Ep 859859: Cemetery Shenanigans, Elephant Evolution, & Winslet’s World Record

Sarah was feeling left out of the crazy spider bite conversation. She got one of her own, so she and Susie can be Spider Bite Besties. We hear about Sarah’s recent obsession with Love Is Blind: Habibi, and why it's so much better than the American version. We learn why elephants are evolving at a faster rate to cope with humans hunting their tusks, and Susie thinks it’s a real win for the species. A man was fined for being too spooky in a cemetery, but we’ve got some questions before we pass judgment. Sarah fills us in on the Guinness World Record holder for longest breath held underwater, which leads to a shocking discovery about Kate Winslet–as if she wasn’t impressive enough already! Plus, NASA’s LunaRecycle Challenge is asking us to shift how we think about waste and come up with some new solutions. Sarah reports on the shocking brain changes in teens during COVID lockdown, but there’s one gendered aspect that doesn’t surprise us.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/the-horniest-countries-ai-girlfriends-a-conker-scandalJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get 30 off the first box - PLUS free Croissants in every box - when you go to https://wildgrain.com/BRAINCANDY to start your subscription!Get an exclusive 20% off your first order at https://thrivecausemetics.com/BRAINCANDYGet $10 off your first month’s subscription and free shipping when you go to https://nutrafol.com and enter the promo code BRAINCANDYSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 858858: Darwin Awards, Daydream Believer, & Antarctica Mail

Susie brings a few nominees to the Darwin Awards--one is a snake influencer (?) who said anit-venom was for p*ssies who then, of course, was bit by his pet viper and the other was a man who was observing a friend drink an assisted suicide drug cocktail and then decided to take a sip for himself. We learn about a man who circumnavigated the globe on foot instead of getting a divorce and the unbelievable events that he went through for this dubious distinction. We hear about a daydreaming contest that tests whether you can remain lost in your thoughts for 90 minutes. Susie describes a couple who waited 12 years for access to Disney's Club 33 only to lose access based on what they say was a misunderstanding. Hear the incredible lengths they're going to get back in and what it's like to be a member of this exclusive club to begin with. We find out how mail is processed in Antarctica and who is sending mail there. We learn why Hope Solo was ostracized from the women's professional soccer team. And we discuss the forthcoming posthumous memoir by Lisa Marie Presley with help from her daughter Reilly Keogh, and the generational trauma of fame and addiction.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/space-out-competition-club-33-worlds-loneliest-post-officeJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:For 50% off your first order, head to https://www.smalls.com/braincandy and use code BRAINCANDYCancel your unwanted subscriptions by going to https://rocketmoney.com/braincandySee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 857857: Butterfingers, Extra Sensory Perception, & Fake Hedgehog

Sarah might be changing her mind about the "fun size" chocolate candy bars. We find out what you can get from coining a slogan like "Nobody lay a finger on my Butterfinger." We learn whether you can sense that somebody is staring at you and we consider why we think we're exceptions to the rule. We learn why "superhero" is a special word and why we all are superheroes in some way. Plus a woman mistook an everyday item for an animal and even took the item to a veterinarian to make sure it was ok. Adam weighs in on why he can see how this happened. Plus, we debate what five liquids we would have shoot from our fingers if given the chance, Susie explains why she's great at parties, and she is honoring her year of "wonder" with a special concert tonight.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/space-out-competition-club-33-worlds-loneliest-post-officeJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Cancel your unwanted subscriptions by going to https://rocketmoney.com/braincandyFor 50% off your first order, head to https://www.smalls.com/braincandy and use code BRAINCANDYVisit https://www.carawayhome.com/braincandy to see all of your favorite products AND take an additional 10% off your next purchase.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 856856: Foot Fetish, Price is Right, & Jailbreak

Susie is talking about one of her favorite subjects: the foot fetish. We learn what can trigger the fetish, what the fetishists look for in a foot, and whether Susie or Sarah has more desirable feet among the community. We hear about the toxic culture of sexual harassment, racial discrimination, and bullying on The Price is Right, and why Barker's Beauties felt trapped. We discuss a medical parts company who helped a paralyzed man walk for ten years, but refused to repair his device and prevented him from walking, and how we can remedy the issues some patients have in caring for their new body parts. And we talk about the new documentary Jailbreak about a female jail warden who helped a prisoner escape after they developed a relationship, and we debate whether he really had feelings for her or whether she was used to help him get out of prison.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/game-show-warriors-commenting-on-porn-exoskeleton-repairsJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Head to https://factormeals.com/BRAINCANDY50 and use code BRAINCANDY50 to get 50% off your first box and 20% off your next month.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 855855: Mr. McMahon's WWE, NSFW Comments, & Harper & Will

Sarah is obsessing over Fall fashion and not just the goth stuff; tweed and tartan too! We discuss the Mr. McMahon documentary about WWE founder Vince McMahon, the history of wrestling, and the fallout from his many lawsuits alleging sexual harassment, assault, and more. We detail how professional wrestling has many of the same elements and problems as reality tv (especially the Challenge) including the blurred line between real and fake and how everyone contains multitudes, which is why we were both impressed and repulsed by Vince McMahon's life and accomplishments. We talk about the Will & Harper documentary, and why it was different than we expected, but was a beautiful portrait of friendship, love, care, and the ways people are all the same. Susie describes a recent political scandal where a nominee for governor was found to be a prolific commenter on adult sites and message boards, and we explore what type of person is commenting on these forums in the first place and what they could possibly gain from doing so.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/game-show-warriors-commenting-on-porn-exoskeleton-repairsConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Go to https://paireyewear.com and use code BCP for 15% off your first pair. Ep 854854: Performance Art, Counting Rice, & Cargo Cults

There was another pop-up scam that rocked the fans of Bridgerton when they showed up for what they thought was a Victorian-era dance, but got flourescent lighting, an exotic dancer, and absolutely nothing Victorian. These are a treat. Sarah demoans a marble art installation that was smashed to bits by a "performance artist" for the hell of it and ancient sketches in the dessert were destroyed by off-roaders. People are the worst. But we learn about an art concept that involves counting rice that Sarah can't quit thinking about, and we decided it is a great metaphor for so many aspects of life. Sarah turns the tables and teaches Susie about a religious phenomenon involving remote islands that experienced WWII soldiers bringing rations and other resources, but mistook them for divine beings. We learn why these groups have built a religious framework around them that still persists today.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/immortal-corpse-unusual-injuries-off-road-driversJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get $10 off your first month’s subscription and free shipping when you go to https://nutrafol.com and enter the promo code BRAINCANDYGo to https://www.greenchef.com/braincandy50 and use code braincandy50 for 50% off your first box plus 20% off your next two months! Get 15% off LolaVie with the code BRAIN15 at https://www.lolavie.com/BRAIN15 #lolaviepodSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 853853: Stolen Gold, Science Bodies, & The Contestant

