Nischelle Turner is an Emmy Award-winning correspondent and weekend co-host for four-time Emmy Award-winning show ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT. Turner and JONES.SHOW's Randall Kenneth Jones share a hometown (Columbia, MO), a high school (Rock Bridge), a college (University of Missouri), and numerous "midwestern values." Turner is an award-winning journalist and a contributor for CNN where she is featured in entertainment segments on "CNN Newsroom," "New Day," "CNN Tonight" and more. Turner often lends her voice to entertainment and political news of the day, along with joining their coverage on the Grammys, Golden Globes and Oscars. Turner began her journalism career in 1998 when she joined WEHT as a reporter and fill-in anchor in Evansville, Ind. In 2000, Turner was a weekday reporter and weekend anchor for WVUE-TV FOX8 in New Orleans. After establishing a presence in news, Turner joined KTTV in Los Angeles in 2004 as a reporter on "Good Day LA" and anchor for "Good Day LA Weekend." She returned to New Orleans a few months after leaving to cover Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath for "Good Day LA." Her coverage of the disaster won several journalism awards. As an avid sports fan, Turner's passion and knowledge came in handy when she joined "Fox NFL Sunday" as a sideline reporter for national football broadcasts in 2007. In addition to covering football, Major League Baseball and basketball for Fox, Turner became a host for "Extra on Essence" in 2009, an online entertainment show focusing on Hollywood's most elite stars. Turner also has served as a freelance reporter and host for KNBC. In addition to appearing as an entertainment news expert for CNN and HLN's "Michaela," "The Dr. Drew Show" and "The Daily Share," Turner was featured in multiple episodes of "The Young and the Restless." Michael Stephen Lolich (born September 12, 1940) is an American former professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball as a pitcher from 1962 until 1979, most notably for the Detroit Tigers. A three-time All-Star, Lolich is most notable for his performance in the 1968 World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals when he earned three complete-game victories, including a win over Bob Gibson in the climactic Game 7. In a 16-year major league career, Lolich played in 586 games, accumulating a 217–191 win–loss record along with a 3.44 earned run average. He struck out 200 or more batters in a season seven times in his career. His 2,832 career strikeouts were the most by a left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball history until he was surpassed by Steve Carlton in 1981 and, he held the American League record for strikeouts by a left-handed pitcher until being surpassed by CC Sabathia in 2017. Lolich threw 41 shutouts and 195 complete games during his career, completing nearly 40 percent of his starts. Vanna White quickly became a household name when she was named Co-Host of "Wheel of Fortune" in 1982. Botham Shem Jean was a 26-year-old Saint Lucian, a Harding University graduate, and a Risk Assurance Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Dallas, Texas. On September 6, 2018, Botham's life was cut short when he was shot and killed by a neighbor—off-duty Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger—who maintained she entered his apartment believing it to be hers. She said she mistook Botham for a burglar. On October 2, 2019, Guyger was convicted of murder in a Dallas courtroom and sentenced to 10 years in prison. She will first be eligible for parole in five years. On this episode, Botham's mother, Allison Jean, speaks from the heart about her son, his life, his spirit, and his enduring legacy. Allison is the CEO of the National Utilities Regulatory Commission and lives in St. Lucia with her husband, Bertram. She also sits on the board of The Botham Jean Foundation. Tanya Acker serves as one of three judges on CBS Television Distribution's syndicated court hit HOT BENCH, created by Judge Judy Sheindlin. The program returned for its sixth season on September 9, 2019. During the 2018-2019 season, HOT BENCH was the #3 first-run program in daytime television, delivering 3.1 million daily viewers. Acker is also host of "The Tanya Acker Show" podcast. After graduating from Yale, Acker served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Dorothy Wright Nelson on the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. After her clerkship, the Office of the Solicitor General in the U.S. Department of Justice awarded Acker a Bristow Fellowship. While working as a Bristow Fellow, Acker drafted Supreme Court briefs and helped prepare the Solicitor General for oral argument before the High Court. Among the cases on which Acker worked was Clinton v Jones, where she assisted both the Solicitor General and President Clinton's personal attorneys in preparing for oral argument. In private practice, Acker's legal work spanned a broad variety of matters, from civil litigation involving public and private entities, to various constitutional cases, to providing constitutional cases, to the provision of business counseling and advice. Acker received her B.A. degree at Howard University in 1992, where she graduated summa cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Angelina Spencer-Crisp is the CEO of Empowerment Enterprises, Inc. a Washington D.C. based consulting firm that works with military, governmental, and nonprofit entities, including special federal agents at the Dept. of Homeland Security Investigations on national security policy and programs. Her advocacy against human trafficking was featured in Homeland Security's Federal Blue Campaign Newsletter on Capitol Hill in 2011 and she was a 2015 Homeland Security Director's Service Award Nominee, meeting the mandates of the White House and Congress, in the battle against human trafficking. She co-founded a COAST program that teaches strip club workers how to recognize and report potential victims to federal, state or local law enforcement. Her work has taken her to Mexico, Europe, Central America and Moscow. She is currently working with a private VA based national security firm and the DHS Directorate of