U40: OU President Harroz joins us as we podcast from the North Oval tailgate

It was a big day at the University of Oklahoma as the university unveiled their new tailgating initiative at the North Oval. SoonerScoop was invited to see it for ourselves and to record a podcast for the fans in attendance. OU President Joe Harroz dropped by and discussed the new tailgating area and we got to chat about the search for a new athletic director, Brent Venables giving up $1 million for revenue sharing/NIL, the west side stadium expansion and what is the deal with this Randall Stephenson guy? We also made Gabe Ikard sit down and talk about his impressions of the new tailgating area and we talked a little bit of football as well. The Oklahoma Breakdown co-host also talked with Carey about maybe doing a crossover episode in the North Oval for the Michigan game. Anyone interested? George and Carey are back together! We edited this down and left out a lot of the Illinois State commentary but you will get our thoughts on Jackson Arnold's first game at Auburn last night. THE FULL RUNDOWN FOLLOWS BELOW: 0:00 - Welcome to the brand new North Oval tailgating scene. U40: What is Ben Arbuckle's playcalling going to look like

It's game week and all the media duties are over. We've talked to Brent Venables, Ben Arbuckle and all the team captains for Team 131. We don't know exactly what this is going to look like Saturday but we're interested to see how it goes down. Depth Charts? We're not too caught up in who is sitting where. There are reasons. We talk about some of that. We also talk about Ben Arbuckle's debut. Will he go through some of the same issues that guy out west went through early in his Oklahoma playcalling career? And what type of year could this be for Kendal Daniels? Could he be the one player whose NFL stock raises the highest on this team after a good season. Lots to discuss as we are officially in game week! Also find out if George ever came back to the pod. THE FULL RUNDOWN FOLLOWS BELOW: 0:00 - Welcome back to the Unofficial 40! U40: Al Eschbach drops by unannounced so we made him pod with us

It started out like just another Unofficial 40 podcast in studio. And then after 30 minutes, Al Eschbach just decided to drop by the studios unannounced. So we did what we always do when people come into the studio during a pod. We put him on the air and talked some OU football and the future of OU's offense along with the future of Brent Venables. What is going on in Auburn with their offense and Jackson Arnold? We of course get into some recruiting with Josh McCuistion, but we're still a little bit in awe of The Legend, Al Eschbach coming on the pod with us for the first time. We even hit on the state of media, Al's vacations and how much longer he's going to keep doing this radio stuff. 0:00 - Welcome back to the Unofficial 40! OU kicks the season off in 10 days! Rejoice. U40: We look at key positions at this point in fall camp

Bill Bedenbaugh spoke this week about his offensive line and Carey, Josh, Eddie and George are here to give it all a hard look. Bedenbaugh has to find the right mix of experience versus talent on the offensive line if he wants to play two star freshman. We examine all the options and give our two cents on what we could see happening. The secondary also intrigues us with the talent and the buzz coming out of camp surrounding corners who haven't played a lot. And Peyton Bowen isn't a bust. He's just been hurt most of his career. Are we going to see Bowen step up at some point and take over with Billy Bowman type play in the secondary? We are ready for the John Mateer Venmo controversy to be over and we think that it is. And stop yelling at us for writing about it! It's our job! And the wide receiver spot might be a little concerning as far as quality depth now that we look at it closer. And of course we talk more recruiting with Josh and how big the official weekend will become for the Michigan game. THE FULL BREAKDOWN FOLLOWS BELOW: 0:00 - Welcome back to the Unofficial 40! Week three of the preseason includes a little drama! Sooners offensive line at the very least has good options 21:00 - That John Mateer. U40: Tons of camp access and stuff to talk about before the opener

It's been a great preseason for the Scoop crew to get out and watch portions of practice thanks to Brent Venables' media friendliness this August. Carey and Josh get to weigh in on what they've been seeing and hearing from fall camp as we break down the standouts, the injured and maybe some disappointments so far. Josh updates us on the recruiting trail and whether OU fans should be worried about Jake Kreul moving up his commitment date. We also look at what's left for OU in recruiting. While we also get breaking news about a first commitment for 2027 as the pod is recording. A little bit of talk about OU hiring the Athlete Group to help with the Athletic Director search as well. 0:00 - Welcome back to the Unofficial 40! Week Two of the preseason. George’s family expands 8:00 - Plenty of team talk ahead but what’s up with OU recruiting … why so quiet? Jake Kreul? U40: Trying to crack the code on how this season will go