Fall is in the air, so our resident witch is getting her caldron out and preparing for snowboarding season. Sarah is willing to sacrifice a literal finger if that means not missing another powder season. (She's unwell.) Susie tells us about a 30 for 30 called Stolen Gold about an intellectually disabled paralympic basketball team that won the gold by having almost the entire team fake the disability. We learn how it affected the lives of the people who won fair and square. We discuss the complexities of "fairness" in sports and the consequences it has for trans athletes (such as the athlete in the documentary Mack Wrestles). We talk about a woman who donated her body to science to create a legacy, but then placed a list of demands on the scientists for 15 years. Susie describes the documentary The Contestant about a Japanese reality tv show that tortured its star for 15 months and humiliated him in front of the country of Japan. Plus, an athlete who was injured due to a "hefty sneeze" inspired us to learn about some other surprising injuries endured by athletes.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/immortal-corpse-unusual-injuries-off-road-driversJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get 15% off Ned products with code BRAINCANDY at https://helloned.com/BRAINCANDYGet an exclusive 20% off your first order at https://thrivecausemetics.com/BRAINCANDYGet 25% off your first month for a limited time at https://ritual.com/BRAINCANDYThis episode is sponsored by/brought to you by BetterHelp. Ep 852852: Bionic Bodies, Office Ladies, & Musk Against Humanity

Sarah is living out her Bob's Burgers fantasies. Susie's still trying to do a pull-up, but we found research that shows she might never meet her goal! We debate whether kids should have their phones in school, and our opinions will probably surprise you. We learn why people who use prosthetics are frustrated with the way companies make their products and how it affects their autonomy. Sarah describes a trend on TikTok where people are exoticizing and romanticizing office jobs, and she says she welcomes the trend of normalizing 9-5 work. We talk about the Ryan Murphy Monster series that recreates the Lyle and Erik Menendez brothers true crime story, and why she questions Murphy's motives as well as the defense of the brothers for their crime. We discuss Kim Kardashian's work for prisoners's rights and criminal justice reform, but wonder about the timing of her recent visit with the Menendez brothers given her proximity to Murphy. And we learn why the game Cards Against Humanity is suing Elon Musk.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/grocery-store-romance-prosthesis-logos-banning-phonesJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get 20% OFF @honeylove by going to https://www.honeylove.com/braincandy! #honeylovepodFor 55% off your order, head to https://www.nurturelife.com and use code BRAINCANDYSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 851851: Penny Tyranny, Pineapple Swingers, & Rainbow Bridge

Sarah is trying to take care of her poor hurt finger, and is hoping it leads to something amazing, but that amazing thing will not be sex with a man if she has anything to say about it. Susie explains why pennies should be eradicated, why we keep making money that no one wants or needs, why the "penny lobby" is trying to keep the dream alive, and what it will take to end our collective nightmare. We hear why people in Spain are trolling grocery stores looking to hook-up, the stores have to hide their pineapples as a result, and Susie wants to know why these people don't go to bars like normal people. We discuss what happens when you die, and we debate whether animals will have the same fate as humans. Susie gets all wound up about a small religion and explains why there are only two members left in the world.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/grocery-store-romance-prosthesis-logos-banning-phonesJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Visit https://www.carawayhome.com/braincandy to see all of our favorite products AND take an additional 10% off your next purchase.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 850850: Doritos Dust, Brain Freeze, & Tablescaping

We got an update on the serial pooper, and we were way off OR WERE WE??? We learn how an ingredient in Doritos can change the skin of mice and we debate the order of Doritos flavors over time. Sarah reveals some fun facts about the brain, the reasons some people are shy (and Susie ought to be more compassionate about shyness!), and what causes brain freeze/frozen throat. Sarah watched a documentary about tablescaping competitions and explains the types of people who might get into such an odd hobby (sport??). We find out that all the hype about the magical longevity of the Blue Zones is more likely due to corruption, poor record-keeping, and deception. We learn why you should be eating at more restaurants with 2-star reviews. And Susie shares why she had to go "Karen" on a Chipotle cashier.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/croissant-lamp-transparent-mice-competitive-tablescapingJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:For 55% off your order, head to https://www.nurturelife.com and use code BRAINCANDYGet an exclusive 20% off your first order at https://thrivecausemetics.com/BRAINCANDYSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 849849: Catching Hell, Apollo 13, & Oral Fixations

Sarah's getting some new wheels, and let's just say she's probably going to make a lot of lesbian friends thanks to her vehicle. Susie is still trying to successfully do one pull-up, and has a message for anyone working towards a goal. Plus, she reports back about her experience with her colonoscopy alternative and the hilarious instructions she got about collecting her...specimen. We discuss a documentary about a man who caught a foul ball at a Cubs game and it almost ruined his life. We talk about the person who got a croissant lamp from Temu that was made of an actual croissant. A man had a Lego brick stuck up his nose for 26 years (unbeknownst to him!), and we hear how he got it out and why in the world he didn't know all this time. We learn about the latest museum calamity where a little boy broke a vase from the Bronze Age.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/croissant-lamp-transparent-mice-competitive-tablescapingJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Head to https://www.factormeals.com/braincandy50 and use code braincandy50 to get 50% off your first box plus 20% off your next month.Get an exclusive 20% off your first order at https://thrivecausemetics.com/BRAINCANDYGet $30 off the first box - PLUS free Croissants in every box - when you go to https://wildgrain.com/BRAINCANDY to start your subscription!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 848848: Behind the Mask, Feather Collector, & What's in a Name

Sarah is nursing her finger back to health, but believes the injury will bring something good into her life (optimistic as ever). She talks about the Behind the Mask docuseries, which examines the people who are team mascots. Sarah is reading the Feather Thief for Candy Club, and is thinking about people who collect animal parts and how these natural items become valuable and sought after. We find out how the cost of your wedding can predict the likelihood of divorce. Turns out Susie's theory about last names, officially known as "nominative determinism" might not be true (impossible!), but we think it's truth-y, so it's fine.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get 20% OFF @honeylove by going to https://www.honeylove.com/braincandy! #honeylovepodControl Body Odor ANYWHERE with @lumedeodorant and get 15% off with promo code BRAINCANDY15 at https://lumedeodorant.com! #lumepodFor 55% off your order, head to https://www.nurturelife.com and use code BRAINCANDYSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 847847: Dr. Feelgood, False Positive, & Blue Balls

