Filters come in all shapes and sizes ,and people can have very different attitudes regarding them.On one end of the spectrum are people who are in complete denial that they have any filters at all. They are convinced that their perspective is completely objective. On the other end we have people who don't know that they are victims of a false filter.People today are constantly sharing pics, videos, vlogs that are edited or posed in such a way as to make their lives look like the most amazing… most awesome… most perfect life. That’s why we have photo and video editors… camera filters… photoshop… etc… So we can modify our pics… so we can remove any unwanted things, and only show the world what we want people to see… It’s getting harder and harder to tell what is real… and what is fake. Today there are SO many messages out there fighting for your attention and then your allegiance. There is a fire that has been growing in recent years. The modern 'selfie' has established itself as the latest form of self-expression. Is it a harmless fad or a dangerous sign of modern society's growing narcissism? We live in a time of great anxiety over the role of truth in public life. Media and popular culture are saturated with concerns over “fake news,” alternative facts and conspiracy theories.
