Hanifa is a certified Usui/Holy Fire Reiki Master Practitioner who graduated from Beloit College in 2001 with a B.A. in Communications & Russian & Soviet Studies. For 15 years, Harry Grammer has been the head instructor and training for all New Earth programming that is offered to over 1,500 incarcerated and formerly incarcerated youth per year in Los Angeles County. Harry has personally worked directly worked with over 15,000 youth since the inception of the organization. In addition to developing and teaching core curriculum, and designing new programs, Harry also trains and manages New Earth staff both in detention centers and at New Earth’s two charter school reentry centers.He has a stellar track record with an 83% success rate in keeping the youth he works with from recidivating and on a path of productivity. While in Europe, Broderick met and worked with a wide variety of composers, singers, and songwriters including Nils Frahm, Greg Haines, Laura Gibson, Yann Tiersen, Olafur Arnalds, and Lubomyr Melnyk.Broderick was by this time an in-demand session player, engineer, and producer, but kept up a steady stream of his own work on EPs, singles, and film scores, and he accepted composition commissions for dance and the theater. Broderick provided half of many split recordings, including 2009's Blank Grey Canvas Sky with Machinefabriek, 2010's Apple Bobbing At ___ with Penelope Joy, and 2011's Glimmer with Takumi Uesaka. In 2010, Bella Union released his full-length How They Are. From 2010, Broderick's level of activity was matched only by the number of requests for his time from other artists. He contributed to 19 recordings in 2010, 12 in 2011 (including Oliveray's Wonders, one of his projects with Frahm), and ten more in 2012. He and Frahm also completed and released the first album of a three-year undertaking entitled http://www.itstartshear.com. (Interestingly, the artist withdrew from having any kind of social media account.) Broderick also issued the EP Two Songs for Banjo and Voice and the single "I Will Play This Song Once Again" b/w "These Walls of Mine" that year.Broderick was equally prolific in 2013. Among the ten recordings he contributed to were Mark Kozelek and Jimmy Lavalle's Perils from the Sea, Melnyk's Corollaries, and Nadja's Flipper. He also issued the Broderick & Broderick EP and the full-length Float: 2013 Addendum, and he scored director Rodney Evans' award-winning film The Happy Sad. The following year saw the artist move back to Portland for a time and play on recordings by Portland Cello Project, Aidan Baker, Sharon Van Etten, and Sean Flinn & the Royal We. Erased Tapes issued the Broderick and Haines split dub offering Greg Gives Peter Space, The Album Leaf (Featuring Peter Broderick) was self-released, and the eponymous Peter Broderick + Gabriel Saloman was issued by Beacon Sound.While Broderick played on over a dozen records by other artists in 2015, his own recording and touring activities were equally intense. He collaborated with French artist Félicia Atkinson as La Nuit to release Desert Television and issued the EPs X Luzern and COTN RMXD and the acclaimed full-length Colours of the Night. In 2016, Broderick cut the stripped-down piano-and-voice album Partners with Tucker Martine. (Inspired by John Cage's writings, it featured a reading of the composer's "In a Landscape.") He also produced Brigid Mae Power's acclaimed self-titled Tompkins Square debut album. The pair were married shortly thereafter and moved to Ireland. David Bronner is an American corporate executive and activist. As the top executive at Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps, he has become known for his activism around a range of issues, especially fair trade, sustainable agriculture, animal rights, and drug policy reform.Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps has supported causes related to drug policy reform, animal rights, organic labeling, sustainable agriculture, and fair trade practices. Roughly 10 percent of the company's revenue goes to charitable giving and activist causes annually. Organizations that have been supported under Bronner's leadership include the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (for which Bronner serves on the board of directors), and Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.A particular target of Bronner's activism has been efforts to protect the hemp industry in the United States. Dr. Ted Achacoso earned his college degree in Biology at the age of 18 and his Doctor of Medicine degree at the age of 22. At 25, he was a fellow of interventional neuroradiology, a research professor of pharmacology and toxicology, and a clinical professor of neurology in Manila. At 28, he became a professor of medical informatics and of interventional neuroradiology in Washington, DC, where he also performed artificial intelligence research biased towards connectionist systems. At 30, he began science and technology consulting for socially responsible investment funds. At 35, he founded and ran a group collaboration software company and created the first wireless groupware. At 40 he traded currencies using artificial intelligence predictive techniques for a private fund. At 45, he retrained in Interventional Endocrinology (Anti-Aging Medicine) and in Nutritional Medicine in Paris, and became double board-certified in both specialties. Dr. Ted wrote the first-ever connectome (of C. elegans) in a book, is published in peer-reviewed scientific journals, holds US patents and software algorithms, provides TV and podcast interviews, and delivers lectures. He currently has a tri-continental practice in Health Optimization Medicine (HOMe), a clinical framework that he pioneered to include health management in a disease management practice. While many skateboarders have enjoyed the skateboard graphics of VC Johnson over the last 40 years, his other work has largely been tucked away in private reserve, unseen, even by most of his friends and family. This collection of his works in black and white is now offered in gratitude to those who have supported, inspired and, of course, have bought his work, which has afforded him a comfortable life in his hometown of Santa Barbara, California, where he continues to live and work.