Sarah is on a hilarity roll, and we're here for it, but she's going to need some humor to get through her water polo (for seniors) injury. Hopefully her new hot doctor will make her feel better. We discuss the ending of Chimp Crazy, and the wild ways people cope with trauma, loss of identity, and a search for meaning. We talk about the latest serial pooper running loose, and the reasons Sarah thinks he is justified (!) in his targeted defecation despite the fact that Sarah does not know his motives. We learn what Americans want to "kill" based on Google analytics, and why it illuminates a fundamental truth about psychological behavior and our "wise minds." Susie watched the 30 for 30 documentary, False Positive, about track and field star Butch Reynolds. He was told he tested positive for steroids, was banned from the sport, and lost all of his sponsors, but the lab had made an error. We hear what happened after his name was cleared, and discuss the ways people can cope with injustice. Susie is mad about blue balls again, so we discuss this (made up) affliction and why some women claim they've had it too (despite being ball-less).Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. Ep 846846: Type B Friends, Space Cowboy, & Busy Beavers

Susie's son got in trouble at school, but we fully support his shenanigans and think we've taught him well. Sarah shared a story about teachers who heard a rustling noise coming from a backpack and when they opened it up they discovered a turtle. But some of the kids's parents were mad the teachers didn't get "consent" to search the bags, so they invaded the kindergarteners' privacy. We hear how crows are picking up litter, ferrets have become electricians, and Sarah thinks Susie is a busy beaver. We discuss how different social media algorithms treat each of us and what our Discover pages usually show. Sarah describes "type B" friends, and why she feels like her personality type is finally getting it's due. Susie admits that Sarah was right to be worried about the SpaceX astronauts who are stranded in space, but we hear why it's probably not as bad as it sounds and hopefully the astronauts are living their best lives as space cowboys.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/sniffing-swimsuits-stranded-astronauts-ferrets-laying-cableJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get 15% off LolaVie with the code BRAIN15 at https://www.lolavie.com/BRAIN15 #lolaviepodVisit https://www.carawayhome.com/BRAINCANDY to see all of our favorite products AND take an additional 10% off your next purchase!Become the best version of yourself and get 15% off Ned products with code BRAINCANDY at https://helloned.com/BRAINCANDYSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 845845: Baywatch Bodies, Chimp Crazy, & Digital Exams

We've done it everyone. We finally got Susie's silent laugh to the next level with what feels like ten minutes of hysterical laughter. We're not proud that it's about rectal exams, but it is what it is. We hear why the Baywatch docuseries is a must-watch, Sarah might have to squash her beef with Hobie, and the cast is similar to reality cast members. We learn about the Chimp Crazy documentary, the type of people who own chimps as pets, and how the ethics of documentaries were tested on this wild film from the makers of Tiger King. We discuss "rooftoppers," which are daredevils who hang off the sides of buildings and ledges of skyscrapers to get pics for social media and why they're not just adrenaline junkies, but actually far more relatable.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/sniffing-swimsuits-stranded-astronauts-ferrets-laying-cableJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:For 55% off your order, head to https://www.nurturelife.com and use code BRAINCANDYGet an exclusive 20% off your first order at https://thrivecausemetics.com/BRAINCANDYGet 25% off your first month for a limited time at https://ritual.com/BRAINCANDYCancel your unwanted subscriptions by going to https://rocketmoney.com/BRAINCANDYSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 844844: Wacky Tobaccky, Tattoo Tips, & Women Leaders

We keep planning our reunions, and they never pan out, and it might result in an impromptu Brain Candy meetup. We hear why women in leadership roles are criticized at a much higher frequency than their male counterparts and for more superficial reasons (big surprise). We discuss a new policy at a restaurant who won't let anyone under 30 inside. Hear why a paralympian was disqualified from the games for a tattoo, and we're furious. We get tattoo placement tips from our resident expert, Sarah. Ep 843843: Baseball Betting, Starving for Perfection, & Racing Women

Sarah is showing what can happen when you put yourself out there and we're here for it. We debate whether a baseball player who is banned from the sport should still be eligible for the Hall of Fame (aka Pete Rose). Sarah begins on one side of the argument, but Susie persuades her to change her mind. We discuss the Karen Carpenter documentary that shows what led to her death by eating disorder, how her family dynamic played a role, and why disordered eating is a spectrum of severity. We talk about the guy who smoked 800 cigarettes in 6 minutes, and why the Guinness Book of World Records disqualified him, and we hear about other odd record holders who defied death. We celebrate the baseball player who recently played for BOTH teams in the same game, and how that was able to happen. And we learn about the first woman to qualify for the Indianapolis 500, and why sexism cause her to leave the sport.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/dying-wish-age-restrictions-sounds-in-natureJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get 20% OFF @honeylove by going to http://www.honeylove.com/BRAINCANDY! #honeylovepodHead to https://moshlife.com/BRAINCANDY to save 20% off plus FREE shipping on the Best sellers Trial Pack. Get an exclusive 20% off your first order at https://thrivecausemetics.com/BRAINCANDYSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 842842: Dude Perfect, Tennis Brains, & Water Mussels

Susie's 30 for 30 journey continues with the documentary about Dude Perfect, the YouTube sensations (and megahit) who specialize in trick shots and other sports spectacles. We hear how they got started, how they were able to harness their virality, and what it's really like creating content as a full-time job as middle-aged men. We hear the latest science on patients with brain damage, and how researchers realized that a significant number of them have cognitive "awareness" despite being considered vegetative or minimally conscious by the traditional bedside tests. We discuss the questions about their methodology and speculate about what we would want to happen if we were in that position. Susie talks about Michael Oher, who is the Black high school football star who was taken in by a white, wealthy family portrayed in the Blind Side film (made famous by Sandra Bullock's Oscar performance), and his lawsuit against the family. He claims they exploited him and profited off of him without compensating him. We debate the merits of his case and the claims made against him by the author of the book on the subject and what the family has to say. We hear about Poland's innovative technique for monitoring the contaminants in their water supply, and how they are relying on animals to alert them of any concerns.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/the-blind-side-molyneuxs-problem-brain-damaged-awarenessJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Head to https://moshlife.com/braincandy to save 20% off plus FREE shipping on your first 6-count Trial Pack. For 55% off your order, head to https://www.nurturelife.com and use code BRAINCANDYSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 841841: Money Marriage, Surgeon General, & Blind Touch

