Pilot Swab of Lakeshore wrestling is our WSJM Sports Player of the Week. Pilot is a sophomore at Lakeshore high school and carries a 3.4 grade point average Pilot is the 2025 Division 2 Individual State Champion in the 106 pound weight division.   Pilot went 4-0 over the two day finals at Ford Field in Detroit, winning two matches by pinfall, and two by a decision, including an 8-1 win in the championship match against Tyler Cooper of Plainwell.   Pilot went 45-7 this season.  Pilot also was at the state finals last season where he finished fifth as a freshman.  Pilot is the 28th individual state champion in the history of the Lakeshore wrestling program. Grumps is our adorable big ol' buddy and he is ready for adoption! Grumps is such a good boy and always has his little tail wagging. He absolutely loves treats and will sit patiently and wait for them. Grumps also knows how to shake with both paws. We named him Grumps because of his serious face and he goes into guard dog mode when there's new people, but he's really just a big baby. He would make a great, loving, and fun companion.
