LONG PAUSE And as you find the perfect space in your bed, the perfect, most relaxing place in the sheets, take a moment and breathe. LONG PAUSE And as you breathe, invite your body yo let go and rest. Let yourself center for sleep. LONG PAUSE Now, draw in another long, deep breath, and imagine seeing a feather gently alight on your feet. PAUSE As the feather softly rests on your feet, It’s fluffy touch relaxes your feet and toes, deeply relaxes them. PAUSE Now, envision the feather floating toward your lower leg and then gently wafting down touching the legs. PAUSE Its warm feathery touch is so relaxing. It sends calming, healing energy through your legs while just resting on them. PAUSE The feather moves slightly across your legs. And with each touch, deepens the relaxation. PAUSE Breathe in, and imagine the feather moving toward your thighs. Once again, it lands gently on them, easing any tension, opening the thigh muscles, and relaxing them fully. PAUSE And now, notice the feather alighting on your belly, sending its relaxing, healing energies deep inside you. PAUSE And while the feather rests on your abdomen, feel its relaxing power sinking through to your lower back, helping your lower back release tension, and become just like butter. PAUSE Then the feather softly moves to your center, where it nestles against your core, brushing away tension and spreading relaxation all through the core and mid-back. PAUSE The feather floats to your chest, landing near your heart, where your perfect rhythm lives. And the feather relaxes you even more deeply. PAUSE Now, the feather’s energy reaches your upper back and your arms, softening those muscles and absorbing all the tension. PAUSE Now, the feather scoots just a few inches above, to your neck, where your throat and neck muscles give way to the feather’s relaxing power. PAUSE The feather pauses and you breathe Feeling warmed muscles that melt into relaxation, leaving you open and full of peace. PAUSE Now, Imagine the feather brushing your face, and with each touch, the muscles in your jaw, your cheeks, and your forehead soften with all the tension dissolving. PAUSE Now, the feather gently strokes the top of your head, relaxing your scalp and opening you to beautiful dreams. PAUSE Imagine, now, a soft purple light stretching for the sky from the top of your head. PAUSE And imagine Spirit gently dropping dreams into the light, happy, loving dreams that will carry you through the night. PAUSE And as Spirit gifts these dreams to you, your body softens even more and asks you to embrace these beautiful dreams and the sleep they now bring to you. LONG PAUSE And as your body relaxes, allow your breath to slow and deepen, with the warm, safe darkness gently sinking into your muscles. LONG PAUSE And after a few moments, you can feel the warmth easing tension in you and you relax even more. PAUSE As you breathe again, gently turn your focus inward, into that warm, safe darkness that rolls out from your center. PAUSE Now imagine a light rising slowly up in the darkness. A light that casts hues of rose, orange and purple all across the beautiful blackness, like a magical sunrise. PAUSE And the colors become more vivid, before giving way to a sparkling sun that peeks over the horizon. PAUSE The sun continues its ascent, casting amber rays across any trace of darkness, and lighting up a grassy savanna for you to see. PAUSE As you stand at the edge of this flowing grassland, this African savannah, you notice a tree in the distance, a brown, spindly-arm tree. PAUSE And so you walk toward the tree through the tall, golden stalks of grass that whisper your name as they bend in the breeze. PAUSE And as you approach the tree, you notice a lion, calm and relaxed, sitting next to the tree and nodding for you to come closer. PAUSE When you near the tree, the lion raises his mighty paw, honoring the strength he sees within you. PAUSE A smile forms on your face, and you nod at the lion, placing your hand against Brother Lion’s paw. PAUSE Breathe in, and hold your hand strong, as it touches the lion’s cushiony paw, where you can feel strength flowing between you, steady and strong. PAUSE As you bid Brother Lion “goodbye,” you walk through the savanna grass again, hearing it whisper “Strength, strength, strength” with every step. PAUSE Now, imagine seeing a zebra in the distance, black and white against the yellowy grass. A zebra that beckons you to move closer. PAUSE As you near the zebra, she nods and smiles at you, then kicks up on her hind legs and brays with joy. PAUSE Now, take a moment and visualize folding your hands in “Namaste” to Sister Zebra's free spirit. PAUSE And when the zebra draws close, you hold her face in your hands, and look eye-to-eye with her. PAUSE Together, you and Sister Zebra feel the freedom flowing between you, steady and strong. PAUSE And as you bid Sister Zebra “goodbye,” you walk through the savanna grass again, hearing it whisper “Free, free, free” with every step. PAUSE Now take a moment and visualize a giraffe in the distance, tall and majestic, rising above the savanna grass. A giraffe that Invites you to move closer. PAUSE As you near the giraffe, he nods and bends down, softly smiling, nuzzling his gentle face against yours. PAUSE And as you stroke the giraffe’s long neck, he licks your face with a long, warm tongue. PAUSE And, while you touch Brother Giraffe, you feel the kindness flowing between you