It’s Swoopy Septmeber and we’re all streaking! This week Toc joins Mel as we return to our ‘Big Things’ discussion. Mel recounts her trip to Ballina Coast parkrun and TOC re-indexes at Rosebud. Billo drops by with a stella report for Yackandandah parkrun, Pippa has more motivation for getting it done and Johan has all the proper pronunciations. Plus we explain the bingoe card challenges and suggest the next level up.

As we approach our favourite streaky season we bring you reflections from International dog day at Parkindula Reserve parkrun, plus we have roving reports from TOC at Tallangatta and Johan at Cape Agulhas. Pippa drops in with streaky advice, the Birthday Boy brings us all the cake and there are emails a-plenty.

Simon is back this week, but he didn’t parkrun. Mel did a re-run but can’t blame sunscreen for missing the windmill. Confused? Well, add a late breaking blog post, a Wentworth Common roving report and a hill climbing Intern, and maybe you’re in the ball park.

It's Level Two in Review this week as Mel and Olly recount their morning at Centennial parkrun and all the fun of the City2Surf. Sarah brings us an update from Patawalonga River and Lyndell joins the birthday celebrations at Wishart parkrun. There's a few announcements and bright ideas but still no solution for Olly's post-it predicament.

TOC joins Mel this week on Level 2 with a view to share some of his highlights from his recent European vacay. We’ve got news from a giant orange moustache, clarifications, graphs, age grade 1st finishers, Club Corner and roving reports from Studley and Greenbank parkruns.

This week, Simon sat in the host’s chair and he had a surprise co-host! Discussions covered Zillmere & Newy adventures, APAC event calls, incredible age grade records, and an island off the coast of Ireland. Rachel discusses parkrun clubs, while the mystery surrounding PSH’s time travel is explained.

Mel was discombobulated by staying local and Olly was completely fine with doing the same. Pippa proposed a new name for an old challenge and the Informant is kind of sort of back, in a way. The Birthday Boy does his thing and there’s a welcome return of Mel and Olly sharing some of the highlights from Dazza’s. All the data from the Consolidated Club Report and some fun looking to the next few weeks has us all wondering… exactly how good will Olly look in a Wonder Woman costume?

Mel and Olly are back with a bumper edition of the podcast and they have LOTS to talk about, from parkrun COO’s open letter on number challenges to all the upcoming excuses to party. The Office Lady brings us an interview with world record ultra-runner, Phil Gore, and we hear roving reports from Sarah and Alison. Sarah calls in from Presint 18, Ome Kyuryo, Japan and Baxter parkrun, while Alison shared her catch up with Tom Williams at Lake2Lake Trail in New Zealand. And, of course, we share the CCR and empty the in-tray!

Welcome back, Olly! It’s great to have the band back together. After news from our hosts’ recent adventures – Mel at Kangaroo Island and Olly at Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens – we hear from Sarah at Presint 18, Putrajaya. There's lots of mail, news of Christmas in July, and Rachel demistifies some more clubs. Plus, tune in to hear Olly’s reaction to our costume plans...

Sarah is back for another week and she shares her adventures as an RD. Did she do her homework? Mel recaps her Maroondah Dam adventure and looks forward to a month long festival. There’s big news in the worlds of men who run fast and men who run for crazy amounts of time and an extra exciting roving report from TOC at Bushy. Sarah Jefferson joins Mel this week for a pod with a Western flavour. Mel visited Narooma Westlands while Sarah led the troops at Cottesloe. We discuss speed week at Sandgate and the World Record attempt at City2Surf. We hear from PK at Parkindula Reserve parkrun and TOC at Malahide Castle junior parkrun, as well as Rachel about streaking. Mel and Sarah discuss a new V-P index and Sarah laments the co-host curse.

It’s a Dutch flavoured podcast this week with TOCCY from Inverloccy bringing us all the action from The Netherlands at Zuiderpark and Kagerzoom parkruns. Back at home, Mel headed west to Anstey Hill Recreation parkrun and Olly headed north to Centennial parkrun – but they didn’t leave Australia ☹ Meanwhile, the Swather Wars continue …

It’s a very newsy pod this week. Mel took her press pass to the new Dixon Field parkrun and Chanel 5 news crew reports hit the presses from all over. Our international reporter, TOC, checked in from Donaupark parkrun in Austria. PK was on a Windex-hunt at Narooma Wetlands. And Lyndell was investigating mysteries at Robelle Domain. We also have a swather of emails, interstate updates from the west side, and a ‘soldier’s five’ from the Office Lady.

This week, we embrace the spirit of carpe diem and advocate for a promising new word that has been tattooed in our minds.... Mel shares her adventure to Tallangatta parkrun, where she wasn’t solo, while we also hear of parkrun voyages to Caffarella, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and Wolford Wood. Even Myrtle the Turtle is Cha Cha Cha’ing around on parkrunday this week!

This week, Mel, who went on an adventure to Sandon Point parkrun, is joined by Simon, who loves a chat about all things Coronation! As we continue to play catch up with the backlog of roving reports, we hear from Lyndell at Naracoorte Lake, Alison at Ekebergsletta, and PK at Edithburgh. Olly will definitely be disappointed he missed it as we hear from Rachel with a special Eurovision club corner. And you’ll have to let us know what you think about Mel's fishing trip …

Mel & Olly are back at Level 2 and resume normal programming, with Mel giving us a recap of her WA trip. We catch up on some roving reports from previous weeks, with Lyndell checking in from Western Springs parkrun, NZ and Cam dashing in from Claisebrook Cove parkrun. We also get to here a more recent report, with Sarah marvelling at the beauty of Margaret River parkrun. Plus, we have emails from the travelling Jacksons and a run down of all of our favourite palm23 things, wrapped up in a whole lot of laughter.

