In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the latest moves made by the Pittsburgh Steelers. We cover the signings, waivings and Reserve/Injured additions that happened since our Monday show. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held another press conference on Tuesday, so Alex and I parse all of the meaningful things that he had to say. We discuss who may or may not play on Thursday night against the Atlanta Falcons based on some things that Tomlin said on Tuesday. We also discuss what we would like to see in that regard when it comes to first-team players. Alex and I then dive into other aspects of the Steelers' third preseason game on Thursday night and what we both hope to see and will be looking for in that contest. Alex has completed his most-recent 53-man roster prediction, so we discuss the few changes that one has when compared to his previous one. We discuss the offensive line, tight end, and wide receiver spots quite a bit during this breakdown of his 53-man roster. August 21, 2023 - Season 14, Episode 12 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Saturday night preseason game against the Buffalo Bills and specifically, about how rookie offensive lineman Spencer Anderson was used in that contest as he played four different positions. We discuss the offensive line groupings used Saturday night against the Bills and which players played multiple positions. The steelers will reportedly sign a new wide receiver soon so we update that latest news that surfaced Monday morning. Alex and I then move on to discuss the Saturday night game against the Bills after both of us fully digesting the all-22 tape from the contest. We go position group by position group and start on the offensive side of the football. We highlight several plays and several individual players throughout and also question roster chances on a few of them. We move over to the defensive side of the football as well and discuss what stuck out on the all-22. The play of rookie CB Joey Porter Jr. is discussed quite a bit during this segment. In this Sunday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Saturday night preseason game against the Buffalo Bills. We start with the health of the team coming out of the Saturday night home game. We also talk about the several players that did not participate in the contest throughout the show. Some postgame comments made by head coach Mike Tomlin and a few players are addressed early in this show and throughout it. Alex and I then get into recapping the Saturday night preseason game and we start with the Steelers’ offense and the first two touchdown drives that unit had before exiting. We talk about the fine showing that quarterback Kenny Pickett had once again in his two and only series and make sure to go over the long touchdown run by running back Jaylen Warren and what the byproduct of that might be. We then go through each offensive position group and discuss the play of certain players based on the TV tape of the game. We then do the same on the defensive side of the football and spend extra time talking about rookie outside linebacker Nick Herbig and how definitely needs to stay on the outside based on just 40 preseason snaps played. We both eat some crow for the listeners in this segment. We go in-depth on his growth already as a pass rusher. We also discuss the debut of rookie cornerback Joey Porter Jr. and his Saturday night interception. Special teams play also gets covered late in this show.
