During her career, she flew aircraft ranging from a cub on amphibious floats, to the DeHavilland Twin Otter and Boeing airliners including the 727, 737, 747 and 787. Her decades long career paved the way toward gender equality in the airlines and remains an icon for young women looking towards the skies to this day. Her uniform resides in the Smithsonian Museum.