Sarah is getting emotional about her water polo resurgence, and wants you all to do something to challenge yourself. We discuss how she didn't take advantage of her rich ex-husband, and how next time she should have a little more fun. We talk about the surgeon general, who has been giving advice about self-care, wellness, and other more abstract mental health techniques, and receiving criticism by people who think he should focus on non-mental health. And we debate whether that's the role of a governmental official and what he should do instead. We find out about a philosophical debate about whether blind people who develop sight can recognize objects they've only ever felt once they can see. And now, thanks to modern scientists, we have the surprising answer!Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/the-blind-side-molyneuxs-problem-brain-damaged-awarenessJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get $30 off the first box - PLUS free Croissants in every box - when you go to https://wildgrain.com/BRAINCANDY to start your subscription!GET $10 off your first month’s subscription and free shipping when you go to https://nutrafol.com and enter the promo code BRAINCANDYThe Brain Candy Podcast is sponsored by/brought to you by BetterHelp. Ep 840840: Magical People, Hysterical Women, & Breaking Bad

Susie had a magical birthday thanks to a serendipitous meeting with one of her favorite people on the planet. Plus, she got her wish to own an accordion! We try to figure out why Sarah hates traditional music (allegedly). We discuss the viral sensation and Olympic unlikely athlete, Australia's b-girl who broke the Internet with her breaking. Is she an inspiration or a problem? Sarah reminisces about a woman who found a loophole to get onto an Olympics' ski team. Susie recounts the infamous piece of scholarship that claimed women used to be treated for "hysteria" by doctors wielding, how should we say, personal massagers. Turns out this was a work of wishful thinking, but its popularity has perpetuated this myth despite the flimsy evidence supporting it. Susie wants to debate Sarah about whether companies should offer "menstrual leave" for people with periods in addition to sick leave, but it turns out they share the same opinion.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/the-decline-of-pools-chipotle-rage-breakdancingJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Visit https://www.carawayhome.com/braincandy to take an additional 10% off your next purchase!Get 20% OFF @honeylove by going to https://www.honeylove.com/braincandy! #honeylovepodFor 55% off your order, head to https://www.nurturelife.com and use code BRAINCANDYGet 25% off your first month for a limited time at https://ritual.com/braincandySee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 839839: Public Pools, Burrito Justice, & Sarah's Hot Take

We learn about the strange coincidence Sarah experienced regarding an ex while she was at camp, and the hilarious way she handled it. We got an update on Sarah's water polo (for grownups) league she's in. And even though historically she's gotten a lot of crap for strapping on a swim cap, but no more, she's bound for world record attempts. We find out why public pools are closing, and what we lose when pools don't exist. We revisit the viral story of a woman who threw a burrito at the Chipotle worker and was punished with a sentence of working at a fast food joint. We learn whether that consequence was impactful or too lenient, and we debate the virtues judges assigning "creative" styles of justice. Sarah confesses the worst thing she did during her marriage.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/the-decline-of-pools-chipotle-rage-breakdancingJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get an exclusive 10% off your first order at https://thrivecausemetics.com/BRAINCANDYCancel your unwanted subscriptions by going to https://rocketmoney.com/BRAINCANDYGo to https://paireyewear.com and use code BCP for 15% off your first pair! For 10% off your order, head to https://mixhers.com/BRAINCANDY and use code BRAINCANDYSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 838838: Boy Bands, Sleep Science, & Dementia Deep Dive

We're discussing the boy band documentary, Dirty Pop, which details the exploitation of teen hearthrobs, and we discuss the reasons why girls have different fandom behaviors than boys. We talk about a 30 for 30 where a football player creates a persona to handle the press and get attention, but the line between identity and brand are blurred to big consequences. We find out what people dream, how much they dream each night, and why men and women dream about different things. We find out how one woman discovered she can smell diseases, why she doesn't tell people when she smells an illness they might not know they have, and how science can use her gift. Plus, we hear what it's like caring for someone with dementia, and how a tribe in Colombia helped determine a clue about what can protect us from getting the disease. We discuss what it's like growing up gay in conservative churches, and how one boy grew up to make movies that tell stories of queerness despite his religious upbringing.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get 15% off LolaVie with the code BRAIN at https://www.lolavie.com/BRAIN #lolaviepodControl Body Odor ANYWHERE with @lumedeodorant and get 15% off with promo code BRAINCANDY15 at https://lumedeodorant.com! #lumepodSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 837837: Nun Brains, Acidic Lake, & Holiday Cards

Sarah is hoping high heels don't come back in style because she has to work on her toe spread. We discuss. We hear how hundreds of nuns were able to show the secret to a healthy brain, and we learn why your vocabulary could predict your likelihood of cognitive issues. Sarah joined a queer water polo team for "seniors," and we are psyched that she's going to find her soul mate in the deep end. We discuss whether sports have become "whiny," and why people treat referees and umpires disrespectfully. And we wonder whether we should rely on robots for regulations instead. We celebrate all the joy, victory, and athleticism at the Paris Olympics. We find out what the "normal" amount of friends people have in adulthood and why it's hard to find people you trust. Plus, we learn why Yellowstone's number one killer isn't a wild animal or even cliffs, but something far stranger.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get 20% OFF @honeylove by going to https://www.honeylove.com/braincandy! #honeylovepodHead to https://moshlife.com/braincandy to save 20% off plus FREE shipping on your first 6-count Trial Pack!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 836836: Rattlesnakes, Miracle on Ice, & Pizza Box Mystery

