Ep 8181. I tried out a “pay what you want” option on an offer, here’s how it went

In today’s episode I share how I tried out a “pay what you want” option on an offer, here’s how it went: Earlier this year I wanted to experiment with something new in my launch strategy for a brand new offer. Kajabi has a new “pay what you want” feature that allows your customer to enter what they want to pay at checkout. There’s no set price (you can set a minimum) and it’s up to the customer to choose what the value is.In this episode, I share what I learned from this experiment:Using this feature can be a good way to do a/b testingIt can be a way to collect data from your customers to help set an official price pointWhen I let my target group in this experiment pay what they wanted, they chose to pay an average of $15 for the offerI ignored the average people chose to pay because I saw the actual value and I increased and set the price two different times with great resultsNew customers might not see the value in a paid offer like your current customers doPeople see the value that you assign to the offerIt’s through your marketing that you’re attaching value to the amount you’re charging for the offerPick a price you can stand behind and work on your marketing messaging to show the worthResources & Links:The Online BlueprintStories that SellIG UniversityKajabi 30 day free trial + 20 free story templatesConnect with Mya:Follow on Instagram @myanicholJoin my email listCheck out my websiteNow on YouTubeMake sure to hit subscribe/follow so you never miss an episode!Find the full show notes here: https://myanichol.com/2024/08/20/i-tried-out-a-pay-what-you-want-option-on-an-offer-heres-how-it-went-episode-81/ Mentioned in this episode:Join IG University!IGU

I’ll share my real world struggle I’m currently facing myself with my own offer and how I’m navigating that. Failed launches are inevitable and they happen to every business offer; but giving up is not an option! There’s always more things we can try. In this episode, I cover two different scenarios and options for each to spark ideas for you to try such as: Post reel or content that relates to the offer that you can use a CTA withTarget a specific group or segment from your email list to send content tolShare a different perspective on the offer that you haven’t shared beforeAsk people what’s holding them back from purchasing and listen to their feedbackMake small tweaks to marketing messaging to see what gets better tractionExtend deadline of launchAdd a bonus for the next X amount of people who join the offerRelaunch your offerRefine your offerFor additional guidance, check out The Launch Bundle. Resources & Links:The Launch BundleProfit Mavens SummitStories that SellIG UniversityKajabi 30 day free trial + 20 free story templatesConnect with Mya:Follow on Instagram @myanicholJoin my email listCheck out my websiteNow on YouTubeMake sure to hit subscribe/follow so you never miss an episode!Find the complete show notes here: https://myanichol.com/2024/08/13/is-your-offer-launch-not-going-as-planned-episode-80/ Mentioned in this episode:Join IG University!IGU

Ep 7777. Creating magnetic messaging that sells

There’s been a common theme in my DMs recently with a lot of questions along the same line of “how do you make your messaging so magnetic”. Magnetic messaging means that people are drawn in and sold before you actually have the chance to sell to them. Are you feeling stuck to attract your ideal clients? I’ll share my movement piece, and how it embodies the values and the vision behind what I teach. In today’s episode, I’m going to walk you through simple tips to create copy that goes from boring and predictable to exciting and relevant, ultimately creating magnetic messaging that sells. These tips are: Create a movement piece that embodies the overarching idea of what it is that you teach. This needs to resonate deeply with your audience and the outcome they’re searching for. Infuse your copy with effective language that speaks directly to your ideal follower or ideal client’s aspirations or challenges to drive conversion Leverage Chat GPT to help you understand your ideal client’s thoughts (I share a prompt below to use). Ep 7676. Your weakness is your greatest superpower

I was recently listening to a training and the coach said “your greatest perceived weakness is what you need to lean into, it is actually your greatest strength.” That concept has stuck with me for weeks. In today’s episode, I will share when it finally clicked for me that your weakness is your greatest superpower. We don’t want to deny or suppress our weaknesses; we should be reframing our mindset and embracing the unique qualities that make us who we are. I encourage you to identify those areas that you think are your weaknesses and lean into them as they could be a catalyst for your transformation! In this episode, we cover: How this principle applies to you and your business Aspects of ourselves that we might consider our weaknesses and how they can be flipped into something useful in your business How we can see our “weaknesses” as opportunities for growth and transformation instead of barriers Resources & Links: Profit Mavens Summit 150 Free Hooks List Building 101 Manychat Stories that Sell IG University Kajabi 30 day free trial + 20 free story templates Connect with Mya: Follow on Instagram @myanichol Join my email list Check out my website Now on YouTube Make sure to hit subscribe/follow so you never miss an episode! Ep 7575. What do you do when the going gets tough?