Science & Technology on an anti-human trafficking foundational effort to better allocate federal resources toward direct services for human trafficking victims. Angelina graduated summa cum laude from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio. Chuck Sidlow is a professional comic, comedian, clown, entertainer, producer, director, announcer, master of ceremonies and consultant. Originally from Philadelphia, Chuck Sidlow began developing his distinctive talents at Atlantic City's famous Steel Pier. Sidlow further honed his skills as a student at Clown College, where he was among the select few to receive a performance contract with Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. He ultimately earned the responsibility for supervising the entire roster of clowns when he became "The Youngest Boss Clown" in the history of The Greatest Show on Earth. His affiliation with Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey as a performer, manager, ambassador and teacher at the Clown College took him around the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Japan. Born January 26, 1936, in Brooklyn, New York, Silvio "Sal" Buscema is one of comic books' most prolific artists, having penciled all of Marvel's major super-hero characters and teams including Spider-man, Captain America, the Hulk, Daredevil, Thor, Iron Man, The Avengers, The Defenders and the Fantastic Four. In 1968 Sal joined Marvel Comics where his first job was inking the Silver Surfer #4, penciled by his brother, John Buscema. Sal holds the record for the longest run as a penciler on a comic book for his work on "Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-man." He penciled 18 of the first 20 issues of the title and returned to pencil the book from 1988 through 1996 (Issues #134 - #238). Married to the lovely Joan since 1960, he is the proud father of Joe, Tony and Mike. At 83, Sal is not retired and has no immediate plans to do so. Born October 1, 1925, Paul Phillips was raised in a series of foster homes in New York. At age 17, he joined the Coast Guard during World War II. Two years later, he landed on the Great White Way, his heart set on a career as an actor. In relatively short order, Phillips developed an unexpected friendship with renowned actress Gertrude Lawrence. It was Lawrence who first suggested he make the career move from actor to stage management. Paul's remarkable credits include the original Broadway productions of "Fiorello!," "Sweet Charity," "Mame," "Pippin," "Chicago," and "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas." Essentially, Paul Phillips spent his career protecting the integrity of some of the greatest American products of all time. In addition to Lawrence, Philips worked alongside Judy Garland, Tallulah Bankhead, Angela Lansbury, Beatrice Lillie, Ann Miller, Chita Rivera and, his dear friend, confidant and "soulmate," Gwen Verdon. Gwen Verdon starred in the original Broadway productions of "Damn Yankees," "Sweet Charity," "Chicago" and more. A critically acclaimed Broadway performer in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, Gwen was the recipient of four Tony Awards. She is also strongly identified with her second husband, director/choreographer Bob Fosse. Their relationship is the subject of FX Networks' "Fosse/Verdon" with Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams. One of Hollywood's staple of child actors during the 30s and 40s, Mickey Kuhn appeared alongside many top Hollywood stars including John Wayne, Vivien Leigh, Clark Gable, Jimmy Stewart and many more. Born in 1932, Mickey began to add to the family income at age 2 when, by chance, he was cast by Fox Studios for the movie "Change of Heart" (1934) starring the preeminent movie couple at the time, Janet Gaynor and Charles Farrell. In 1939, Mickey appeared as Crown Prince Augustin in "Juarez" starring Bette Davis and, most notably, as Olivia de Havilland and Leslie Howard's son Beau in "Gone with the Wind." "One-Take Mickey" proved quite dependable and was actively involved in several prestigious pictures during the 1940s and 50s including "One Foot in Heaven" (1941), "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" (1945), "Red River" (1948), "Broken Arrow" (1950) and "A Streetcar Named Desire" (1951). After a four-year term of duty, he returned to films and TV in 1955 and attended L.A. Valley College and Cal State Northridge on his G.I. Bill and majored in Theater Arts. As a young man, Mickey chose to leave the motion picture industry. He was hired by American Airlines in 1967 and subsequently served as a supervisor to flight attendants. He later became an administrative manager at a Boston airport and retired from the airlines in 1995. He received the Golden Boot Award for his work in westerns in 2005. Julia Landauer is a NASCAR driver and two-time champion from New York City. She has amassed dozens of wins in many different racing series. After becoming the first woman to win a NASCAR Track Championship at Motor Mile Speedway in her division in 2015, Julia graduated to the televised NASCAR K&N Pro Series West in 2016. She finished 4th in the championship, becoming the highest finishing female in the series' 64-year history. Though retired CBS News correspondent Bob Orr dreamed of being the play-by-play announcer for the Pittsburgh Pirates, he began his television news career in 1973 at WTRF-TV in his hometown, Wheeling, West Virginia. Bob joined CBS News in July 1993, where he remained until his retirement in February 2015. Bob primarily focused on two beats. From 1994 to 2006, he was the Transportation Correspondent, covering safety and security issues. After 9/11, though he retained the Transportation Correspondent title, Bob began focusing on security and counterterrorism. When the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was established, he formally added DHS to his coverage responsibilities. In November 2006, Bob took over the Justice beat as the CBS News Justice and Homeland Security Correspondent where he was the lead correspondent covering domestic and international terrorism as well as U.S. law enforcement issues. For over two decades, Bob had a front-row seat to just about every international event.
