What would it look like for you to be able to accomplish this? It might not be a camping trip. It might keeping your phone in airplane mode for the day. It might be setting side 4-5 hours one day per week to go for a hike or walk in nature without any devices. It might be calling Sunday your day away from the computer - no TV, no internet, no phones. Unplugging looks different for everyone, and if you're not doing it on a regular basis, I highly encourage you to consider what that might look like for you. You'll be amazed at how you'll come back feeling stronger, more focused, and more passionate about what you do - and so grateful for the new perspective! What matters most is getting off. You cannot make progress without making decisions." After reading this quote, I realized how my low opinion of my decision making skills was affecting my progress in so many different areas of my life. One thing I discovered during this time is that I had been viewing decision making as something you do, with the result either being "right" or "wrong". And so I asked myself, what if it wasn't about being right or wrong? What if it was just about making a choice, and moving forward? I hope today's quote came at just the right time for you. So, if you want more time, you - and you alone - have the power to start saying no so that you get it back. Always give yourself time and space to consider opportunities, and you can do this by thanking the person for thinking of you, and letting them know you'll get back to them after you've checked your schedule. And a NO doesn't have to be so black or white!! It might be a "no" to the thing they've asked of you, but perhaps there's another way you can participate or support a cause, just like we've done with Palmas Animal Welfare. Because distractions are everywhere, and it's easy to jump from 1 thing to the next … bouncing around the internet until your day is over – and you have little to show for it. Remember, the formula is showing up and taking action - even when you're not completely sure what that first (or next) step is, or what your actions will result in.
