On Sunday, March 15th, Pastor Todd began a new sermon series. This series will take us through the pages of the Gospel of Luke. In this first sermon, we took a look at Luke 1:1-25. The title of this sermon is "When God Breaks the Silence." Have you ever experienced a time in your life when you felt that God was silent? As today's text begins, there had been an approximate 400 year period where no Scripture had been recorded and no canonical prophetic word had been recorded. It began after the ministry of Malachi, our last Old Testament prophet. This 400 year period ended with the announcement that John the Baptist would be born. In this sermon, Pastor Todd reminds the listener, that although God may seem to be silent, He is often working behind the scenes and is preparing us for something. To watch the video of this sermon, please click this link: https://youtu.be/_ptl30rYkhM Find us online at:phbcsomerset.com - websiteFacebook.com/PHBCsomerset - Facebook

On this final Sunday of the year 2025, Pastor Todd preached from John 6:16-33. The title of this sermon is "Since Jesus Passed By." As the year 2025 ends and 2026 begins, some of us might find ourselves like the disciples in our text today ... in the middle of a storm. When the disciples welcomed Jesus into their boat, the boat was immediately on the shore. However, the Scripture does not tell us that the storm ended. However, it certainly looked radically different once Jesus was in the boat. Today, I'll continue the 1 Thessalonians sermon series. We will look at 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8. Last Sunday, I asked the question "Will You Stand?" Today, I'll ask the question "How Will You Walk?" 1 Thessalonians - Week 4: Will You Stand? // 1 Thessalonians 3:1-13
As we look at today’s text, 1 Thessalonians 3:1-13, we are not simply reading a letter. Instead, we are seeing a picture of a pastor who loves the people that God had given him. As we think of what has occurred to this point, remember that Paul had led these people to Jesus, but we know from the book of Acts that Paul was forced to leave Thessalonica after just being there for a short time. Paul was being persecuted there.Paul did not have an easy way to check on them, and he was burdened for these people. So he sent Timothy to check on them. When Paul received Timothy’s report that the Thessalonians were standing strong, Paul rejoiced. However, Paul continued to pray for these people. The title of today’s sermon is “Will You Stand?” When trials, temptations and persecution comes, will you stand on God’s Word?To view the sermon video of this sermon, please click this link: https://youtu.be/K4lfEWCb-rsFind us online at:phbcsomerset.com - websiteFacebook.com/PHBCsomerset - Facebook

Paul reminds us that the gospel is what changes lives, even in the face of hardship. This passage also gives us a glimpse into the heart of a shepherd. 1 Thessalonians - Week 2: Living the Gospel Out Loud // 1 Thessalonians 2:1-12
1 Thessalonians 2:1–12 gives us a picture of what true, God-honoring ministry looks like. Paul and his companions didn’t preach for popularity or profit, but with courage and integrity, even in the face of suffering. They had arrived at the point in their lives where their goal wasn’t to please people but to please God. God sees the heart. They cared deeply for the Thessalonian believers—like a gentle mother tenderly nurturing her children and like a father encouraging and guiding his family. Their lives matched their message, and they urged others to “walk worthy of God, who calls you into His kingdom and glory.”Always remember that true ministry is not about power, prestige, or applause—it’s about humility, sincerity, and a deep love that points people to Christ. To watch the video of this sermon, click this link: https://youtu.be/gmE9ZQRSaeUFind us online at:phbcsomerset.com - websiteFacebook.com/PHBCsomerset - Facebook

Join us as Pastor Todd continues the sermon series from the Book of Galatians. Today we will take a look at Galatians 5:1-26. We live in a time when freedom is preached from every corner. However, the Bible speaks of a much greater freedom. The freedom that the Bible speaks of was purchased and paid in full by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. This is not freedom to sin. It is not freedom to compromise with the world. Instead, it is freedom from the bondage of the law and the power of the flesh. This sermon is for anyone who is tired of trying to "measure up" and is ready to be led by the Holy Spirit. To view the video from this sermon, please click this link: https://youtu.be/CsZ1CP1Fy_MFind us online at:phbcsomerset.com - websiteFacebook.com/PHBCsomerset - Facebook
Galatians - Week 5: From Slaves to Sons // Galatians 4:1-31
On Sunday, July 20th, Pastor Todd continued the sermon series from the book of Galatians with sermon number 5 in this series. The title of this sermon is "From Slaves to Sons," and we took a look at chapter 4 of the Book of Galatians in its entirety.Galatians chapter 4 is one of the most powerful chapters that is contained in the entire book of Galatians. In this sermon, we see from the text that Paul reminds us that if we are in Christ, we are no longer slaves, but instead sons (and daughters) of God. As we look at the sermon text, we see that although the Galatians had experienced the freedom that results from the saving power of Jesus Christ, they were trying to now rely on religious legalism. This was the result of false teaching that they had been subjected to.In today's world, people struggle with various things. Maybe for you it is a struggle with guilt, or possibly you might be struggling with your identity in Christ. If you are currently struggling with either of these things that I've just mentioned (or anything else), this message is for you.If you would like to see the video of this sermon, please click this link: https://youtu.be/8z_jnvqPMBwFind us online at:phbcsomerset.com - websiteFacebook.com/PHBCsomerset - Facebook
