THE TITLE of today's show is a reference to a response Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg gave to a question during an interview last week with the New York Times Magazine: Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe [v. Wade] was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.

THIS Independence Day weekend saw protesters turn out, in a driving rain here in Indiana, at nearly 2,000 events to demonstrate public dissatisfaction with our government's profligate spending. However, nothing would deter the major media's ongoing effort to deify, or at least canonize, the late Michael Jackson.

THE Egyptian meme continues to percolate through the culture: Barack Obama as the new King Tut; Michael Jackson as a court wizard to Ankhenaten; and now a woman who calls herself Nona Paris Lola Ankhesenamun Jackson, who claims to be Jackson's widow and says, "Though he died to this earth he lives with my father Khalid Lucifer." "Khalid" is a pre-Islamic Arabic name that means "the immortal" -- thus her father is the immortal Lucifer. Ms. Ankhesenamun (the name of Tutankhamen's wife, who married the vizier, Ay, after Tut's death) may be nuts, but the meme continues to spread.

WHILE the world fixates on the late Michael Jackson, the Russian military has quietly moved some 8,500 soldiers to its border with Georgia for exercises–just a month after NATO troops completed exercises in Russia's tiny neighbor. Why? HISTORY seems to be the theme of today's show, although that wasn't our intent when we hit "record". FEDERAL authorities are searching for one Daniel James Murray, a New York man last seen withdrawing $85,000 from a one-week-old bank account in St. George, Utah. ONE of the most effective tactics of the enemy is not necessarily a manifestation complete with fire and brimstone, but rather a series of pinpricks that put us into a distressed, depressed, or contentious state of mind.
