Alex is joined by: Andy Stinton - Small Business Man and Michael Diamond - with Upstream Strategy Group Topics include: Premier Ford says he won’t go to Pride. This is not news. He made it clear that as long as cop’s were out so was he. But Pride is nothing but politics these days, used by politicians to pander for votes. If a politician isn’t sincere for their reasons to march how is that not worse? After months of hysteria that there are no savings and teachers will be fired. Toronto Sun exposes millions in spending on things like high-end iPhones, contracts, iPads, top line technology that can be purchased for way less. Peter Gilgan Foundation donates $100 million – largest single gift ever to SickKids. A massive news event was held for this donation. But, are you okay Gilgan made such a public display of this donation? How about bringing out 50-families of sick children for the announcement? What role will you take? Can individuals really bring about this change? All Canadians have a role to play in ending MMIW genocide report says When the Canadian Society for the Study of Education meets in Vancouver, a trio of education theorists will argue that dodge-ball is not only problematic, in the modern sense of displaying hierarchies of privilege based on athletic skill, but that it is outright “miseducative.”An unethical tool of oppression they called it.Dodge-ball isn't just problematic, it's an unethical tool of 'oppression': researchers The Swiss supreme court has ordered track’s governing body to suspend its testosterone regulations on Caster Semenya. The International Association of Athletics Federations ruled that Semenya’s natural testosterone levels give her an unfair advantage over other female athletes and if she is to compete fairly, she must take medication to reduce those levels, or be excluded from international competition. The two-time Olympic 800-meter champion can now run in her favoured event without suppressing her natural testosterone level. How is this fair? Learn more about your ad choices. Alex is joined by: Tasha Kheiriddin Global News Contributor and Founder and CEO of Ellipsum Communications and Joe Mihevic Former Toronto City Councillor Topics include: VP Pence came to talk trade--- and he and our PM exchanged celebratory jabs, but while Pence is behind the Warriors, there is one trade he wants more than any other….. SB: Are the Raptors now Canada’s team? The NBA announced today that multi-platinum selling recording artists The Tenors will perform the Canadian national anthem tonight ahead of Game 1 of the 2019 NBA Finals. Seriously, couldn’t we do better than this??? The Tenors??!! Bill 66 passed in April. This is a piece of legislation that allows municipalities and school boards etc to break the decades long practice of giving the same construction companies being awarded big contracts because of their affiliation with certain trade unions. In Toronto alone--allowing competition would free up to 400 million in one year. Ontario Finance Minister Vic Fedeli will not commit to legislating an end to the -doing-nothing-will-they controversial Hwy. 407 lease, despite defending that tactic to break a contract with The Beer Store. Fedeli was asked if his government would be prepared to use legislation to back out of the 407 contract which sold the highway in 1999 for $3.1 billion. Doug Ford hates this deal. It is an awful deal--Should they look at getting out of it? Despite the Liberal government's vow to crack down on ultra wealthy tax cheats, the CBC learns that the CRA has been making deals with a number of tax dodgers who used the now-infamous Isle of Man scheme to hide their money.. The scheme enabled clients to dodge tens of millions of dollars in taxes in Canada by making it look as if multimillionaires had given away their fortunes to anonymous overseas shell companies and get their investment income back as tax-free gifts. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau hosted VP Pence today and raised concerns about what he called a “backsliding” on women’s rights in the United States. Pence is one of the most prominent American abortion opponents. And when the question about abortion was asked it was 50 shades of awkward. This was nothing more than a stunt to play politics to his base? But embarrassing Pence isn’t in our best interest? Meanwhile, Disney is weighing in… is this something a private company should concern itself with? Disney likely to stop filming in Georgia if abortion law takes effect. We learn that the Privy Council Office disclosed it conducted confidential polling related to an out-of-court settlement with SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. months before Liberal aides sought a deal with the company. Ipsos washired to do the polling for one million dollars...and the issue polled very badly--- most participants felt like corporate criminals could buy their way out of prosecution, that it was an issue fairness of the justice system when dealing with the rich and powerful. And yet,the Trudeau gov tried to quietly ram it through anyway. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Raptor tickets are going for thousands of dollars. Sure it’s not fair-- but are professional sporting events now supposed to be fair? As NBA Finals tickets surpass $60k, Ontario consumer services minister rejects implementing price caps As a panel of international politicians grilled two Facebook executives in Ottawa, representatives for the social media giant said it won’t remove misleading content from the platform during Canada’s upcoming federal election campaign. Robert Mueller made it very clear today that there were multiple systematic attempts to interfere in the US election. A Quebec Judge has ruled there’s enough evidence against SNC-Lavalin for the engineering corporation to be tried on fraud and bribery charges. This not only validates Jodi Wilson-Raybould, but the Liberal gov can still issue a DPA right up until a verdict comes out. Can they? Will they? New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs says vaccination "can't be optional" and that more public education about immunization is needed. His comments come amid a measles outbreak in the Saint John area, a whooping cough outbreak in the Fredericton area and a province-wide gonorrhea outbreak.Does the NB Premier have it right? Vaccination 'can't be optional,' Higgs says amid measles outbreak. A former Facebook adviser is urging governments around the world to shut down social media platforms until they can be reformed. Venture capitalist Roger McNamee told the committee "If your goals are to protect democracy and personal liberty, you have to be bold. You have to force a radical transformation of the business model of internet platforms At the end of the day, though, the most effective path to reform would be to shut down the platforms at least temporarily … The time has come to call their bluff."
