The owner of a security company in Manitoba, Don Woodstock’s business almost tripled in size during the pandemic but he says the level of fear felt by people he encountered was enormous. Sara Martens tells the events surrounding her husband Cork’s vehicle accident and hospital experience following the accident. There were many contradictions between what she was being told by the medical staff and what she was observing while talking with her husband. Martha Voth’s husband Alvin developed breathing problems after contracting COVID in May of 2021. In hospital he was doing well on face mask oxygen but the doctor decided to ventilate him anyway. Alvin recovered from COVID but contracted sepsis infection. Ksenia was a nurse for 15 years with the same company working in a rehabilitation unit. When the patients got their vaccines, she started seeing some trends and concerns among the patient population. In the majority of patients she noticed thrombocytopenia, which is a low platelet count (white blood cell responsible for coagulation). A few had rare blood clots that she had never seen before. Ms. Snow worked in a director- level position for TJX Canada overseeing the Workplace Services Department for their head office in Canada. Ms. Snow worked from home during the pandemic until late 2021. The corporate headquarters (in Boston) started considering vaccine mandates, and started surveying employees.
