Tunnel Vision: Trojans mistakes prove costly in 31-16 loss to the Fighting Irish
The Tunnel Vision crew of Keely Eure, Shotgun Spratling and Ryan Abraham have returned from South Bend and are back in studio ready to talk about everything they saw at Notre Dame Stadium during USC's 31-16 loss to the Fighting Irish. There was no shortage of mistakes from the Trojans who gained more yards than the Irish but fell far short on the scoreboard. The team also talks about how interim head coach Donte Williams said after the game that he didn't feel the team lost, they simply ran out of time. Was that really the case? The Trojans didn't score a touchdown until the 4th quarter so it took a while to find the end zone, but the Irish also had a 15-point lead and was knocking on the door to score again before taking a knee to end the game. In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast Coach Harvey Hyde and Ryan Abraham try to make sense of the baffling USC loss to Stanford Saturday night in the Coliseum. Can the Trojan offense bounce back and overpower Stanford?
Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham and Keely Eure are back in breaking down the Trojans very first game of the 2021 college football season, a 30-7 victory over the San Jose State Spartans. Emergency Podcast - College football realignment and what it means for the USC Trojans
In this emergency edition of the Peristyle Podcast host Ryan Abraham goes solo on the eve of Pac-12 Media Day to talk about the news that shook the entire college football landscape, Texas and Oklahoma leaving the Big 12 and potentially joining forces with the SEC. Whatever happens with the Longhorns and the Sooners, college football will never be the same, with big brands utilizing their power to make deals that would help their programs as opposed to helping their conference. So what does that mean for USC? We will likely find out some of new Pac-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff's plan on Tuesday, but USC athletic director Mike Bohn has to be happy knowing that the Trojan brand is powerful enough to make strong move similar to Texas and Oklahoma if the Pac-12 doesn't appear to be able to right the ship. For Bohn, every option should be on the table from going independent to joining another conference. And if USC does stay in the Pac-12 he can fight for a bigger piece of the revenue pie, helping his athletic department in the process. For now USC fans just need to hang on and enjoy the ride, because change is coming and the Trojans are in good position to improve their stock in this approaching new era of college football.