Apparently there is a den of thousands of rattlesnakes in Colorado, so Sarah is freaking out, and we think rattlesnakes are publishing propaganda to help their reputation. Steve Jobs was a weirdo with a very strange method for relieving stress. Susie talks about an aggressive football program that was accused of being "thugs," and we debate whether it's bad sportsmanlike conduct or a great strategy to win. And we hear why Notre Dame made it seem like playing against them was good vs evil. Susie describes the Miracle on Ice from the Russian point of view, and why they were not impressed with the U.S.A.'s victory in the 1980 Olympics. We find out about an infamous pizza box, and try to find out who made it and why its origins are so mysterious. We discuss a woman who survived a skydiving accident, how she managed to avoid death, and why she doesn't want it to define her.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/a-race-change-on-hinge-steve-jobs-gross-habit-extreme-heatJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Go to https://greenchef.com/braincandyclass for 50% off your first box + 50 FREE Credits with ClassPass!Get 15% off LolaVie with the code BRAIN at https://www.lolavie.com/BRAIN #lolaviepodSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 835835: Hot Stuff, Camp Romance, & Missy Elliott in Space

Sarah is keeping up her New Year's resolution of stretching, but it turns out she needs some strength to go with it because her physical therapist says she's like a combination between the tin man and Gumby. Susie had a run in with a pigeon and she is not happy about it. Bald eagles have a great publicist because despite what they put in the movies, these guys sound like little sea gulls and ducks. National Parks are getting more dangerous due to climate change, so Sarah is giving advice for how to stay cool, stay safe, and still get out in nature. Susie will be inside. We hear why Missy Elliott was sent to Venus. Sarah describes her incredible camp romance record, and why she has what it takes to find love in the woods. Ep 834834: Happiness Factory, Dancing Fools, & Charles Manson's Son

Susie saw an interview with Charles Manson's son, and wanted Sarah to explain why he was so forgiving of his dad. Susie gave a pep talk about the USA and why you shouldn't be despondent about the state of our country, despite what you might feel, after watching a documentary about North Korea. We learn about an Asian phenomenon of malaise and isolation among young people and why the government is working to treat it through a happiness factory that helps parents relate to their kids. Susie recounts a scandal with the Duke lacrosse team where they were wrongfully accused of assault, and how the media, political ambition, and stereotypes perpetuated it. Sarah says she might want to be alone forever, but will this peaceful moment be forever? Sarah explains why communal tables are back in style, but Susie is not impressed. We hear why Sarah's worst date ever involved a case of mistaken identity and dirty fingernails. Plus, did you know Sarah's had ringworm. Now you do. We mourn our quirky king and queen Richard Simmons and Dr. Ruth, and explain why weirdos are the best. We discuss the gamification of, well, everything, why we always fall for it, and why capitalism is stealing the fun of actual games from us. Plus, Susie loses her mind about men who are "raw-dogging" on airplanes and "aura-maxxing" instead of being useful and helping people.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/xwf209wtp9Join our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Head to https://moshlife.com/braincandy to save 20% off plus FREE shipping on your first 6-count Trial Pack.Get an exclusive 10% off your first order at https://thrivecausemetics.com/BRAINCANDYSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 832832: Googly Eyes, Elephant Names, and How to Get Your Ex Back

Susie describes two documentaries about the complexities, risks, and problems with sperm donation, and explains why some men are trying to father as many children as possible and how the mothers and babies are the ones who experience the consequences. We learn about a "protest" in Boston where people fought for the metro system to put googly eyes on buses, and the unexpected outcome they caused. Mattel is making their games color-blind accessible, so now everyone can experience the joy of screaming UNO! Susie finds out the true story of cocaine being in the original Coca-Cola recipe, how it happened, and the racist reasons for why it was removed. We hear about a documentary on the Columbine tragedy, and why the mother of one of the shooters is speaking out about mental health, parenting, and violence. We find out which player is supposedly depicted in the NBA logo, why it is controversial, and why it's still mysterious after all these years. Life coaches are getting rich consulting people on how to get their ex back, and Sarah is not happy about it. We got to have a meetup in real life, and it was magical, except for a disastrous restaurant dining experience where we felt like we were on a Challenge and were force fed disgusting food. We talk about how social media is influencing the photos we take, the memories we make, and the ways it affects our lives. Sarah is trying to overcome her fear of rodents, and a breed of giant rats that scientists have trained to save lives is helping her with her phobia. We hear why Nick Cannon has insured his...family jewels, and why it might not be a bad idea. Sarah explains why some people think AI will provide prison simulations as punishment for real crimes, and we debate whether that's ethical or even possible. Ep 830830: Schizophrenia, Inner Voice, & Olympics Food

Susie talks about the new docuseries, Six Schizophrenic Brothers, which is an accompaniment to the book we read in Candy Club, Pleasant Valley Road, about a family of twelve siblings in which six of them have that mental illness. We talk about how their disorder manifests, why it "scares" Susie, and what we can learn from them. We hear that a Mexican church is selling plots of land...in heaven, and why we think we might buy some. Susie describes the Celine Dion documentary, her Stiff Body Syndrome diagnosis, and why we think she has the brain of an addict. We learn about a study on "inner voices" and how not everyone has one and what it means for their brain function. We discuss the logistics of Olympic food prep, and how they can cater to 15,000 athletes and their nutritional, cultural, and personal culinary needs during their time in the Village. Ep 829829: Reality Bites, Lucy's Remains, & Phallic Flowers

Sarah is going solo camping, so she's preparing to fight man and beast by herself. We discuss how reality tv never was what it seemed and there were always interventions from producers to make the show "more interesting." And we're talking to Emily Nussbaum about her book, Cue the Sun: The Invention of Reality TV, to learn more about it all! Sarah explains a lot about the remains of Lucy, but in case you were like Susie and assumed she meant the comedic actress, you'd be wrong. She's talking about the archeological specimen. Ep 828828: Sweet Caroline, Spice Police, & Magic Birds

Susie is still laughing about Sarah's technique for scaring off bears, but turns out, Sarah isn't wrong. We hear about the problem bear she's about to encounter at camp. We discuss how men are animals at sporting events, but also how "sports anthems" are created. We find out why Sweet Caroline, Livin on a Prayer, and Don't Stop Believing became ubiquitous at games despite having nothing to do with them. Denmark had to outlaw spicy ramen because they thought it was a public health risk, and we debate whether that was necessary. We learn about the science of illusions through the eyes of birds, why certain tricks do and don't work on birds, and why our thumbs have something to do with sleight of hand and the success of a magic trick...Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/ramen-noodle-ban-hairless-lucy-all-things-liceJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get an exclusive 10% off your first order at https://thrivecausemetics.com/BRAINCANDYGet 25% off your first month for a limited time at https://ritual.com/BRAINCANDYCancel your unwanted subscriptions by going to https://rocketmoney.com/BRAINCANDYSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 827827: Lost in Space, Music Chills, & World Records

