The Anaheim Ducks signed Roger McQueen to an Amateur Tryout Agreement (ATO) with the San Diego Gulls this week. The 10th overall pick by Anaheim in the 2025 NHL Draft joined Alexis Downie to share his excitement for the next step in his hockey career. McQueen also discusses his year of playing college hockey at Providence and what areas his game has developed.

The Anaheim Ducks acquired defenseman John Carlson from the Washington Capitals at this year's trade deadline. Carlson joins Alexis Downie to talk about the quick transition to Anaheim, his strengths on the ice and what he's looking forward to in this new opportunity.

As the Anaheim Ducks get into the busy stretch of the NHL season, Alexis Downie is joined this week by Pierre LeBrun, TSN Insider and Senior NHL Columnist for The Athletic. Ahead of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, Alexis Downie is joined by SoCal native Cayla Barnes, now a 3x Olympian for Team USA and member of the PWHL's Seattle Torrent. Barnes shares her excitement for the upcoming Games and how her previous experiences winning gold ('18) and silver ('22) will help heading into the tournament. Barnes also discusses what packing for an Olympics looks like and playing in Seattle with the new expansion team.

The Anaheim Ducks held their 2025-26 home opener on Tuesday by hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins. Prior to puck drop, Alexis Downie hit the Orange Carpet to chat with Ducks players as they arrived. Mason McTavish (00:31) joined Downie at the beginning, followed by carpet first-timer Beckett Sennecke (2:09). Later on, Jacob Trouba (4:00), Mikael Granlund (5:44) and Troy Terry (7:03) stopped to talk about the experience.

In the final edition of our Anaheim Ducks Media Day interviews, Leo Carlsson, Drew Helleson and Alex Killorn chatted with Alexis Downie at the cornhole boards and putting green. Carlsson (3:04) talks about his summer in Sweden and time at the World Championship. Helleson (9:26) shares more on the end of his offseason and his anticipation for the year. The Anaheim Ducks agreed to terms with Jackson LaCombe on an 8-year, $72 million dollar contract that will begin next season making him the highest paid player in Ducks history with the total dollar amount. LaCombe spoke with Alexis Downie after signing the new deal.

Head Coach Joel Quenneville (14:32) then spoke after his first day on the ice with the team, sharing his excitement to be back with the game. The captain Radko Gudas (27:32) also spoke with the media on the energy of the first day. Strome shares details of a golf trip to Ireland, Kreider sheds light on his emotions with the trade and Trouba recounts his summer back home in New England.

PWHL champion and Minnesota Frost forward Dominique Petrie stopped in the Kariya Studio in this episode to show off her hardware! Petrie spoke with Alexis Downie about her SoCal roots, her journey to professional hockey and what it means to see the growth of the sport in her hometown.

Defenseman Drew Helleson joined Alexis Downie to discuss his 2-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks, growing with the organization and his rookie season. Helleson also chats about his summer back home in Minnesota and what he's looking forward to about this season.

Back in June during the NHL Draft, the Anaheim Ducks worked a trade with the Detroit Red Wings where the team acquired goaltender Petr Mrázek in exchange for goaltender John Gibson. Mrazek joined Alexis Downie in his first chat as a Duck to share what he's looking forward to in being a part of the organization and more on his relationship with Lukáš Dostál and Radko Gudas.

Alexis Downie first caught up with Ducks prospects Beckett Sennecke (2:49) and Stian Solberg (6:13) about their last year of growth since being drafted in 2024. After that, Downie chats with the first six picks by the Ducks including Roger McQueen (13:29), Eric Nilson (19:05), Lasse Boelius (22:19), Noah Read (25:14), Drew Schock (29:06) and Elijah Neuenschwander (33:08) about being drafted and their first experience with camp.

The Anaheim Ducks signed forward Mikael Granlund to a three-year contract on the first day of NHL Free Agency last week. Granlund shared with Alexis Downie why he chose the Ducks, spoke on his relationship with Teemu Selanne and what he's hoping to bring to the team in Orange County.

ESPN Rules Analyst and former NHL referee Dave Jackson joined Alexis Downie this week to talk through his career. Jackson shared his perspective of how officiating has adapted with the changing game of hockey, the community amongst referees and also shared some of his favorite stories. Additionally, Jackson gave a behind-the-scenes look of his day-to-day working with ESPN.