The gang is finally back together after honeymoons, flight delays and the start of fall/preseason camp. We just had a media gathering with 7 players, Brent Venables and Ben Arbuckle. What did we take from the preseason get together? First off, we're shocked by how big Jaydn Ott actually is as a running back. We pine over him for a bit during the show. We're also not going into a doom pod, but we're questioning as much as possible about the makeup of this team heading into the season. How big is this year? It's as big as it gets for the future direction of the program. We try and work our way through various positions and how we see things playing out this season. From the offensive line to the secondary we have plenty of questions. It's a full on preseason think tank going on in this episode. THE FULL RUNDOWN FOLLOWS BELOW: 0:00 - Welcome back to the Unofficial 40! Sooners are back on the practice field! 22:48 - Jaydn Ott certainly looks the part 30:00 - Happy thoughts on a dominant OU defensive line 38:00 - Recruiting 55:00 - Back around to the magnitude of the 2025 season Learn more about your ad choices. U40: Breaking down what we learned from SEC Media Days

Brace yourselves Sooner fans. There is a member of the Scoop crew who is high on the hopium after SEC Media Days. We take a look back at what we learned from OU's trip to Atlanta for talking season. And we learned that a lot of national media is high on the Sooners heading into 2025. Granted, hearts have been broken around here and we're coming off one of the worst seasons in recent OU history. But are the national people seeing something we're just not allowing ourselves to see? John Mateer was definitely one of the biggest stars in Atlanta. We've catch up on recruiting with Josh and find out what's left the rest of the way. Is OU trying to crack open some opportunities with players already looking elsewhere? It's just a massive edition of the Unofficial 40 with plenty of talk throughout about the upcoming season. THE FULL RUNDOWN FOLLOWS BELOW: 0:00 - Welcome back to the U40! U40: Things are changing inside the OU athletics department

Carey, Eddie and George reconvene after a long week of surprises and press conferences. And we're diving head first into what we feel is going to happen inside the OU athletics department. Football is a beast of it's own, but there were a lot of other coaches at Joe Castiglione's retirement press conference that are left wondering where they stand in the new world order without Castiglione at the helm. We talk about the power structure of OU's athletics department moving forward. What does OU need that they don't have? Do they know what they need? Or is that for the next AD to decide. And where with this new AD come from? Intercollegiate athletics, or from the outside world, like business or marketing? THE FULL RUNDOWN FOLLOWS BELOW: 0:00 - Welcome back to the U40! A big takeaway from George's upcoming John Mateer series

We're back for another episode as the Thunder euphoria has died down. You're welcome Mavs fans who also listen. It's July so we're hanging on and hoping for a quick return of football. Today we caught up with George on his visit with John Mateer as he's ready to run an extensive series on OU's QB after talking to Mateer, family members, former coaches, analysts, everybody. We're not giving away anything, but we have seen the nearly hour long transcript and George has previewed some of the quotes for us. And we have one big takeaway about John Mateer. We also hit the recruiting trail and give our thoughts on some of the OSU wins over OU on the recruiting trail. And we also ask Josh to look back on his biggest impression about summer camps and offers. Are the Sooners being too aggressive? Or not aggressive enough? U40: Did a red hot John Mateer help land Bowe Bentley?

It may not have been something that was aesthetically pleasing to us, but the Jaden O' Neal/Bowe Bentley worked out as we believe Ben Arbuckle wanted. We are left to wonder, how much did John Mateer play a role in swinging Bentley to OU over LSU? A Fong Bomb that caught everyone's attention. We finally make Eddie happy and get into the Thunder parade discussion as Carey, Eddie and George all were in OKC for the big event. We're also looking at the wide receiver position in 2026 and how it could all play out. And a little more conversation about how things are going in the front office with Jim Nagy & Co. THE FULL RUNDOWN FOLLOWS BELOW: 0:00 - Welcome back to the U40! Thunder won the World Championship. Big deal. U40: Bowe Bentley at Elite 11, OU loses OL commit

Carey is trying to jinx the Thunder right from the start this week. But we quickly get into the news of the day for recruiting. And that is the decommitment of Will Conroy who flips to North Carolina. We also talk some Elite 11 and what performing well at the Elite 11 has meant over the years. Spoiler, it sometimes means nothing, sometimes it does. Josh talks about the upcoming BBQ recruiting weekend and we're trying to let you know we're not the ones pumping out all the John Mateer hype. We've barely reached peak offseason so that means time to talk OU's schedule. Also some baseball, some hoops and some softball. 0:00 - Welcome back to the U40! U40: Stickball is somehow over. Time for summer camp season