Sarah is so happy to be home owner (except for all the things that break, go wrong, and cost money)! She's adulting hard today. We learn about astronauts who are stranded at the International Space Station and Sarah is probably panicking more than them or the person responsible (Elon Musk). And she explains how their situation reminds her of being on The Real World. Hear us out. We discuss "music frisson" and why some music gives us the chills, makes us cry, and affects us, and whether this has an evolutionary origin. We reminisce about our month in Brazil and why it's a reminder to "say yes" to life. Sarah celebrates a girl who circumnavigated the globe in a sailboat by herself at 14 years old, and learn the reason why Guinness World Book of Records won't give her an official title of youngest person to do that.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/bear-attack-musical-frisson-stuck-in-spaceJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get an exclusive 10% off your first order at https://thrivecausemetics.com/BRAINCANDYHead to https://www.factormeals.com/BRAINCANDY50 and use code braincandy50 to get 50% off your first box plus 20% off your next month!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 826826: Tell Them You Love Me, Bear Attack, & Oscar Pistorius

Susie's back in the New World, and has a mysterious illness caused by a mystery creature. Her medical anomalies never stop. Sarah is back from a pirate ship adventure where she fought the law and the law won. We discuss the controversial documentary, Tell Them You Love Me, about a scholar who was working with a non-verbal, developmentally disabled man with cerebral palsy who claims they are in love despite him not being able to communicate. We learn about a bear attack in someone's home! A woman was dragged from her bed and killed by a bear who had been stalking her for months. She must not have known Sarah's "trick" for getting rid of bears that sounds suspiciously like Yogi Bear talking to his pal Boo-Boo.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/bear-attack-musical-frisson-stuck-in-spaceJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get 20% off your first order of Liquid I.V. when you go to https://www.liquidiv.com and use code CANDY at checkout!Get 20% OFF @honeylove by going to https://www.honeylove.com/BRAINCANDY! #honeylovepodGo to https://www.litterrobot.com/BRAINCANDY and use promo code BRAINCANDY to save an ADDITIONAL $50 on any Litter-Robot bundle!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 825825: Muppet Movie, Clam Diggers, & Bongo Justice

Sarah's breakup has gotten dirty, and Susie is livid. Thoughts and prayers to that man. We discuss the Jim Henson Idea Man documentary, the price of changing the world and what you lose if you're ambitious, and how his childhood may have had a hand in his demise. We debate a new Louisiana law that allows judges to require castration to convicted sex offenders. We hear about a woman who was fined $88,000 for accidentally collecting clams on a beach, and why we decided not too feel too badly for her. We find out about a percussionist for the SNL band who mysteriously disappears during the opening monologue, and some people want to solve the mystery and get "justice for Valerie Dee Narenjo," and it's hilarious. Plus, a man gets back at his HOA after they force him to put up a fence to hide his boat, and we love a petty neighbor.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/idea-man-88k-for-clams-hoa-paybackJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Head to https://moshlife.com/braincandy to save 20% off plus FREE shipping on your first 6-count Trial Pack!Head to https://mixhers.com/BRAINCANDY and use promo code BRAINCANDY at checkout for an additional 10% off your order!Get 15% off @OakEssentials with the code BRAINCANDY15 at https://oakessentials.com/BRAINCANDY15. #oakessentialspartnerGet 15% off LolaVie with the code BRAIN at https://www.lolavie.com/BRAIN #lolaviepodSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 824824: Stingray Scandal, Tony Danza, & Internet in the Wild

Sarah is in the "carpentry" era of her single lifestyle, and she's whipping up a coffee table. We learn how to spot overpriced furniture. Sarah is in mourning over the "pregnant" stingray who is mysteriously not pregnant and the aquarium that thought she was is tight-lipped. We realize we need to apologize to Madonna because it turns out you can adopt a foreign accent just by visiting another country. We hear why Tony Danza is championing teachers, he needs a new publicity, and we think we love him. AI isn't as advanced as people would like to believe (but it will be the death of us all). We discuss an Amazonian tribe that got the internet, and now they're addicted to adult content, playing Candy Crush, and scrolling on social media. Plus, we learn why people are suddenly becoming nearsighted.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/idea-man-88k-for-clams-hoa-paybackJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get $30 off the first box - PLUS free Croissants in every box - when you go to https://wildgrain.com/BRAINCANDY to start your subscription! This episode is sponsored by Betterhelp. Ep 823823: Green Flags, Zookeepers, & Dance with the Devil

Sarah wants to thank all the lesbians and allies for welcoming her back into the fold. She explains why she thinks she's following in her grandma's power lez footsteps. We hear about "green flags" women have when they're dating a guy, and we're disturbed at how low the bar is (bed sheets) and also disagree about men presenting as feminists. We discuss the TikTok dance cult where a pastor posing as an entertainment manager takes control of his church members's lives. We learn about a woman who saved a tree from loggers by living in it for two years, and why we think she could've done more to help the environment by working with legislators instead of camping in tree branches. We learn why zookeepers have the most "meaningful" jobs, and we debate whether a job is exploitative if the person doesn't believe they're being exploited.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/new-horoscopes-saving-trees-kyle-texasJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Visit https://www.carawayhome.com/braincandy you can take an additional 10% off your next purchase!Head to https://www.smalls.com/braincandy and use promo code BRAINCANDY at checkout for 50% off your first order PLUS free shipping! See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 822822: Banksy Museum, What's Your Sign, & Slap Fighting

There's a new Banksy museum in New York that has not been approved by the artist, but if he were to sue them he might reveal his closely guarded anonymity, and we are delighted that someone might beat him at his own game. We discuss Kansas City Chiefs' football player Harrison Butker's commencement speech telling women to stifle ambitions, be submissive to husbands, and become mothers, and why the reaction of his coach and teammates (including Taylor Swift's man Travis Kelce) reveal how misogyny is still accepted. We celebrate the Reading Rainbow documentary and the work Levar Burton and the show did to help inspire readers across genders and races. We announce changes to the astrological calendar that might affect which horoscope sign is yours! A town in Texas tried to have the largest gathering of people with the same name, but they failed, and we have some ideas why. We hear what age becomes a person's measure of all things cool, and learn why political affiliation predicts how nostalgic you are. We learn about a new sport called slap fighting, the rules involved, and debate why men enjoy violence.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/new-horoscopes-saving-trees-kyle-texasJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Stop wasting money on things you don’t use. Ep 821821: Serenity Prayer, Dangerous Energy, & Atomic Priesthood

