guys who spent some time inside a college at one point in their life, they would know how to do simple math (like knowing 10am - 2am is 16 hours, not 14). But NOOOOOOPE. Anyway, E3 is coming and that means that this show is light on video games, but heavy on laughs. Boy, this Apple vs Epic legal battle sure has been a thing. Lots of dirty laundry aired thanks to un-redacted court documents. We talk about that, Battle Royal Division, Resident Evil, and lost cats.

This is a weird one. We didn't really play any video games, but we had a lot to talk about. The key here is consistency. You are getting a show even though we didn't have a show to give. We have manifested it with magic.

Our perfect Final Fantasy game uses the Ratatouille system for magic. Speaking of magic, JK Rowling is a horrible human but it's ok if you still like Harry Potter. But it's not ok if you like this year's hottest beer because that shit is GROSS.

Is Fortnite a game, or is it just distilled pop culture? Is Magic the Gathering the Fortnite of card games? Does the white PS5 shell keep that shape when you pop it off, or does it flatten out? The answers to these questions are not in this episode, but they are fun to ask.

It's a light video game week, both in terms of games played and news, so the boys sit down and talk Tech. Plachy spend some time spinnin' while Fish spent some time fucking up his whole setup.

A slow week allows for a long talk about VR, Apple Announcements, and the joys of HDMI adjacent technologies. Some GamePunchers trivia too, to boot.

Fish has gone full VR-Brain, so he and Plachy talk about that for a little bit. Then they move on to a list of things in 2020, and talk about what games to look forward to next year.

We talked about a lot of things this episode, but nothing more important than the discovery that the Oculus Quest is basically the same resolution as the Vive. This has upended Fish's world, and he is basically The Lawnmower Man Now. We hope you have a safe and restful holiday, friends. It’s been a year, and while it probably won’t get better immediately, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Hold tight, keep pushing - we will get through this garbage together.

Big week in video game land. Geoff Keighley showed us trailers for a lot of new games, said The Last of Us 2 is the best game, and robbed Sjokz of her crown. Also, Cyberpunk 2077 came out, and - boy o boy - did we ever customize... EDIT: Is has been brought to our attention that Sjokz did in fact retain her crown. THREEPEAT BABY. EAT IT GOLDENBOY

ITS KEIGHLEY SEASON. That's right, friends, the most wonderful time of the year. We are days away from finding out who the best e-sports personality is, and how many GOTYs Cyberpunk 2077 won. Speaking of Cyberpunk, we do need to talk about that.

You thought we had abandoned you again, didn't you? Don't lie, it's ok, we know. You've been hurt before and are more than ready to be hurt again. But you have not been hurt...not yet at least. What do you think this is? The Last of Us 2?
