We discuss how good Melbourne coffee is, Olly’s mullet growing potential, and enjoy the usual buzz from Dazza’s. And yes, Olly sings.

This week the parkrun Adventurers reflect on a big weekend in Sydney, including a mega-frond at Cooks River parkrun, the return of the City to Surf, and all the other adventures that left us a little exhausted come Monday! We hear roving reports from Tracey in Atherton, Rich Ard from his first international parkrun at Sippo Lake in the USA and a debut roving report from Abi at Werribee Mansion! Rest assured, we’ve not left out Dazza’s or our Informant. We may even have another poem zone…

This week while Olly was a speedy roving photographer at home, Mel was in the company of bananas at Kirkdale. Confused? Read on… An old favourite returns (again), a bottle washes up and there are roving reports from Lake Claremont, Darwin, Manzini & Stratford-Upon-Avon. Abi’s away this week – no need to listen to the end.

This week while Mel shares stories of her adventure to Umbagong parkrun, we discover that someone plugged the Hotline back in. Ingrid files a roving report from The Ponds and Alison comes to us from Stratford-Upon-Avon. We also have some bumper emails, Comm Games updates, plus all the usual fun with Dazzas and pronunciation challenges.

Olly is back! Yes we know we didn’t tell you he was having a week off … but never fear, we didn’t miss any adventures. However, this week’s pod is full of fun with an interview with speedy parkrunner Aidan Hobbs, roving reports from Alison at Cambridge NZ and Sarah at Willoughby, and both Informants making an appearance.

This week, Mel and TOC join a few adventurers for a frond at Kirkdale Reserve parkrun, PK joins the pirate club at Cairns parkrun, statesman Sarah checks in from Kununurra parkrun, and Sam catches up with a familiar Northern Territorian at Darwin parkrun. It’s raining men!! No not really… but NSW is flooding and Mel had a stressful visit to Wollongong, dodging cancellations before ending up at Cowpasture Reserve parkrun. Meanwhile, Olly popped up at North Sydney parkrun with the Idea’s Man! We also have news from Johan in Namibia and a special NAIDOC report from Ali. Plus all the fun from Canada Day, Dazza’s and the ongoing office industrial relations.

This week saw Olly back at his home parkrun, while Mel finally ticked off a visit to New Farm in QLD. Wait till you hear Olly’s singing at Dazza’s! And there is some news to share and some to redirect. PK returns with a roving report from Copper Trail, Eman pops in from Railway Park and Mel chats to some visiting EDs at Eynesbury Heritage Trail juniors. For legal reasons, we cannot comment on the current supply of Caramilk in the staff room fridge.

This week’s podcast is dedicated to those that help us enjoy our parkrun vicariously when we inevitably have to miss that special day of the week… The parkrun Adventurers catch up on a lot of celebrations and speed, with parkrun and personal milestones, and a whole lot of pace! Several of the parkrun Adventurer community visit Dolls Point, with Tracey in a Tutu and TOC bringing us the buzz of the morning, while Tania reports in from Pegasus’s and Brett Bailey’s combined milestone and Sarah chats with a new member of the team at Cottesloe while searching for a message in a bottle. We’ve got mail, Dazza’s, and a whole lot of great friends and company to help us all savour our parkrundays, even if we missed them.

This week, the parkrun Adventurers reflect on ‘fronding’ adventures home and away. While Mel tells listeners about joining several adventurers at Altona Beach parkrun, Olly shares stories of festivities and visiting adventurers at Shellharbour parkrun’s 8th birthday. And he also reacts to THAT happy birthday video. We hear from Adrian, who catches up with a couple of visitors to Peppertree parkrun, while, after another big Dazza’s, we decide it’s time to despatch a challenge to Sarah. This week, Mel and Olly reflect on two interstate parkrun adventures, with Mel finding a local connection at the new Panboola Wetlands parkrun and Olly heading south to visit Geeveston parkrun, while the team take the opportunity to bring a taste of Shellharbour parkrun in other creative ways. Tracey in a Tutu explores and discusses the elements at the even newer event at Elliott Heads Beach parkrun, our Informant is well again and back with the stats, and we get a dose of elections, autumn and a few more fines at Dazzas! And in our public service announcement, we’d like to remind everyone at least one more time to order their Ugly Christmas Buffs by Wednesday 1st June 2022!

This week the parkrun adventurers celebrate the highlights of National Volunteer Week, our volunteers! Sam pulls up the comfy chair to chat with Pippa White, who recently achieved her 250th parkrun volunteering milestone. Dazza’s gets in on the action, with a smattering of volunteer highlights amongst the weekend’s action. Mel shares with us the highlights of last weekend’s Festival of Mel, while our adventurers community offer up a range of great challenge, acronym and achievement goodies!

