Everyone that I know who knows who The Addams family is knows them from the 1960s TV show or the 90s movies. A few people from this game. This has got to be one of the shortest comic runs I've seen to get a game. 13 issues on the initial run, 4 issues on the relaunch that tied into the game. And it shows, I never hear anyone talking about Armorines. I can't imagine why. So why try to make a game out of this one? I've always been into history. Alternate history, weird stuff, you name it. There's a reason why I like the Indiana Jones movies. I think some of the best social commentary comes from the viewpoint of a character who can say what they want without really worrying about the consequence. One of the things I've really come to like about comics is that there are so many stories happening at once. You can tell there's something overarching going on but can also focus on what's just in front of you at the moment. The problem for me has been knowing where to start, what tie ins need to be read and what can be skipped, if something is going to be a good jumping on point, that sort of thing. Will Dickstein might have that solved with his Ch05en series. The newest edition, which focuses on Kris, was my first experience in this world and I didn't feel lost at all reading it. In fact I really want to go back and read more of it now to see what else is going on. So no matter if you want to start with this Kris centered story or anywhere else in the series you'll be in a good place.

You know what's a great idea? Being a game publisher/developer and just buying a comic publisher so you can have IP to make games with a built in audience? So should you grab Marvel or DC? How about Valiant? Yup, that's what happened. No special messages this time or anything, the show is simply going on a break. Not sure for how longs. I know that sounds ominous, but it's really not that bad. Kayleigh and I are going into hyperdrive in our quest to get the house we're going to die in. Not that I think the death part is going to happen anytime soon but I'm sick of moving. Part of this though means that I'll have to take the time that would normally go towards getting the podcast ready to instead get the house ready to sell. Years of flea market trips and just general not keeping up with things to the level that a proper Southern home should be kept up with means that we've got some work to do. So like I said, no set timetable on when Play Comics will be back. Could be after we're in the new house. Could be before then if we get this place ready to go fast enough. We'll see. Patreon Episodes are still going on as normal because I have enough of those recorded to last a few months. Plus I can probably sneak in a recording there and be fine. Although if I need to do that then we have bigger problems with getting into the new house than I originally thought so I really hope that doesn't happen. I know, one of the problems with the show is that the handheld versions of games exist. And that if there’s a console version I tend to just ignore the hand held ones because, let’s face it, are they ever better than the console version anyway? Especially with a series like Turok that’s built around being a first person shooter on a screen that can show really good colors that’s also bigger than 2 square inches.
