In John 17 we read about one of the last prayers Yeshua prayed, and He prayed not only for His disciples, but for us also. In John 11:4 we see the event where a friend of Yeshua, Lazarus, is on his death bed and Yeshua says that His Father will receive honor in what happens. What qualified Yeshua to be able to teach with authority? Under who did He disciple? This is the question that the First-Century religious authority asked Yeshua right after He healed someone in a synagogue on Shabbat, as we find in the book of John chapter 7.Yeshua informs them that He has been discipled of His Father, something they could not understand or accept. In the last episode Rabbi Steve Berkson unpacked more of the nuances of being in covenant by diving into the letter to the Hebrews, the Book of Hebrews. As he continues in Romans chapters 10 and 11, Rabbi Steve Berkson has received some clear insight on a couple of troublesome verses.