The parkrun adventurers enjoyed their 6th annual listener meetup in Perth W.A. The live recording was successfully captured and features an interview with University of Western Australia parkrun EDs Cameron Storey and Rodney Glossop, the palm23 Madness Quiz plus Ch5 News Crew Official Press Pass presentations.

This week, Mel was camouflaged and Olly was where he (almost) always is. We apologise for the late (not April Fools related) release, as excitement mounts for palm23. There’s Dazza’s, CCR stats, and a really riveting Rachel rundown.

This week, Mel travelled to North Sydney parkrun for Medibank’s Lounge event, while Olly was ‘you know where’ guiding a well known Bailey shot to her RD debut. Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet, Johan was busy at the South African conference, speaking to parkrun CEO, Russ Jefferys, amongst others. Plus, the Birthday Boy returns to give us the low down on what to look forward to in April.

This week, parkruns far and wide celebrated International Womens Day. We think that’s pretty cool – but even cooler is a huge (not)parkrun milestone and an even bigger bucket list adventure! Mel was riding high at Jerrabomberra Mountain Reserve parkrun, while our roving reporters dropped in from Jurien Bay, Sirromet and Grey Goose parkruns. Rachel is stuck on repeat, we have more Big Things and the Quizmaster drops us a lasso…er line!

It's a bumper episode of interviews and reports this week. Mel catches up with John Lindsell at Kawana parkrun and Lyndell is on the ground at Kedron parkrun, chatting to the man of the moment, Michael Schultz. We’ve got roving reports from Brightwater and Newcastle Park parkruns and Rachel discusses the Pioneers challenge, but there’s a lot less of Mel and Olly than you might be accustomed to. Unless you want Olly singing? Then you’re in luck.

This week the adventures come from our roving reports, with Lyndell at Railway Park and PK visiting Stebonheath, sharing one of the best possible reasons to go to parkrun. We consider a whole host of additional candidates for the proposed Big Things ‘Adventurers at Large’ challenge, and we mix it with the stars at Dazza’s.

Tracey in a TuTu is horsing around at Centennial parkrun and we hear from a new voice out at Garvey Park parkrun. It’s a summer holiday edition of the pod this week with Mel back in South Australia adventuring to Goolwa parkrun and Thorndon junior parkrun. Olly donned the RD vest, welcoming adventurers from afar, while Tracey sent us a roving report from Scribbly Gums Conservation parkrun. We had lots of newcomers at Dazzas, the Obi has gone to an old favourite, and there’s a new boy in town … a birthday boy!

This week, while Olly was playing removalist, Mel decided to breakout and head north to Cowra parkrun. We have roving reports from Perry Hall parkrun, UK, Living Colour parkrun, Sth Africa and Osbourn Metropark parkrun, USA plus Rachel is back with more Club Corner. While all goes to plan at Dazza’s, there is controversy in the Consolidated Club Report, with a shock frond result leading to a bit of a soapbox moment.

Mel & Olly have returned and one of them had adventures. Can you guess which one? The Chanel 5 News Crew were out and about over the break with PK at Lochiel and Alison at Warwick Racecourse parkruns on Christmas Eve, and TOC popped in ‘on the run’ at Torrens parkrun on New Years Day. There’s a new segment to enjoy. Surprise! Dazza’s returns with an added bonus, and the time capsule has been refilled and stuffed back into the cupboard.

While Mel and Olly enjoy a well-earned break, the Office Lady drops in to bring you a summer lite version of the pod. She shares week 1 details of the 14 parkruns in 14 days road trip she and Luke are currently on, tells us some interesting stats from the festive season, and delves into the Dazza’s content. And we hear from a whole bunch of the news crew who share their 2023 parkrun goals.

It’s the office Christmas party and there’s merriment a plenty! In our final show for the year we hear from Sarah at Dawesville parkrun while Mark catches up with Lyndell at Mount Ainslie parkrun. We hear from Tracey at Surfers Paradise parkrun and Alison is back with a report from Hamilton Park parkrun in NZ. Dazza’s has an all abilities theme, the Obi envelope turns up somewhere rather pretty, and we’ve all moved on from kick-yay.

It was Ladies Day in the Channel 5 News Crew with Tracey in a rainbow tutu at Albert Melbourne parkrun and Lyndell the Legendary at Mudjimba Beach parkrun. Meanwhile the Obi envelope turns up somewhere unexpected.

Join us this week as we celebrate achievements and lament mishaps. Sarah from the West side pops in from Whitford nodes parkrun, while Tracy in a Tutu chases down her NENDY at Robell Domain. The office lady is back in the comfy chair playing ‘who am I?’ as Mel & Olly debate Dr Suess and whatever is a snood? “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own, and you know what you know. And you are the guy who'll decide where to go.”

This week we hear about a pair of 5’s – 2 new parkruns holding only their fifth event – as Mel shares with us her visit to Nolen's Park parkrun and Alison reports in from Broad Park parkrun. We hear a lot of cheer at Dazza’s, and welcome a special guest to award the Obi this week!

Mel & Olly return this week with tales from Bathurst parkrun and the Mount Panorama Punish, plus their recap from last weekend’s Halloween fun from their home parkruns. We hear from Phil and Gemma Gore on how to go from 5km to a backyard ultra (how far can he go?) and we have a special interview from Johan with Bruce & Gill Fordyce. This week, in honour of episode 300, both your hosts were touristing! Olly was testing his legs at Willoughby parkrun, while Mel ventured back to Pucka and grabbed a 1st female position. A new Australian male record was set, PSH hit a big milestone, and Tracey met up with the Quizmaster (amongst others) at Fodder Forest parkrun. There’s also mail, Dazza’s, the Informant, and a new Obi recipient. Thanks to everyone who has come along on the journey to 300.