It's almost impossible to believe. The OU softball season and baseball season have come to an end. Really within hours of each other. But that doesn't mean it wasn't a productive year for the softball team and this team took an entirely new roster back to the WCWS and was just a run away from being back in the championship series. Baseball might have had some more issues. And they didn't make it past the regional round. We discuss what's next for both. We're fired up for the Thunder being in the NBA Finals, so forgive us a little Finals matchup talk. And Josh is heading back to Oklahoma for another big summer camp tomorrow. Oh yeah, Bowe Bentley is visiting this weekend as well and then we have another huge week of summer camps after that one. THE FULL RUNDOWN FOLLOWS BELOW: 0:00 - Welcome back to the U40! It's the upside down world on the Unofficial 40 as Josh McCuistion is here in studio during his Oklahoma spring football tour and George Stoia is in Florida at the SEC Meetings. U40: Making it through May and getting ready for high school tour

It's May and we're struggling. Welcome to probably the most random podcast we've done in a while. George is back from wedding vacation, baseball and softball are in full swing and recruiting is getting ready to take the stage as Josh heads to Oklahoma next week for a full tour of the best talent in the Sooner state. The Sooners are actually in the running for a legitimate high school tight end and they've made a new offer to a 2026 running back. We've got some football talk regarding impact players for 2025, but we've also got the latest on how to make more money because George thinks we're leaving a lot of money on the table. A Scooper has also trolled both Carey and Josh by purchasing certain things on his wedding registry. Yes. It's a weird pod. Embrace the awkwardness. U40: Sooners pick up first defender for 2026. Looking at 2025 offense

Recruiting is officially heating up after Oklahoma football picked up a commitment from Niko Jandreau, a safety from Chandler, Arizona. It's an exciting pickup because he also has another brother who is also highly regarded. Josh McCuistion is here to breakdown the latest on the recruiting trail as he and Carey are getting ready to go see Bowe Bentley this week. Big visits are also being lined up for summer camp. We also examine the OU offense and get into how we see this offensive line developing early in the 2025 season. And somehow we go down the rabbit hole of how awful last season's offense was. It's the offseason. Officially. George will also be living in Destin, Florida, the rest of this month for weddings and SEC meetings. And we won't have to listen to his panic in the office over the Thunder, who are doing just fine after a big win over Denver last night. U40: Why is recruiting so quiet?

It's a stressful time in the office as the Thunder are down 0-1 and George's marriage may be riding on the outcome of tonight's game. We talk with Josh about what the commitment of Jared Curtis to Georgia means for OU's QB recruiting saga. Coaches are out on the road and making new offers all over the place. Are Jim Nagy and the OU personnel department looking to reshape this roster with different types of athletes? And what is up with the snails pace of recruiting commitments so far this offseason? We also welcome Eddie back from Mexico as he was stranded at a beautiful resort when he got the big On3 news last week. Carey also hates everything on George's wedding registry and wants to go off catalog to get a wedding gift. Go-carts are also potentially disastrous for a bachelor party. U40: Arbuckle should be allowed to pick his own QB

George was under the weather today so we had an OG podcast with Carey, Josh and Eddie. It's been a busy week so we kind of used this podcast to clean up our thoughts on everything that's been going on lately. David Stone and the QB decision. Why shouldn't Ben Arbuckle be able to make his own choice at who he wants his QB to be? We also talked plenty of portal and looked ahead to where the Sooners could go next. The defensive line is a real strength that we probably haven't talked about enough. And coaches are all over the country visiting some of the top prospects on their board. Some reminiscing, so old school podcasting, the original crew is back together and remind you of the greatness that was the start of the Unofficial 40. U40: The portal is being good to Oklahoma

With the announcement that Jake Maikkalu and Jaydn Ott signed with Oklahoma football the day before the portal officially opened, OU made a big statement that they are willing to do what it takes to get back on track. We talk about what the signings mean for the Sooners as well as what the portal still could hold in store. We also dive into where we are as a sport right now with Nico Iamaleava and why we feel better about OU's approach with Jim Nagy in this age of chasing the bag. Josh recaps the Houston Under Armour and we talk about Ben Arbuckle's 2007 quarterback and how far along he is in that process as well as where the Sooners stand with one of their top 2006 recruiting prospects. High School spring football gets set to start at a lot of schools in Texas. The baseball team got a big run rule over Oklahoma State last night and today is the day that Aalyah Chavez can officially sign with the Sooners. U40: The height of spring arrives with the Crimson... Combine???