steady and strong. PAUSE You bid Brother Giraffe “goodbye,” and walk through the savanna grass again, hearing it whisper “Kind, kind, kind” with every step. PAUSE As you keep walking through the savanna grass, the sun kisses your face, and peace and joy flow through you. PAUSE A breeze carrying the sun’s warmth brushes by you, and changes the whispers of the savanna grass. PAUSE… Now, see if you can recall a recent experience where you felt disappointed. It could be a disappointment in yourself, others, or a situation. Allow yourself to fully acknowledge and feel the disappointment, without judgment or resistance. Notice where you feel it in your body, and gently breathe into that area, allowing it to soften. LONG PAUSE… As you breathe, imagine that with each inhale, you are inhaling soothing and healing energy, and with each exhale, you are releasing disappointment and any related emotions. Breathe in peace, and breathe out disappointment. PAUSE… Now, bring to mind any expectations or attachments that you had in relation to the situation that led to disappointment. Notice if there were any rigid expectations, unrealistic demands, or attachments to outcomes. Without judgment, simply observe them as they arise, and offer yourself compassion for holding onto these expectations. LONG PAUSE… Visualize yourself holding these expectations in your hands, and then gently release them, letting them float away like clouds in the sky. Allow yourself to let go of any need for things to be different, and simply be present with what is, without resistance or grasping. PAUSE… As you continue to breathe, imagine a warm, healing light enveloping you, comforting and nurturing you. Allow this healing light to fill any spaces within you that were occupied by disappointment, soothing and calming those areas with love and acceptance. PAUSE… Now, bring to mind any forgiveness that may be needed. Forgiveness towards yourself or others involved in the situation that led to disappointment. Offer yourself and others forgiveness, knowing that everyone makes mistakes and has their own challenges. Allow forgiveness to flow freely, releasing any lingering resentment or bitterness. LONG PAUSE… Take a few moments to simply rest in this space of letting go, Of surrendering to the present moment, and of cultivating self-compassion and forgiveness. Let go of the past, and be fully present in this moment, knowing that you have the power to release disappointment and create a fresh start. LONG PAUSE… As you prepare to drift off to sleep, allow these words to embrace your heart. I release disappointment and embrace the present moment with love and acceptance. I am worthy of forgiveness and compassion. You are deserving of peace and healing. PAUSE… Now, as you slowly begin to drift into sleep, carry with you a sense of lightness and freedom from disappointment. You pass over the moon like a wave with no sound. Then the egret flies gently– ever so gently– down, Until you both touch the forest ground. PAUSE And you notice these woods are different from woods you know. Instead of being cloaked in darkness this night, The flora and fauna glow. PAUSE You take a step, and leaves crackle beneath your foot. The ground shimmers in gold as you walk and look. PAUSE To each side there are flowers glistening like the stars– Purples, greens, pinks and blues And beautiful sparkles in trees and shrubs afar PAUSE A pine tree shines in green with its pine cones in silver. It looks divinely different, and yet, comfortably familiar. PAUSE And you pick a pine cone up Enamored with its glow Then set it back down gentle and slow. PAUSE Nearby, two raccoons chitter while peeking out from pink shrubs. In the distance, a snoozing mother wolf cuddles her drowsy cubs. PAUSE A doe and a buck pause, looking you in the eye. Then scamper away deep in the night.. PAUSE Now, the bird spreads its wings and calls you once more. Without hesitation, you climb aboard. PAUSE Fly past the moon and trees, back to your bed, with the nature’s magic night cozied up in your head. LONG PAUSE… As you sleep with Mother Nature, You realize one thing. PAUSE The time comes to take flight To say adieu to this rose And then glide To the next sight. PAUSE Off to a daffodil, a blazing yellow blossom, swaying to and fro, A sweet treasure in her column. PAUSE And as you alight on the top of the flower You notice a bee, a honeybee, ‘neath the daffodil’s tower. PAUSE So you descend to the daffodil’s cushiony petals, Spread out your wings Into the softness, To rest just a little. PAUSE While the bee goes to work Kissing her flower Making Mother Nature’s elixir So you bless her and allow her. PAUSE Then the bee flies away, and it’s your time to drink a natural cocktail From the flower’s brink. PAUSE And the rest and the drink restore your power, And off you sail to Your next garden flower. PAUSE While sailing across the garden in summer A wood fairy joins you And you soar through nature’s colors. PAUSE The fairy’s wings flutter Like glittery green glass And she kindly offers to help with your task. PAUSE So together you coast And she leads you to a meadow with flowers swaying in the wind, And trees casting shadows. PAUSE Purple, gold and white blooms dot the land as for miles It’s beautiful and inviting So you thank the fairy with a smile. PAUSE And as you sip nature’s potion, You nod to your fairy friend, She smiles and sings fairy songs so you join in.