You asked for personal stuff, so we're giving it to you. Hear how Sarah is dealing with the hysterectomy aftermath and accepting she won't bear children. We discuss the idea of a meritocracy and the lottery of life that can make you feel out of control. Sarah explains how futurists are planning to warn future generations about the dangers of nuclear waste. We hear how laser ray cats (???) might play a role in helping people spot dangerous energy (what?). We discuss a new trend of "friendship marriages," and Susie gets curmudgeonly (again) about polyamory and non-traditional relationships. Ep 820820: Cheese Addiction, Fake Canadians, & Hug Rights

We get an update on MouseGate 2024, and hear why Sarah left it "in God's hands." Susie says snakes on an island off of Los Angeles are getting aggressive and are proving Darwin wrong. A woman went to rehab for her cheese addiction, and we hear how much she was eating, debate whether it's a real addiction, and suspect we haven't heard the last of her. A woman lived inside of a grocery store sign for one year, and Sarah thinks it shows how bad the housing market is while Susie thinks she's just a goon. Male scientists in Antarctica are as misbehaved as men elsewhere, and their female colleagues are sounding the alarm about the harassment and assaults. American hockey players develop a unique way of speaking in an effort to sound more like their teammates. Susie reveals why Carlos Mencia was accused of joke theft and cultural appropriation, and lost millions as a result while other comics are allowed to do all manor of things without consequences. One family is suing for the "right to hug" their incarcerated loved one, and we learn how prisons are making a lot of money by eliminating in-person visits in favor of video calls.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get an exclusive 10% off your first order at https://thrivecausemetics.com/BRAINCANDYGet 15% off @OakEssentials with the code BRAINCANDY15 at https://oakessentials.com/BRAINCANDY15. #oakessentialspartnerControl Body Odor ANYWHERE with @lumedeodorant and get 15% off with promo code BRAINCANDY15 at https://lumedeodorant.com! #lumepoSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 819819: Mouse House, Puppy Dog Eyes, & Dinosaur Wings

It's an animal-themed episode for better or for WAY worse. Sarah reports on a new dinosaur fossil discovered in silica, which preserved its strange, patchy feathers and scaly skin, but made her wonder why the devil he had teeny tiny arms (that make the t-rex's seem like Shaq's), so she's got a theory. We have a mystery in Colorado involving a bunch of women's shoes, a fence, and a lake, and Susie thinks there was an avant garde photoshoot, but Sarah thinks there is a serial killer on the loose. We hope Susie is right. We learn why scientists were wrong about the origins of puppy dog eyes. But the real memorable moment of this episode came when Sarah had to confront one of her worst fears live on the air. Ep 818818: Ashley Madison, Diss Tracks, & Near Death Experiences

Sarah is thriving and we're here for it! She even joined a special club of like-minded people, and it's kind of hilarious, but also awesome. We talk about the Ashley Madison dating site for married people seeking affairs and how the documentary showed the range of outcomes for people who were exposed in the data breach. The world's fattest monkey, Godzilla, died and we're giving him a proper send off (sans sugar). We discuss the Kevin Spacey scandal, and how the new film about it shows how harassment and assault has the same effect regardless of gender, and how his victims felt guilt and shame for thinking they asked for it. Sarah breaks down the Drake and Kendrick Lamar diss track feud, and why Drake is cancelled. Susie explains new research on near death experiences, and how our dream states and animals "playing dead" might unlock new information on what the brain is doing during this strange, yet not uncommon, phenomenon. Iran has strict laws about men and women in films and maintaining Islamic modesty, and the directors found a useful tool in purses, luggage, and bags to get around the limitations. Ep 817817: Broken Noses, Hungry Judges, & Handwriting Memories

Sarah has big news, and we're so excited for her next chapter. She's growing up, making moves, and being committed. We discuss the Westminster Kennel Dog Show and the amazing dogs and their quirky owners. We learn about the Hungry Judge Effect and how seemingly minor, inconsequential factors can change your life. We hear whether handwriting is better than typing and the effects it has on your memory, recall, and information processing. We discuss a Bumble dating app ad campaign against celibacy that has women up in arms. Sarah explains why so many statues have broken noses, and why it has a hilarious, modern day application we've all seen. We discuss why paper cuts and stubbed toes are so painful and whether penises are less sensitive than fingers. We talk about pet rocks coming back in fashion and Susie wonders if we're being too hard on their owners when people across this great land are dressing geese statues and collecting dolls. Finally we learn why boredom makes us hungry and how to combat it.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/find-out-how-many-lies-people-tell-in-a-dayJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get 20% OFF @honeylove by going to https://www.honeylove.com/braincandy! #honeylovepodHead to https://laundrysauce.com/braincandy and use promo code BRAINCANDY at checkout for 15% off!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 816816: Furries, Liars, and Not Safe For Work

Susie wants to understand the allure of furries. Is this costumed situation kinky or innocuous (just the fur, baby!)? And would you be ok with your college professor doing his lectures in a full costume? We discuss a new Only Fans sensation, Girth Master, who has, you guessed it, a full circumference on show. Susie watched a documentary about Dustin Diamond from Saved by the Bell that helps explain the complexities of his childhood and trauma that may have contributed to his troubled adulthood, arrest, bankruptcy, and decision to do adult films. We consider whether Sarah would be a good or bad prisoner. We discuss why hair in our food is so gross, which leads to a misunderstanding about why Sarah thinks women have to deal with this more than men. We learn how frequently people are lying in daily conversations and what means of communication people are using when they lie the most.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/find-out-how-many-lies-people-tell-in-a-dayJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get $30 off the first box - PLUS free Croissants in every box - when you go to https://wildgrain.com/BRAINCANDY to start your subscription.Cancel your unwanted subscriptions by going to https://rocketmoney.com/BRAINCANDYIf you visit https://www.carawayhome.com/BRAINCANDY you can take an additional 10% off your next purchase.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 815815: Single Sarah, Musical Death, & Northern Lights