The Unofficial 40 is back and we're ready for another magical time of the year as OU puts on their spring finale, the Masters is underway and we're on the verge of recruiting awesomeness with high school spring football and summer camps. But we've also had some interesting developments in the NIL space with the House vs. NCAA settlement being in the spotlight on Monday. What comes out of that? And does that bring us any closer to settling the mess that is NIL? Meanwhile, hoops is paying out some real money and landing big players in the portal. And we talk about the Crimson Combine. What might it look like? Is it worth attending? Here's a hint, we don't know, but what else are you gonna do with your $10 on a Saturday with perfect weather. U40: Biggest positives taken away from 4 football viewings

The gang is back in the studio together on the heels of another football practice viewing. The linebacker group appears to be stacking some depth at the position even with the losses of Danny Stutsman to the NFL and Jaren Kanak to tight end. That's because Sammy Omosigho appears to be transitioning to the MIKE linebacker spot quite well. And players continually rave about Kendal Daniels being on campus. Jennie Baranczyk also pulled off one of the biggest commitments in OU women's basketball history when Aaliyah Chavez, the nation's No. 1 player, committed to OU yesterday. U40: Breaking down everything we've seen and heard about spring practices

Spring practices are in full spring as we've now had two viewing sessions and a Pro Day to take in since last week. Carey, Josh, Eddie and George breakdown what they've witnessed out on the practice fields and what they've been hearing behind the scenes. We go over the newcomers that have stood out, the players fans want to see more of that have been on campus, like Davon Mitchell, and basically cover our impressions from every position group up to this point. Some players we thought were injured or limited are getting more action than we expected. We dive deep into what we're seeing from the offensive line and talk about what the starting lineup could look like coming out of spring. It's better to just dive into the podcast and hear for yourself. Josh updates with some recruiting updates and the guys were really impressed seeing Zane Row out at practice Monday. Kid is getting bigger and bigger every time we see him. We also talk about Trace Ford's impressive day out at Pro Day. U40: OU football's General Manager is probably a little bit different than most

Oklahoma football introduced Jim Nagy as Oklahoma's new General Manager. And Carey says there is way more to OU's vision than most college programs right now. We talk about our impressions of Nagy's approach and what he had to say yesterday. Brent Venables also spoke to the media for the first time since the Armed Forces Bowl. He dropped some injury news and we have plenty to say about that as well. John Mateer took to the podium and his comments gave people a first look at who he really is. So who is he? Brent's explanation about cancelling the spring game did make a lot of sense. But some of us still think it would have been smarter to put together some type of game for the good of OU's pocket books, especially with OU needing as much money as possible for revenue sharing and NIL. Josh updates us on the latest in recruiting and with Future Freaks coming up. Also, can Porter Moser save his job? What does it mean if the men's basketball team makes the NCAA Tournament? Could he still be fired? Should he? We break down everything spring in this edition of the Unofficial 40. THE FULL RUNDOWN FOLLOWS BELOW: 0:00 - Welcome back to the U40! Spring football has begun. Carey, Josh, Eddie and George are here to breakdown the hire and what happens next. Fans have reason for excitement as this is one of the biggest and flashiest hires in college football this offseason. How do Nagy and Brent Venables and Joe Castiglione work together? Will there be any issues to work through regarding personnel, recruiting, scouting, NIL, etc.? And what are we hearing about how Nagy fits into the athletic department? The ice has cleared from the roads and we were finally back in the studio for a marathon edition of the Unofficial 40. The SEC and Big Ten are trying to take control of the College Football Playoff. Are we OK with that? The baseball team is off to a strong start. But we are looking forward to seeing more. U40: Who is on the hottest seat in the athletic department

The guys gather back after a freeze took over OKC on Wednesday and we're airing grievances. Men's basketball is falling off a cliff once again, so where do things stand with Porter Moser? And with that said, where do things stand with Joe Castiglione. With Brent Venables coaching for his job in 2025, how far behind is Castiglone? The guys discuss where everything currently stands in the athletic department. We're also breaking down what has gone wrong with the OU basketball program. How much has a lack of NIL hurt OU hoops? U40: Could the OU spring football game disappear?