What do you actually do when the going gets tough? In today’s episode we’re getting really vulnerable. I’m going to walk you through some difficult things I’ve been going through recently and how I’m navigating each of them. Reflecting on everything in the last month made me realize no one fails, they just quit before they succeed. We’re all going to face tough times; it’s part of the entrepreneurship journey. Listen along as I share some of the tough things I’ve been dealing with: I had my lowest income month I’ve ever had in the last 2.5 years A student in one of my offers told me I’m not embodying what I teach A student was plagiarizing one of my offers I had a tragedy in my personal life recently I lost a very large investment in another business I goofed up with something I taught in one of my offers While it’s been a really tough month, I’ve tried to remember that disruption proceeds your biggest breakthroughs. Ep 7070. Business effects part 4 - Red Bull

Today’s episode is part four and the final episode of a series looking at successful businesses and taking the techniques they’ve used to become massively successful and thinking about how we can apply those to our businesses in the online space. In this episode I cover the Red Bull Effect: building community. Red Bull markets a lifestyle, not just a product, so we need to look at how to align our businesses to a lifestyle or a set of values that our target audience aspires to. Red Bull targets customers that live and enjoy high energy activities, sports, and adventure. Ultimately this makes Red Bull a symbol of vitality and excitement. In today’s episode I share how to embody the lifestyle you want your brand associated with so you’re a living, breathing example of what you teach and preach. I’ll dig deeper into these questions: How can you sell the lifestyle that your offers provide? What is the physical representation of the emotional aspect that you help people with? What stories can you tell that will create more community connection? How can you create a legacy for your brand? Does your life represent your message? Ep 6969. Business effects part 3 - Apple

Today’s episode is part three of a four-part series looking at successful businesses and taking the techniques they’ve used to become massively successful and thinking about how we can apply those to our businesses in the online space. This episode dives into the Apple Effect: making things work together to create a seamless user experience. In our businesses, this means creating a cohesive experience for our customers across our digital products and offers. Implementing seamless cross sells, complimentary offers, and bundles within your ecosystem drives customer loyalty and repeat customers. In today’s episode I share four ways to implement the Apple effect into your business to retain customers: Building an offer suite strategy Selling on the back end of an offer Present an offer on the front end to create cross sells Bundle offers that go well together Resources & Links: Profit Mavens Summit 150 Free Hooks List Building 101 Manychat Stories that Sell IG University Kajabi 30 day free trial + 20 free story templates Around the Clock Masterclass Connect with Mya: Follow on Instagram @myanichol Join my email list Check out my website Now on YouTube Related Episodes: Episode 67: Business effects part 1 - IKEA Episode 68: Business effects part 2 - Amazon Make sure to hit subscribe/follow so you never miss an episode! Ep 6868. Business effects part 2 - Amazon

Today’s episode is part two of a four-part series looking at successful businesses and taking the techniques they’ve used to become massively successful and thinking about how we can apply those to our businesses in the online space. This episode covers the Amazon Effect: the fact that the quicker people get results, the more likely they are going to want to be repeat customers for a long time. This isn’t rooted in psychology but my personal take on Amazon’s success. When applying it to the offers we create in our own businesses, I’ll dive into questions to ask yourself to get people from point A (their pain point) to point B (the result they want) as fast as possible to achieve a higher completion rate. Today’s episode is part one of a four-part series looking at successful businesses and how we can implement their techniques into our own strategies. Ep 5656. Is pain point marketing dead?

