Batman and Robin with Billy (CommanderCast)

Batman and Robin is the last of the 1990s Batman movies, and maybe for good reason. The movie was not all too well received. It didn’t really fit the tone of the preview two 90s Batman movies. And yet it still had a game come out for it. A year after the movie, but it still happened. Listen in as Chris and guest Billy from CommanderCast admit that this is their favorite of the 90s Batman movies and take a look at the tie in game that came with it. Learn such things as: How in the world can this be anyone’s favorite of the old Batman movies? What classic game should have been forgotten about instead of replicated when making the game? Is it even possible to have too many puns? And much more! If you want to be a guest on the show please check out the Be a A Guest on the Show page and let me know what you’re interested in. Ex-Mutants with Karrington Martin (Real Dudes Podcast)

In the far far future of 2055 the world has somehow survived World War III. Except with all of the nuclear explosions and toxins in the environment and stuff like that the world’s population has all turned into mutants. Let’s ignore that the science doesn’t work there at all. But one scientist found a way to turn mutants back into humans! And yes, we’re ignoring that science there as well. Listen in as Karrington Martin from Real Dudes Podcast comes on to talk about this little known comic (at least to everyone I talked to) that someone has a game that is pretty well known game, at least in the Retro Gaming circles. Learn such things as: Who picked this comic to get a game anyway? Why are there different sets of characters? What esoteric thing did Chris get hung up on with the game? And much more! Also have a look at the Wikipedia list of games based on comics. I haven’t added this game to the list on purpose, but I might go back and do it later. April Fool's Bonus:Alien 3 with Keith Gawla (Pop Up Film Cast)

bonus

A lot of you (and by that I mean at least 1 person) has asked if I’d ever look at the Alien franchise. This is as close as I’ll get since the movie clearly came first and didn’t get made with the comic in mind. But you asked for it, and there are comics. So why not? Keith Gawla from Pop Up Film Cast (@PopUpFilmCast on Twitter) comes by to continue ridiculing me for my horrible appearance on his show. Learn such things as: How old do Chris and Keith think each other are? Did Chris actually watch this movie? Is this the one time where the Game Gear version is playable? And so much more! Bonus: The Eynes Anthology Book One

bonus

Remember John Horsley? You know, the guy from y2cl.net? He’s been on the show a few times. But this one is a little bit different because we’re here to look at something that he’s making instead. You see John, along with a ton of other people way more talented than me, are making a comic called The Eynes Anthology. And I was lucky enough to get John to come on the show and tell us about it. But he can describe it a lot better than I can: Monsters are everywhere… They always have been. They lurk, hidden in every shadow, behind every dark thought. They are probably in your closet, possessing your friends, and they’re almost certainly creeping behind you now. They are most often undetectable. And when they’re not, it’s too late. Throughout time, these monsters have feasted on society – both physically and metaphysically. The chaos they bring fuels a great dark spirit that seeks to end the world with pain and torment. The Eynes are our only hope… The Eynes family line has been cursed since before recorded history to detect the presence of these monsters. It is their bound duty to stop these creatures from destroying humanity through any means necessary, be it by sword, spell… or other. Though the Eynes can feel when the creatures are in close proximity, the monsters themselves are also drawn toward the family. But not everything is as it seems… And although the war between the monsters and the Eynes has waged for centuries, The black-and-white battle lines have grayed over the years. not all monsters may be considered evil and not all Eynes are as righteous as one would think. These are the tales of the Eynes Family. Different art styles, different writing styles, you’re sure to find something you’ll love here.Be sure to check out the blog post over at Play Comics for some sample images from the book.If anything here catches your eye then definitely go check out The Eynes Anthology and be sure to check out the Kickstarter campaign so we can make a physical version of this happen. I promise, you'll love it.