With just one more football game left, we're about to officially hit the offseason. But the Thunder are getting back Chet Holmgren Friday night! In other OU news, signing day has come and gone and we wonder how coaches and front offices will co-exist in the recruiting game. OU fans were criticized by the SEC announcers during the OU-Auburn basketball game and it sent us down a rabbit hole of exciting OU basketball teams over the years. We also talk about the future of spring football games. George used to cover the NFL and we talk about NFL offseasons vs. college offseasons and how they might start looking more and more similar. There is a framework being worked on by members of the Power 4 conferences to rein in NIL and make things more manageable for colleges. But there is still so much work to be done to make NIL what it was supposed to be. And can it ever really be what it was supposed to be? And happy Superbowl weekend everybody! U40: More from OU's big recruiting weekend, latest on staff hires

The Sooners are hitting the recruiting trail and making a mad dash to make big impressions. And it looks like they are. Coaches are all over the country making visits to homes and high schools. And even though Brent Venables doesn't have an official defensive coordinator, it's not slowing him or his staff down from making good impressions on defensive talent. But the surprise so far is what Ben Arbuckle and the offensive staff have been doing on the recruiting trail. After a very successful junior day, the Sooners picked up a commitment from 4-star WR Daniel Odom. Are they close on another big time pass rusher? We also delve into OU's build of a personnel department with a General Manager. The process is underway. What to expect? We've got that too. We've got some hoops talk and of course some updates on George's wedding. And it appears betrayal is in the air as one key member of the Scoop staff has already said he won't be coming. U40: The future of OU football's front office is being built now

On this episode of the Unofficial 40, we are talking about the changes to Oklahoma football from a General Manager perspective. Chuck Lillie is leaving for a GM role with West Virginia and everyone wants to know what that means. We are diving into OU's plans for the future as the football program will develop a front office structure more similar to the NFL. What that means and who that affects are questions that still need to be answered. But we breakdown what we know and what that means for the future of OU football and college sports in general. With the outflow of players to the portal, we're also starting to get a feel for what the team is going to look like next season. A lot of unanswered questions there too at certain positions. But we feel pretty good about the overall strength of this roster as things stand today. One player we're still waiting on to declare his future is R Mason Thomas. He put out an interesting video today. And Michael Fasusi shined this week during Under Armour practices. Josh tells us what that means moving forward. The changes in this football program are going to make things look a lot different as NIL and front office personnel become a reality. Carey and George breakdown what's happening and why that will affect everything moving forward. And other staff changes coming? We talk about potential changes in the coaching staff and on the faculty side. As things stand, Venables is going to get another year to try and fix this football program. But can it be fixed? It's a massive podcast with so much to cover over the last few days. U40: Examining the vote of confidence for Brent Venables

It's the middle of the week on a bye week. But yesterday's Board of Regents meeting gave us some answers as to where Brent Venables sits and his future. President Joe Harroz and AD Joe Castiglione both went on record lending support to Venables. We talk about the road forward. What happens to the quarterback room? Where we see Oklahoma looking for an offensive coordinator. What would it mean to buy out Venables now? Both financially and program stability. There are a lot of numbers thrown around. But the true cost is much, much higher. We still haven't seen in cracks in the recruiting front and signing day is just a few weeks away. And what does signing day even look like now? Lots to go over in this week's edition of the Unofficial 40. THE FULL RUNDOWN FOLLOWS BELOW: 0:00 - Welcome back to the Unofficial40! Do not. U40: Missouri is biggest game of Brent Venables era

The gang is back and we're all pretty jacked for Oklahoma versus Missouri this weekend in Columbia. The Sooners have become the betting favorite. They have more momentum than they've had all season on offense. The defense is still playing well in a lot of areas and Brent Venables is poised to become bowl eligible. That's not something a lot of people had hope in after South Carolina. Has Jackson Arnold become a new quarterback and come out of his benching with a renewed sense of confidence? Is the OU run game getting to a point where it can help the offense produce explosive plays in the passing game? Is the offensive line any better? Or will we quickly find out not much has changed? And is there help on the way at receiver with Jalil Farooq and Deion Burks? What would a win at Missouri do for recruiting momentum with Alabama coming to town for the final home game of the 2024 season. It's a lot to get through as this roller coaster of a season reaches the top of its biggest peak. THE FULL RUNDOWN FOLLOWS BELOW: 0:00 - Welcome back to the Unofficial40! U40: Fixing the offense is still the gravest of concerns