Big announcements this week with the date for palm being set! But in regular programming, Mel was at Coombs parkrun and Olly was at home hosting some surprise visitors. Mel brings us some tourism tips, Sarah Jefferson checks in at Nightcliff parkrun and Ingrid brings us news from Dolls Point. This week we hear from international parkrun tourism extraordinaire, Cass Castleston, who joins Sam for a chat before his upcoming Aussie parkrun tourism. Mel recaps a visit by #teamellis and a frond of adventurers to Warrandyte River Reserve, while things also have a distinctly western feel with roving reports from Cam at Mundy Regional and Sarah at Lake Claremont! With our Informant (light), Dazza’s, and a mailbag featuring both song and poetry, there’s something for everyone!

The parkrun adventurers reflect on a busy weekend of Easter hop-penings, with Mel adventuring across state borders to Riverbank parkrun. We feast on roving reports Johan at Loxton, Sarah at Homestead and Lyndell featuring the long-awaited (for real this time) return of Stones Corner parkrun! Dazza dazzles with a delicious twist on hot cross buns, our Informant brings the goodies, and our Easter mail-basket is full of correspondence!

This week Mel adventures to the amazing new event at Werribee Park Mansion, while Olly is sidelined at home Tracey checks in from Chermside and Des Connor Park juniors, Sarah’s back with compass news from SA – what? Plus all the regular updates from Dazzas, The Informants and the Adventurers Club.

It’s a quieter week for the adventurers with Olly back at home at a soggy Shellharbour and Mel staying local enjoying a morning of Balloons at Studley parkrun. Caveman Cam checks in from Applecross parkrun over in WA, and our Informants make a sheepish return to the office. Meanwhile, who does prepare the envelope for the Obi? Mel is getting suspicious!

While another week may have passed, Mel and Olly take the opportunity to reflect on a purple, parkrun-packed palm weekend, as well as their ventures from the parkrun weekend just gone. We catch up on lots of parkrun action across Australia and South Africa with roving reports from Sarah at Mt Clarence, Johan at Weavers Country Estate, Tracey in Queens Domain and Lyndell at Stockton parkrun. Plus all the excitement from Dazza (despite the brief delay), Abi and ‘an’ Informant.

The parkrun adventurers reflect on some frond-ly parkrundays as they both adventure once again. We hear Roving Reports from PK, checking in at the new Oaklands Estate Reserve parkrun, and Tracey in a Tutu at Bargara parkrun, calling for monickers for their new loggerhead turtle adventurer. We savour all the lurve from Dazza’s and hear who was right (or right-est) in The Informant’s stats question. This week The Adventurers catch up with Ercan Boduk, the Event Director of one of 2022’s new parkruns, Wentworth Common. We also hear of sunshine, music and parkrun body art from some of our Channel 5 News Crew, with PK visiting Mawson Lakes and TOC at Lewis Park Reserve. Mel and Olly share a few parkrun app and gaming updates from our community, a mysterious visitor appears at Dazza’s, we carry on prepping for palm22 and discuss how to bring our Informant’s back into line.

This week Mel and Olly enjoyed different adventures of the musical type! We dive into a new index challenge and Mel finds things that Olly is better at. We also change up the format at Dazza’s, hear from our millennial Informant and hit a new milestone in our Adventurers club!

This week there have been adventures in all directions! Olly took to the road for the second week heading south west to Braidwood Showgrounds parkrun, while Mel trekked north west to Murray Bridge. There’s also roving reports from Western Australia with Cam at Pioneer parkrun, western Victoria with Adrian at Peppertree parkrun and New South Wales with a guerilla report from Alistair at Riverbank parkrun. The inbox was overflowing this week, Dazza’s was a biosphere of geographical chaos and the Intern returns to upset order in the office.

This week Olly & Mel return to regular programming with news from Wentworth Common & Frankston Nature Conservation Reserve parkrun, a full round up from Dazza's and a new Obi recipient. We welcome back Tracey for 20-2-2 at Des Connor Park juniors and Lyndell returns to the crease from Baringa parkrun. Meanwhile The Informant gets technical with naming conventions.

We’re back after our week off and hitting the ground running. Mel chats to Geoff Glaab @ Joe Creason parkrun in the USA. And we present Dazza’s Summer Series (a reduced overs version). We’ve got roving reports from Lyndell @ Zillmere, Adrian @ Peppertree & Alison pops in from across the ditch from the launch of Otaki parkrun. Plus the Informant makes his triumphant?? return. Aside from all the cricket references (and cicadas) … there are ideas a plenty!!

2021 is a wrap, as the Adventurers catch up on Christmas festivities that included a parkrun Santa gift to parkrun New Zealand, plus – in true 2021 style – more parkrun pausing across the globe. We hear the Christmas cheer from our festively fabulous roving reporters, Alison at Puarenga and Sam at Picton parkrun. Dazza closes for the year after enjoying a little of the Christmas festivities, and we take on the ever-contentious topic of setting our parkrun goals for the 2022 as we prepare for a short break to ring in the great year that will be 2022.

It’s almost the end of the year and … well … we’re tired. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions for Mel & Olly in 2021 and this week has been no different. As always, we reflect on the week that was - the good, the bad, and the heartbreaking. Mel filed a short report from Wallaby Track parkrun, Pippa send a Christmas message from the UK and The Informant wraps up the stats for 2021. Plus all the news from NSW return and the new Shellharbour course. Merry Christmas Adventurers!
