Moneyball

Based on a true story, Moneyball is all about the Oakland Athletics adopting a new approach to finding players. King Kong (1976)

Stephen has chosen the 1976 characterisation of King Kong as he believes it's the best. The story of a Giant Ape discovered on a remote island and brought to New York City as a tourist attraction and traveling show. Starring Jeff Bridges, Charles Grodin and the first film role of Jessica Lange - this is a different story to the 1932 and 2005 King Kong's but follows a similar path. RoboCop

The 1987 classic RoboCop would be best described as a science fiction action film - but could be seen by many as a glimpse into a heavily privatised corporate run world. Director Paul Verhoeven takes the Edward Neumeier screenplay and places Peter Weller, Nancy Allen, Daniel O'Herlihy, Ronny Cox, Kurtwood Smith, and Miguel Ferrer in to make for a cracking great show. A run-down Detroit could become the host for a new mega city - controlled by RoboCops. Aug 5, 20221h 14m