Today’s episode is spicy! This episode came about because there’s a lot of conversation happening in the business space that speaking to pain points in your marketing is not the way to go and instead you should only speak to their desires. A lot of this conversation is happening on Threads. So in this episode, I’ll share my thoughts on how I believe pain point marketing is a strategic tactic that is very powerful, not just for you getting sales, but for helping your community to feel seen. Today I’ll walk through 6 ways to effectively use pain points in your marketing: Get specific Use pain points to emphasize and empathize, not shame Use pain points to help people better understand the situation they’re going through Use pain points to serve people on a higher level In marketing come from the energy of “this will help someone feel seen and heard” When you are calling out mistakes share it from a “me” and not “you” perspective Resources & Links: List Building 101 Manychat Stories that Sell IG University Kajabi 30 day free trial + 20 free story templates Around the Clock Masterclass 100 Hook Ideas - FREE GUIDE Connect with Mya: Follow on Instagram @myanichol Join my email list Check out my website Now on YouTube Make sure to hit subscribe/follow so you never miss an episode! Ep 5050. Navigating business after baby

Today I am recording my very first episode since having a baby! I am already starting off strong with some behind-the-scenes and honesty around how things are going. The questions I’ve been getting a lot are about having a baby and it’s only fitting that on my first official episode back I talk about navigating business after having my baby girl in October! Please note this episode is applicable to many situations that are about preparing for and learning lessons while taking any time away from work, not just for maternity leave. In this episode you’ll hear me dive into these 6 questions: What helped most when it came to preparing for maternity leave? What do I wish I had done prior to maternity leave? Why didn’t I use up all the prep time that I had for maternity leave? What have I learned since having a baby? How has/will things change now that I’ve had a baby? I talked about not wanting kids at one point, how did that change and looking back what would I tell myself in that moment? Ep 4747. Two impactful questions

As I was thinking about what I wanted to share in the very last episode of the year, I thought this is a lot of pressure! What do I leave people with that’s super impactful?! After thinking about it for a few weeks, I decided to share two impactful questions. I’ve been asked these questions throughout my journey in business and these are the two questions that have really stuck with me. In today’s episode, I'll share two impactful questions to ask yourself: What do you want to be known for? Instead of always asking how you can make more money, ask yourself how can you make what you’re already making right now even easier? Ep 4545. Recent failures in business

Today’s episode is all about my recent failures in business. This is where we’re getting honest, real, raw, vulnerable….because you know, this is what this podcast is all about. I recorded this episode 7 times; talking about failures is so hard! A lot of people don’t talk about when they fail, but the intention of this podcast is to share everything from uncertainty and challenges to success. In this episode I run through four aspects of failure I’ve seen in my business recently and how I have changed, or are planning to change course: Relaunching my scalability program when I did Taking on way too many one-on-one clients while also running my mini-mind group Self sabotage showing up on Instagram lately Losing my focus with shiny objects instead of focusing on selling and focusing on what my income producing activities are Resources & Links: IG University Kajabi 30 day free trial + 20 free story templates Around the Clock Masterclass List Building 101 100 Hook Ideas - FREE GUIDE Connect with Mya: Follow on Instagram @myanichol Join my email list Check out my website Now on YouTube Make sure to hit subscribe/follow so you never miss an episode! In today’s quick episode, I will walk you through ideas and examples on how to grow your Instagram in 30 minutes a day. In this episode I’ll cover: A content creation, posting, and batching schedule you can implement with specific examples of how to utilize your time A few things I don’t think you need to worry about or focus on when trying to grow your Instagram (e.g. hashtags) Ideas on things I do think you should do to help grow your Instagram (e.g. learning about the algorithm, listening to my previous episodes on Instagram tips, checking your analytics, etc.) Reasons why and how you should audit and optimize your account Resources & Links: IG University Kajabi 30 day free trial + 20 free story templates Around the Clock Masterclass List Building 101 100 Hook Ideas - FREE GUIDE Connect with Mya: Follow on Instagram @myanichol Join my email list Check out my website Now on YouTube Related Episodes: Episode 14: Learning Instagram Part 1: the algorithm Episode 15: Learning Instagram Part 2: myths Episode 16: Learning Instagram Part 3: IG growth in 2023 Make sure to hit subscribe/follow so you never miss an episode!Mentioned in this episode:Join IG University!IGU
