Ep 50#50 - Should Macca Make a Comeback?

We are back after Macca's travels around Europe and the US with Superleague. The good thing? We have lots to discuss as we sink our teeth into the recent drafting controversy around IM Texas. Chris gives his thoughts on how we can resolve the growing problem with short, over-crowded courses. We also discuss a whole range of results including IM South Africa, WTS Bermuda, 70.3 Oceanside and Crowie's impressive result in China. We specifically talk about the domination Frodo demonstrated at Oceanside, Lucy Charles' performance in South Africa, swimming faster than most of the male pros and the impressive racing from the Commonwealth Games. We also discuss when is it ok for Macca to make a comeback to racing? As a former pro who loves the sport, is there ever a time where he would be able to come back and race as an age grouper without being lynched by the masses? We make a number of announcements for MaccaX including new team sponsors, coaches and upcoming camps. Ep 48#48 - The Greatest Triathlete of All-Time! IMNZ & Abu Dhabi Results

Welcome back! You might be getting confused by just how consistent this podcast is becoming! But with so much happening in the world of triathlon how could we not!?!? This week we discuss the recent WTS Abu Dhabi race which saw Henri Schoeman and Rachel Klamer take the wins in a race full of crashes and drama! We then take a look at the amazing performances at Iron Man New Zealand over the weekend where Terenzo Bozzone put together an incredible swim, bike and run to not only finally win his home Iron Man but also go sub 8 in the process. We discuss the incredible performance of Cam Brown who at 45 broke his own course record! We also discuss the brilliant victory of Laura Siddel who convincingly turned last year's 2nd place into 1st this year with her 9 hour flat result. Tim also gives his friend and training partner Charles Legget a shout out for taking out the 70.3 in Taupo as well (AG only race.) We then have a discussion about who is the G.O.A.T triathlete. Gomez? Brownlee? Frodeno? Allen? Find out Chris's thoughts and why he finds it such a difficult question to answer. Thanks to MaccaX member, James Bale for the question this week.