The entire crew has plenty to break down from the hour long Brent Venables press conference on Tuesday. And with Maine coming to town, it's a perfect week to work on this offense. What have we liked from Joe Jon Finley and Kevin Johns after the Ole Miss game? And how does OU hold things together on the roster and the recruiting trail while Brent Venables makes the OC hire that will determine if he survives as OU's head coach. Have we been surprised or did the move to the SEC just confirm what we thought? Injuries are still ravaging the OU roster but the goal ahead has to be building even more depth. Plenty of people have had their say in Bill Bedenbaugh's future, but Venables defended him quite staunchly yesterday. How do we see his future in Norman? And how much are the Sooners willing to spend on a new OC? Josh gives us an update on the recruiting trail and we also talk a lot about the tight end position and the clamoring to see Davon Mitchell out on the field. U40: Should OU just play the young guys on the OL? The OC search begins

On this episode of the Unofficial 40 we're getting ready for the Sooners to take on Ole Miss. How much hope do Sooner fans have that OU can actually win a tough game this season? Has all hope been lost? We have plenty of opinions on how OU should handle the offensive line situation moving forward. Jacob Jordan was impressive last week. But how bad has some of the OU receiver production been this season? We take a look at some numbers. And those numbers are not fun to look at. How does the administration feel about everything that has transpired? How secure is Brent Venables' job right now? And how much difference can someone like Kevin Johns make with this offense moving forward. Plenty of ups and downs in the season and just as many in this episode as Carey starts to hope again but everyone else is not willing to join him. U40: South Carolina may determine the future of OU's offense

The Sooners are at a crossroads as South Carolina heads to town. The offense is full of mistakes and Brent Venables is finally talking about it. The future of the quarterback position may depend on Michael Hawkins Jr.'s performance against the Gamecocks. How do we see Saturday breaking down for the QBs? Brent Venables held his weekly press conference and Josh and Carey had a chance to weigh in on what was said. It wasn't all bad. The Sooners had a true freshman shine on the defensive side of the ball. And we breakdown the future of the offensive line and what things look like moving forward there. How about injured receivers. What's the latest on their return? Josh gives us a wrap on everything recruiting, including some visitors incoming. THE FULL RUNDOWN FOLLOWS BELOW: 0:00 - Welcome back to the Unofficial40! U40: What has to happen for OU to beat Texas?

It's OU-TX in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. Quinn Ewers expected to return. OU's defense expected to be there. Michael Hawkins Jr., becomes the first true freshman to lead the Sooners into this battle with just six other redshirt freshman doing it before. What weapons will Hawkins have available? Will he have to carry the Sooners on his shoulders? And will Ewers be rusty at all? Can the OU defense continue to hold up? Has Texas played a team like the Sooners? Or are they just a default No. 1 right now? So many questions to be answered. We go over everything we can think to go over. Josh is here to talk about the recruits who should be taking in the game from the stands as well. We also talk about the transfer portal and signing day and how this is all changing right now. And we look over some of the other teams in the SEC and abroad. It's a huge weekend for the Sooners. It's a huge weekend for all of us. Why not get ready with your best friends from the Unofficial 40. We'll help keep you entertained until the butterflies take over just before kickoff. U40: Taking Stock: The tight end room problem. Jackson Arnold's future.

It's a bye week in Norman so on this week's Unofficial 40 we start out talking a little recruiting with Josh McCuistion. Have the Sooners made a mistake not putting together a bigger push for tight end Dakotah Terrell from Pocola? We also breakdown what's going on with the tight end position in recruiting as well as a potential new commit at the linebacker position. With Texas coming up and Michael Hawkins Jr., establishing himself as QB1 coming out of Auburn, how would a big performance against Texas affect the future of Jackson Arnold in Norman. We're going hypothetical. Brent Venables actually answered George's injury questions without wanting to kill him on the SEC teleconference. What we're hearing on the injury front heading into Texas. Texas is off. OU is off. We should have a relatively healthy couple of teams in the Cotton Bowl next week. THE FULL RUNDOWN FOLLOWS BELOW: 0:00 - Welcome back to the Unofficial40!
