S2 Ep 3131: Mindset Reset

In this quick tip episode of SGS, Jeremy talks about what he calls Mindset Reset. Many times people try to do too much too quick, and as a result, they don't accomplish their goal or the task they are working on. Then people get discouraged, make excuses, and quit. For example, are you one of the 88% of people who have quit a New Year's Resolution in the first few weeks? If not, keep doing what you are doing! However, if you have a tendency of starting things and not completing them, it's time to try something different.Instead of trying to do it all at once, try starting small. Start out with baby steps. Move forward by making incremental progress. Jeremy likes to think about the analogy of taking one bite at a time. Think about eating an apple. You don’t eat an apple in one bit, rather, you take one bite of an apple at a time. Then you rotate it, and take another bite. One of the ways Jeremy likes to celebrate MLK Day is by reviewing quotes from Martin Luther King, Jr. This year, this quote from MLK hit home with Jeremy. "If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward." S2 Ep 3030: How to Deal with Toxic People

In this episode, Jeremy shares some tips on how you can deal with difficult people. Toxic people are those who constantly complain, blame, make excuses, or flat out lie. They are always trying to be the center of attention and crowd pleasers. They thrive on trying to elevate themselves by minimizing or manipulating others. They thrive on drama and if there is no drama, they try to create it. Jeremy talks about how his Don't Sweat It mentality can help when dealing with toxic people. He also shares some ideas on how to respectfully remove yourself from toxic situations, including going outside to get some fresh air, going for a walk or working out, listening to some music, or taking a few minutes to pray or do some breathing exercises.Dealing with toxic people can be tough. They can bring you down to their level. They can drain you mentally and even physically. They can make you feel miserable. If you let toxic people get the best of you, they will, and they will enjoy every minute of it. But on the flip side, when you learn to deal with toxic people, it can change your life for the positive.Make today your day. Figure out what you want, then get started, stick with it, and go make it happen!3 types of toxic people I 'stay far away from' by Evy Poumpouras - https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2025/10/16/former-us-secret-service-agent-stay-away-from-3-toxic-personalities.htmlGet in touch with Jeremy: [email protected]: ScrapGuySolutions.com

S2 Ep 2929: Don't Sweat It

This is a Quick Tip Episode of Scrap Guy Solutions where Jeremy shares his "Don't Sweat It Mentality."There are many things in life that we can control and many more that we can’t. But often times, we get caught up on the things we can’t control. Too often, we let the things we can’t control drag us down and mess with our minds. Jeremy's Don't Sweat It Mentality will help you work through those situations that are out of your control. Instead of wasting your mental and emotional, and often times physical, juice on things you can’t control, Don’t Sweat It. Instead, save that fuel to help you be the best you can be. Redirect that negative energy to fuel to help you make things happen. You can get in touch with Jeremy at: [email protected] today your day. S2 Ep 325: We can all do better

It’s been a difficult few months in our country when it comes to violence, especially political violence. And it’s truly unfortunate because we are better than this. There have been far too many horrific events in our country where people have resorted to violence resulting in the loss of innocent life, including right here in Minnesota. It’s time for us all to do better. The hate and especially the violence needs to stop. It doesn’t matter if it’s political violence, a shooting at a school, a place of worship, or a youth sporting event. It doesn’t matter if it’s racism or antisemitism. We are better than this. Killing innocent people is not acceptable and it’s certainly not something that should be celebrated.Get in touch with Jeremy: [email protected] today your day. S2 Ep 123: Who Knows You?

Welcome to the Season 2 premier of the Scrap Guys Solutions podcast!"It's not what you know or who you know, it's who knows you?" Jeremy received this advice about 25 years ago and in this episode, he provides some real-life examples of why it's so important to build relationships, expand your network, and most importantly, leave a positive impression with people you meet.Ask yourself, when someone is hiring for an important position within a company, or when someone is looking to fill a board seat for a local non-profit, are they going to recruit you? Next time time you meet someone new, make sure to leave a positive impression because you never know when you might meet them again in the future, ow when you might need them for something in the future, or they might need you for something in the future. You can get in touch with Jeremy by emailing: [email protected] today your day. S1 Ep 1313: Unite America (Special Edition)

I can't stop thinking about the assassination attempt on President Trump. I’m getting a lot of questions everywhere I go, and at this point, I don’t know anything more than what I’ve seen on social media or the news, but I do know something has to change in our country and it's time for us to come together. The hate and pure disrespect needs to stop. The anti-American mentality needs to change. We need to unite as a county for the good of the country. Instead of working against each other, we need to work together to find common ground on the very issues that affect the people of our great nation. We don’t have to agree on politics. We can have differing views on issues, and in this country we have the right to vote for whomever we want, however, we can do it in a respectful manner without the hate. We can do it in a way where we try to find common ground, and we can do it in a way that makes us all proud to live in the greatest county in the world. I’m darn proud to be an American and I hope you are too! For the good of our country, now is the time for us all to do better. S1 Ep 1111: How to earn respect

INTRODUCTION: Family road trip to the college world series! HOW TO EARN THE RESPECT OF OTHERS: There are three things everyone of us can do to earn respect from others. First, one of the best ways to earn the respect of others is to be respectful to others. It truly is as easy as treating others the way you would like to be treated. The second thing we can all do to earn respect from others is to be honest. Be honest and be true to yourself and others. The third thing that will help you earn respect is getting things done. Proving you get results. Anyone can say anything they want to say, but results speak for themselves. You will earn the respect of others when you say you are going to do something and you do it. When you follow through. When you put in the time and the effort and you work your butt off to get it done.Treating others with respect, being honest, and getting things done are three things every one of us has the ability to do, if we want to, to help earn respect from others. There is no doubt you can do it, but you and only you can go out and do it. So go do it!Make today your day. Figure out what you want. What a season! The Minnesota Timberwolves brought some much needed excitement and energy to sports fans and non-sports fans alike all across the state of Minnesota and beyond. And better yet, the future of the franchise is bright! Anthony Edwards is absolutely incredible! We have Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert, Jaden McDaniels, Mike Conley, and of course the 6th man of the year, Naz Reid. Not only these guys, but our guys coming off the bench would also step up when needed. When someone was struggling, others stepped up to make things happen. Our superstars made our role players better and our role players made our superstars better. It was a team effort, which made it all that much sweeter! There is a lot of excitement and hope for the Minnesota Timberwolves! Not only do we have a solid nucleus of players, but we have a strong coaching staff with Chris Finch leading the way and a championship team builder in Tim Conley as president of Basketball Operations. Tim Conley made things happen in Denver by building a championship team there and let's hope that he and the rest of the team can do it right here in Minnesota! We are moving in the right direction and let’s keep that momentum going. It's time to bring a championship to Minnesota! After all, next year is our year!

In this episode, you will hear how two farm kids from different parts of Minnesota met in Winona after high school, fell in love, got married, grew a successful radio business while raising a family, and to this day, continue to actively volunteer and support the community they have lived in for decades. And how did they do it. They did it by betting on themselves. They did it by putting in the hard work, by putting in the effort, they did it by building a team and empowering that team. They did it with good communication with each other and those around them. They did it by pushing and ultimately motivating others to be the best they can be. They did it with a neighbors helping neighbors attitude. They did it by doing what it takes to make things happen.Jerry and Pat are a modest power couple. And when I say modest, I mean modest. Jerry and Pat don’t live a flashy lifestyle, but rather a more low-key and under the radar lifestyle. After all, it is the Winona way!
