But there are no details on what is being called the Digital charter. The US isn’t joining this effort citing free speech concerns—and while this may be well intentioned this is a slippery slope to censorship. One liberal MP today proposed setting up a separate judicial body to deal with offenders. Team Trudeau are using the abortion fight in the US to play politics here at home. Even though Doug Ford, and Andrew Scheer have made it clear that this issue is closed. Trudeau is now fundraising off of it. Global news got a copy of this email and in it, it names 12 Conservatives who attended an anti-abortion rally on Parliament Hill last week and warns that an Andrew Scheer government will push to “reopen that debate.” Canada’s airline industry has been as turbulent as ever with two massive airline sales. The action kicked off Monday, when Onyx Corp. struck an agreement to purchase WestJet Airlines Ltd. for $3.5-billion. Today Air Canada has entered exclusive talks to purchase Transat A.T. Inc. DO you see this announcement of shrinking competition, or the beginning of a duel that will serve customers well? Clearly meatless burgers pose a threat to the beef industry, otherwise why would cattle producers be waging war? Canadian cattle producers are calling out a popular brand of veggie burgers for advertising its products as “plant-based meat,” They say that the term is inaccurate and breaks federal rules. The Quebec Cattle Producers Federation filed a complaint with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency against California-based company Beyond Meat. The crux of the complaint: the use of the term “plant-based meat” Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In this case bus service for special needs kids. In 2012- then McGuinty commissioned a report that would have saved the board 90 million over 2 yrs. It was ignored. Ontario is the 2nd highest when it comes to laundering. Over 8 billion has been washed through Ontario. And the money is washed through casino’s automobiles and homes. We learned on Friday that Canada's economy created over 100,00 jobs - 10 times more than predicted by analysts. That should be great news. It should mean that the economy is strengthening and heading on the right track... but it's not. It's a little suspicious that a flat-lined economy suddenly comes to life like a roaring dragon. Counterpoint - Friday, May 10th, 2019

Alex is joined by: PETER SHURMAN BROADCASTER … BUSINESSMAN …. FORMER CONSERVATIVE M-P-P BOB RICHARDSON SENIOR COUNSEL AT NATIONAL PUBLIC RELATIONS Topics include: Canada’s economy posted record job gains in April that, along with a pick-up in wages, analysts suggest it’s the strongest signal the country is coming out of a six-month stint of weakness. Employment rose by 106,500 in April, blowing WAAAY past the prediction of 12 thousand jobs. It contradicts everything we are being told about a slowing economy. But if all is so great why are we seeing record use of food banks.. Increased bankruptcies. People are barely paying the bills. And why Justin Trudeau’s numbers are tanking. Well, according to this chief economist-- the numbers don't add up. Three top, former Conservative Cabinet members, one of them Alberta Premier Jason Kenny have come forward to provide information and to testify for the defense in the breach-of-trust case against Vice-Admiral Mark Norman. And yet none were called by the RCMP. The Crown didn’t seem to see the need to find out what they had-- heads should roll. Will they? Former Peterborough Conservative MP Dean Del Mastro, who spent one months behind bars for electoral offences, is accusing Canada’s elections authority of having a personal vendetta against him. He’s calling for a parliamentary investigation. Del Mastro is coming forward at a time of renewed public discussion about the elections commissioner’s decision to strike a compliance agreement in 2016 with SNC-Lavalin. SNC was caught giving illegal donations to the Liberals and was never punished. Veterans Affairs Canada quickly deleted an online video it posted — on Wednesday, to celebrate the 74th anniversary of VE-Day — upon realizing it showed images of the German Wehrmacht, the unified Nazi forces in the Second World War.On Twitter, the message said: "74 years ago, crowds celebrated Victory in Europe (V-E) Day across the Allied nations. Today, we remember the service and sacrifice of those who fought for peace and freedom during the Second World War." An Ontario man is “fuming” after losing hundreds of thousands of Aeroplan miles that he was saving for his retirement. Chris French logged about one million miles on Air Canada flights during his career, which had him flying all over the world on a regular basis. When he retired, he had about 370,000 Aeroplan miles in his account. French booked a trip earlier this year, but when he checked his Aeroplan account, the miles were gone. He had missed the company’s deadline to use the miles by two weeks. The company says it send out warnings. The day after March for life protests are held across the country, and where a handful of Conservative Mpp’s, And Mp’s went out to support the march, twitter is ablaze today with the new line of attack both Federally and here in Ontario--- is this insinuation of a hidden agenda and we must protect our rights. This is a very small fraction of the party. And frankly-- while i am pro-choice, i find the attacks on those who are against it to be troubling. Are those with opposing views not allowed to hold them?? And what is clear is that the RCMP didn’t do a full investigation. They didn’t question V-A Norman at all. Nor did they question anyone in the Harper gov that approved the shipping deal, and ultimately it was this info that forced the crown to stay the charges that cleared Norman. This one is to expand mobile crisis intervention teams to help 1st responders—and mental health supports in schools. Mental health workers will be placed in secondary schools so students have access to early intervention. The former Liberal government had promised in its last budget to give every high school mental health supports by 2020.
