S2 Ep 38Beyond the High-Medical Cannabis & It's Impact on Women's Health with Dr. Staci Gruber, PART 2 | Ep 38
EIn part 2 of my interview with Dr Staci Gruber, we delved into the complexities of cannabis use, including its potential for addiction, known formally as Cannabis Use Disorder (CUD). We also touched upon the evolution of cannabis potency over the years, with today's products containing much higher THC levels than those from decades ago, raising the stakes in the risk-benefit analysis of cannabis consumption. The conversation further explored the medical applications of cannabis, highlighting its utility in managing pain, sleep disorders, and other health issues. The conversation also ventured into the areas of women's health, underscoring the lack of research and the growing interest in cannabis for managing conditions like endometriosis and menopause symptoms. It was a reminder of the importance of being an informed consumer, understanding the goal of your cannabis use, and ensuring the safety and efficacy of the products you choose. Our dialogue underscored the evolving landscape of cannabis use and research, highlighting the need for more education and open conversations between consumers and healthcare providers to navigate the complexities of cannabis as both a medicinal and recreational substance. S2 Ep 22Divorced & Dating: Unveiling My Messy Journey to Midlife Romance | Ep 22
In this episode, I delve deep into a personal narrative that is both vulnerable and relatable—my journey through relationships, dating after divorce, and the tribulations of midlife dating and menopause. I lay bare the emotional rollercoaster I've experienced over the last two and a half years, candidly sharing the highs and lows, and the temptation to succumb to negativity. This isn't just a story of struggle; it's a chronicle of the hard-earned crossroads of hope that I've reached. I want to highlight the importance of not playing the victim or falling into despair, but instead, recognizing that every challenge faced is a step toward a better tomorrow. As I recount the pattern of my past relationships, I emphasize the lessons learned, particularly the need for authenticity and clarity in communicating one's needs. It's a tale of repeated patterns—forming attachments too quickly after the illusion of intimacy and trying to mold incompatible relationships into something they're not. But it's also a story of growth and the realization that it's crucial to hold out for what truly satisfies one's needs, without compromise. From setting arbitrary dating rules to understanding the importance of communication, I explore the interdependence that forms the foundation of a healthy relationship and the self-reflection necessary to find joy and fulfillment on one's own terms. This episode is a heartfelt reflection on personal growth, the quest for genuine partnership, and the courage to demand the love and life one truly deserves. BONUS: The episode for him-5 Ways to Keep Her Happy
5 heartfelt ways to keep the spark alive and make your female partner feel truly cherished. The first tip is all about acknowledgment; when she enters the room, make it a point to appreciate her presence fully. Whether it's a compliment about her appearance or a simple expression of missing her throughout the day, it's crucial to show that her presence matters. Even if you're caught up in the climax of a football game, invite her to sit with you for a moment – it's a gesture that speaks volumes. I emphasize the power of touch, not the over-the-top public displays, but the subtle, tender gestures that convey affection. The third piece of advice is about thoughtful gifting; it doesn't have to be extravagant, just something to show you've been thinking of her. Next, never assume she knows how much she's appreciated – tell her often. Lastly, invest in quality time together. A date need not be traditional; it could be anything from rock climbing to a simple bike ride. The essence lies in being present and making memories together. S1 Ep 17Beyond Vanilla: Spice Up Your Sex Life | Ep 17
EIn this candid episode, I dive into the world of unconventional sexual experiences and the importance of open-mindedness when it comes to intimate exploration. From the common fantasy of threesomes, particularly heterosexual men's desire for a threesome with two women.I share stories, like my ex-boyfriend's experience with a threesome, which highlight that the reality often differs from the fantasy portrayed in adult entertainment. This isn't just about the act of a threesome; it's about encouraging non-judgmental conversations surrounding diverse forms of sexual expression. We explore ways to spice up your sex life, from introducing ethical porn and literature to discussing kinks and fantasies. It's all about embracing your desires and finding what works for you and your partner, whether that involves using toys, experimenting with role play, or even considering swinging or other forms of open relationships. S1 Ep 16Let's Close the Orgasm Gap! | Ep 16
EIn this episode, I address howwe can bridge it to ensure women's sexual satisfaction. In heterosexual sex, understanding and education play crucial roles in addressing this issue. Men often don't realize that clitoral stimulation is essential for women to orgasm. Women may not be aware of their own needs, leading to frustration during penetrative sex. Factors like stress and distractions can affect arousal, but it doesn't mean women want sex any less than men. Sex is often portrayed as a quick, performance-driven act in media. The narrative around sex must change to bridge the orgasm gap. Women are sexual beings, and embracing their changing needs can lead to more fulfilling and satisfying sexual experiences. Karen Bigman, a Sexual Health Alliance Certified Sex Educator, Life, and Menopause Coach, tackles the often-taboo subject of sexuality with a straightforward and candid approach. We explore the intricacies of sex during perimenopause, post-menopause, and andropause, offering insights and support for all those experiencing these transformative phases.Have a burning question or topic suggestion?
