It’s humanly impossible to just keep going without ever stopping to rest. Even machines need downtime for repairs and maintenance. The human body is no different, with the exception that we keep the machine running at the expense of physical, emotional and spiritual needs. You need quiet time, that uninterrupted silence that is so elusive and prized, to rest and renew.
While today’s world has many luxuries that are supposed to make life much easier, sometimes these things seem to make life more complicated. Many of us dream of living a worry-free life, uninterrupted by the chaos we face in our daily lives but this dream is often interrupted by reality. Where can we go to get our spiritual balance and be covered by the Presence of the Most High.
Having a daily quiet time with God is one of the most important spiritual disciplines you can master.
