The Royals have made a lot of mistakes leading up to the 2023 season where they reside as one of the worst teams in baseball yet again. One of the bigger mistakes was signing a questionably good player to a guaranteed 4-year deal worth $25 million. Which, for all intents and purposes isn't a LOT of money for MLB standards, but it still has had massive consequences to the Kansas City Royals. We're three games into the regular season and it is Ikuyover like a Bocchi the Rock meme.
