With the advent of Dawntrail (the new expansion) on the horizon, and the current post patch cycle winding down, we thought it would be a nice time to talk about one of the new things Endwalker (the current expansion) introduced into Final Fantasy XIV: The Variant and the Criterion Dungeons. These are brand new types of battle-style content that kind does their own thing, and they’re pretty dang fun! And you can get cool stuff for doing them! I dunno if you have heard, but there is a brand-new Blu-ray release of Gunbuster from Discotek. It’s out there! It’s great! And one of the great things about it, is that it features an excellent all new English dub. And the lead Noriko was portrayed as Kiane Chula King. You know the saying, "Anything can happen on Halloween?" And sure, they may follow that up with things like, "Your dog can turn into a cat!" Huh! So, this was supposed to have released for Patrons over at our Patreon when the Carbuncle Chronicle came out. But uh... Basil didn't realize he had the audio. Then, a bunch of us got covid, and then Anna had to have surgery! And while she is doing great now, recovering from surgery took much longer than anticipated. So it's 2021 and supposedly things are returning to some semblance of, what some may call, normal. However, as it turns out, normal is still a ways away.
