Our first WSJM Sports Player of the Week for 2025 is Ly'Nique Cunningham of South Haven girls basketball. Ly'Nique is a sophomore at South Haven high schools where she currently has a 3.76 Grade Point Average. Over the holiday break, the Rams went 2-0, with a 56-31 win at Fennville, then South Haven defeated Gobles, 61-54 in the Bangor Holiday Shootout. In the win against Gobles, Ly'Nique scored an amazing 39 points, along with 8 rebounds, 5 steals, and 2 assists. She was 12 of 19 from the field, 3 for 5 from beyond the arc, and 6 of 7 at the free throw line. She’s averaging over 34 points per game over the Rams first 6 games. Ly'Nique also plays volleyball, softball, and runs track.