Sarah is a single lady again, and she wanted to share what happened, how she's feeling, and why she's, you guessed it, optimistic. Susie just wants to make sure Sarah gets custody of all of her electronics. Sarah had serious FOMO over the North American Northern Lights anomaly, and wants to go to Iceland to get a fix. Sarah has a proposal for youth sports that she thinks will help boys see girls' amazing athleticism. We hear the most likely cause of death for various musical artists, and consider why country artists seem to escape unfortunate demises. Susie has a theory about death metal fans, and shares how one death metal singer collects toys for sick children. Sarah explains why we have so many clothes, how the French cooked up a scheme to increase consumerism, and why social media has our closets busting at the seams (so to speak). Plus, we discuss the importance of preserving indigenous languages.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/musicians-life-expectancy-hidden-pregnancy-shitthropoceneJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get 20% off your first order when you go to https://www.liquid-iv.com and use code CANDY at checkout!Get 15% off LolaVie with the code BRAIN at https://www.lolavie.com/BRAIN #lolaviepodGo to https://www.stopscooping.com/BRAINCANDY and enter promocode BRAINCANDY to save an EXTRA $50 on any Litter-Robot bundle.Go to http://hellofresh.com/BRAINCANDYSWEET for FREE dessert for life! Ep 814814: Jerry Lee Lewis, Conjoined Twins, & Psychopath Kids

You spoke, we listened--you said you wanted more personal stories, so we're doing our best! Hear why Susie's eyeballs are mid and Sarah's on a tropical vacation. Susie talks about Jerry Lee Lewis, who is a rock-n-roll legend, but is highly problematic, and Sarah explains how we can love people for their best traits without condoning their sins. We get confirmation that body parts do correlate in size, so if you see a man with a big nose, just know it might mean a lot more. We discuss a set of conjoined twins who recently died, the reasons they didn't want to be separated, and how they lived day to day. We find out the traits of psychopath children, the shockingly young age it can be spotted, and the hope professionals have for their treatment.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/musicians-life-expectancy-hidden-pregnancy-shitthropoceneJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Get an exclusive 10% off your first order at https://thrivecausemetics.com/BRAINCANDYTry AG1 and get a FREE 1-year supply of Vitamin D3K2 AND 5 free AG1 Travel Packs with your first subscription at https://drinkag1.com/BRAINCANDYHead to https://laundrysauce.com/BRAINCANDY and use promo code BRAINCANDY at checkout for 15% off!Go to https://www.songfinch.com/BRAINCANDY and start your song – after you purchase, you’ll be prompted to add Spotify Streaming for your original song for FREE - a $50 value!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 813813: Fears for Tears, Mona Lisa's Eyes, & Dementia Identity

Three cheers for lesbian weddings, and fingers crossed Sarah gets to have one someday. The Louvre is moving the Mona Lisa to the basement and now we want to know what the fuss is about her anyway. We debate whether Taylor Swift should use a private jet to fly or if she should fly commercial like the rest of us. Sarah wonders what the future of concerts is, and whether virtual reality could provide the same transcendence that in person events do. We learn what effect women's tears have on men and Susie successfully gets Sarah to cry about the movie Steel Magnolias. Susie describes a Pulitzer prize-winning article about dementia and the questions it raises about decision-making, identity, and autonomy for people who have it and their families. Plus, we try to figure out why urinary tract infections are so much worse for older folks.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/undercover-reporter-no-lift-policy-pole-vaultingJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Head to https://moshlife.com/braincandy to save 20% off plus FREE shipping on your first 6-count Trial Pack.To get Naked Wines’ 6 bottle for $39.99 offer, head to https://nakedwines.com/BRAINCANDY and use code BRAINCANDY for both the code AND password. For 25% off your order, head to https://madrabbit.com/braincandy25 and use code BRAINCANDY25See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 812812: Stuffed Animals, Charlie Chaplin, & Titanic Grit

Sarah has the Little League World Series fever, but really she just loves that they hug each other. Susie isn't so sure about all this touchy feely stuff, and is startled by the stats on the number of adults who sleep with stuffed animals. We revisit the story of a journalist who went undercover as a high school student, discuss why it's considered unethical, and debate whether it was valuable research. We hear about a Titanic survivor who continued a life of bravery, and Susie wonders why there seems to be less of that toughness now. We learn about Dan Rather's career in journalism, and how he is a symbol of a bygone era. We learn about senior living facilities' "no lift" policies, and the reasons they call 911 to deal with residents who fall instead of aiding them. We discuss the legacy of Charlie Chaplin and consider whether his "genius" is enough for us to overlook his cringey and questionable romantic partners and his bizarre perfectionism on set. Plus, we celebrate a pole vaulter who is making bank by breaking world records over and over again.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comRead this week's Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/thebraincandypodcast/undercover-reporter-no-lift-policy-pole-vaultingJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:The Brain Candy Podcast is sponsored by BetterHelp. Ep 811811: Schrodinger's Cat, Fake Vegetables, & Microfeminism

Sarah explains why latino families are happier about lending money and giving gifts to their family members, but Susie says cranky families are pretty fun too. Botanists want you to know there's no such thing as a vegetable despite literally everyone else agreeing there is. Susie wants plastic surgery and wants you to vote on what she should get next (even though she insists plastic surgery is "stupid"). A cat was shipped across the country in an Amazon box on accident, and we have several followup questions. We find out what the age is when you're officially old, and it's younger and older (???) than we thought. Sarah explains what microfeminism is and how you can stick it to the patriarchy in smalls ways all the time and make men squirm.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSusie on X: https://www.x.com/susie_meisterSarah on X: https://www.x.com/ImSarahRiceSponsors:Get 20% OFF @honeylove by going to https://www.honeylove.com/BRAINCANDY! #honeylovepodGet an extended 30 day free trial when you go to https://www.dipseastories.com/BRAINCANDYHead to https://www.smalls.com/BRAINCANDY and use promo code BRAINCANDY at checkout for 50% off your first order PLUS free shipping! See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Ep 810810: Hospital Beeps, North Korean Jeans, & Dog Hotels

We talk about the gallery employee who surreptitiously hung up his own art and got fired as a result. Susie makes a confession about The Jinx that has us questioning her mental acuity. We discuss a documentary where a young man travels to a remote island to convert the tribe to Christianity only to meet his death. We hear about the effect hospital machine beeps have on healthcare workers and their patients, and how changing the tone of the beeps can save lives. North Korea allows a BBC gardening show on their state TV, but they blur out the gardeners trousers, and it made our day. Sarah shares why she is upset about jorts, and Susie is talking about dogs again. We hear why dog owners pay a lot of money to leave their pets at luxury hotels designed for our canine family members.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSusie on X: https://www.x.com/susie_meisterSarah on X: https://www.x.com/ImSarahRiceSponsors:Grab your Liquid I.V.
