City Slickers
When middle aged men start to question aspects of their lives, they look to escape. In the case of Billy Crystal, Daniel Stern and Bruno Kirby, it's to the country to do something out of their norm. There, they meet Jack Palance and some shenanigans ensue, but also some thinking takes place. It's part comedy, part introspective, but fun at the same time!

Crash (2004)
EOscar Award Winning BEST MOVIE - CRASH has a lot of controversy around it's acclaim. Stephen will explain and unpack that with Trevor. This films cast is staggering, Sandra Bullock, Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon, and so many more - all with stories that intersect in the strangest of ways. But the film highlights the racial and social inequities and tensions of the time, and frankly today.

Terminator 2 - Judgment Day
EThe Terminator is back! But we haven't even watched the first movie!! Well, Stephen says that doesn't matter, Terminator 2 is better. We learn about Sarah Connor, her Son and wonder about some of the back story while other parts are filed in for us. EBruce Willis is BACK, this time his skills come into play in a dramatic Airport situation. EMatthew Modine two weeks in a row on this show, but it's Al Pacino and Cameron Diaz who star here along with more big names like Dennis Quaid, Jamie Foxx, James Woods and LL Cool J in the story of an American Football Team. It's a family team, but the coach and the now dead owners daughter perhaps don't see eye to eye. One of Trev's favourite movies features Steve McQueen but he's never seen Bullitt. He knows of the famous Mustang, but has no idea what the movie is all about. All is Lost

Released in 1997 this is a solid action thriller starring Harrison Ford as the President of the United States of America with Gary Oldman as a Russian "Journalist" until things turn bad. War Games
A very young Matthew Broderick is a smart kid, who has all the gear and plenty of idea in his home bedroom, able to hack into systems at a moments notice. When he tries to get the latest game, he has a blast. But causes panic at the same time. Stephen will explain how this movie changed laws, for the better, and was an eye opener at the time.

Swingers
EYou might not have seen this, but Stephen loves it. A 1996 Independent film written by Jon Favreau who also stars in the movie alongside Vince Vaughn. There's also Ron Livingston and Heather Graham. A low budget look inside the life of someone looking to make it in Hollywood. Casablanca
Released in 1942 the origin story of this movie alone is worth hearing. From utterly classic lines to a stunning cast, Casablanca is from a different time. Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman among others telling the story of loyalty and war through a different set of eyes.

Daylight
ESylvester Stallone is in the wrong place at the wrong time, or is it quite the opposite? An explosion causes chaos as a New York City tunnel is collapsed with just a few survivors and not much hope. While it is an action movie, there are many layers to it - enjoy this hidden gem with Stephen and Trevor thanks to Fetch and Hisense

Arrival
This is a more recent film, from 2016 and a multi-oscar nominated one at that. Amy Adams stars alongside Jeremy Renner while Forest Whitaker makes another appearance in a podcast movie for us. True Lies
Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as Harry Tasker the Government Agent (Spy) who undertakes secret missions all while his Wife (Jamie Lee Curtis) considers his day-job to be that of a boring computer salesman. Directed by none other than James Cameron, this isn't a serious action film, but at times it comes across that way. The mixture of laughs makes it most certainly an "Action Comedy". A solid cast, a cracking story - join Trevor and Stephen as we watch through and unpack True Lies (1994)
