Perspective Can Change Your Life Forever – Part 1
They say, “perception is your reality,” and “it’s all a matter of perspective.” I happen to believe both of those views and today’s story drives home that point. My new friend, Stephanie, shared a life altering experience that gave her a whole new outlook going forward. Inspiration that can motivate us to act on our circumstances, goals and dreams is life changing. I hope you glean the good stuff out of this message and recognize we only have today to make a difference. Perspective is everything. This November Challenge Will Add Life To Your Days
A joyful heart is good medicine. That’s what the Bible says and what I know to be true. We’ve all experienced it after a good belly laugh. Yesterday, I had an occasion to experience that and decided to make it a part of my daily for this next month. I’m challenging you to join me. Laughter, deeply felt and thoroughly enjoyed, will relieve stress, has been shown to lower blood pressure, brighten moods, cultivate healthier conversations and create a better life experience no matter the situation in which you find yourself. So are you ready to take on this belly laugh bonanza for the next thirty days? LET’S DO IT!!! The post This November Challenge Will Add Life To Your Days appeared first on Ellen Kimball.
Receiving Is The Beginning
It’s amazing how little acts of kindness can radically impact us. Recently, a child gave me an unexpected gift with a message. Truth is, the message was how his gift reminded me of the need to be a grateful receiver. How open you are to receiving tells a lot about your wholeness and the balance, or lack thereof, in your life. We are all on a journey in life, whether we are developing ourselves actively, or allowing things to just “happen to us,” how we receive experiences and words is telltale. Be mindful that receiving is the beginning of transformation. The post Receiving Is The Beginning appeared first on Ellen Kimball.

Saying “Yes!” An Anniversary Of Growth Have you ever been taken on an adventure? It’s a bit like a surprise package because you just keep unwrapping it and new delights are continually revealed. Today, September 30, 2024, marks the 2 year anniversary of me saying, “Yes!” to leaving my home, packing up my belongings and letting God lead me to my next destination. He had the itinerary and I just had to follow. Honestly it was one of the biggest leaps of faith I’ve taken. And I’m SO glad I did that!! The post appeared first on Ellen Kimball.
It Doesn’t Get Much Simpler Than This
Ask any successful athletic coach and they will tell you that the key to success is in the basics. It’s the elemental skills practiced again and again that yield strength, discipline and ultimately winning success. Life is a big game, learning to play it well is how we find our success. Today I share a conversation I had with a friend who reminded me of these truths. You can transform your life with a decision. It’s so simple, you can begin today. Finding Success In The Settings
The foundation of anything is significant. It is the basis on which everything else is built. If you begin with a rough or crooked foundation, you’re going to have a structure that is compromised the more you build. Our mindset also follows this premise. Recently I discovered some solutions to computer tech issues that reminded me about this truth once again. If you’re willing to work on the solutions your success may be found in the settings. The post Finding Success In The Settings appeared first on Ellen Kimball.
Kick Out Can’t
My father used to tell me, “Can’t never did anything.” My father was right! On my continuing quest of taking my thoughts captive and learning to direct my mindset I have discovered a little, yet very powerful voice inside of me that whispers, “you can’t.” It has robbed me from the jumping in and going forward until now. I have recognized that nasty bugger and kicked it right out the door. You’re next, let’s do it together on today’s episode! The post Kick Out Can’t appeared first on Ellen Kimball.
Take Courage
We all have fear. It can be debilitating and keep us from joy and success in our lives. One way to overcome fear is to take courage. It’s not the absence of fear, but the strength to act in the face of fear. Taking courage won’t solve everything, but it will empower you to overcome and give you inspiration to go further than you can imagine. The post Take Courage appeared first on Ellen Kimball.
Perseverance Is An Olympic Event
Hurdles, challenges, difficulties, we all have them. They come in any way imaginable and stand in the way of us getting the outcome we desire. Keep learning, keep figuring it out, keep trying and you will get there. Todays podcast is living proof! The post Perseverance Is An Olympic Event appeared first on Ellen Kimball.
Size Matters Start Small
New beginnings are best managed when they are manageable. For me that can mean a small garden for the time I have to give it. When things are too big, too vast, or too time consuming there tends to be loss and neglect somewhere in that mix. I did not want that with my vegetable garden. I wanted it small to tend it daily and then to allow it to grow with my abilities. The weeds are also something I want to keep small. Smaller weeds are easier to pull than large ones. There is great joy in the small beginning a project as you find it coming to fruition right alongside your confidence. The post Size Matters Start Small appeared first on Ellen Kimball.

The Manure In Your Past Is Beneficial For The Seeds Of Tomorrow’s Greatness

Shine Your Potential
Batteries have an expiration date. So do we. I’ve been unpacking boxes in my move and have found some battery operated devices that are dead. It’s unfortunate that they were not used to their full potential. Sometimes we wait to engage in things out of fear, or uncertainty and all the while life is ebbing away. The greatness inside of you is going to bless so many others. Don’t let your battery die before you begin to fully shine. The post Shine Your Potential appeared first on Ellen Kimball.

Success Is Simple – Do Your A’s & B’s
Life doesn’t have to be difficult, but it is simpler with a plan. In my education days I told my students their daily plan was to do A and B. In Order To Go FAR You Need To Identify The F.E.A.R.
One achronym for FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real. That is quite accurate. Evidence that appears real is not always true. Identifying your fears and exploring where they began can help you move from allowing them to make your decisions to being set free in your mindset. Overcoming your fear is another step in finding balance and freedom. Unfold your greatness as you identify your fears and replace those with truths. Big Accomplishments Are Made With Lots Of Little Wins
Little by little, that’s how you keep finding balance, joy, success. It’s the little wins that accumulate to make the big wins. The key is to show up and keep going. Everything you are currently going through is getting you closer to accomplishment if you don’t quit. That’s how I run hills and approach life. I set little goals and keep telling myself I can make it to “there!” Once “there” I find another goal further ahead and KEEP GOING. Learn To Surf And You Will Enjoy The Waves
Stand on the sea shore and the waves just keep rolling in. It’s a great analogy of life. Helping You Find More In 2024
MORE. it looks like something different for each person. What you want is not necessarily what your neighbor wants, or what I want. Helping others find more in their lives has a return to it. It is a sowing and reaping when we help one another. Today’s episode is a story that illustrates this principle. You can have everything in life that you want as long as you help enough other people get what they want. The post Helping You Find More In 2024 appeared first on Ellen Kimball.

Change Your Perspective, Transform Your Outcome
Thomas Edison had to overcome hundreds and hundreds of failed attempts to invent the light bulb. He said, “When you think you have exhausted all possibilites, you haven’t.” Changing your perspective on your pursuits is a great way to keep moving forward. It is a practice of balancing your mindset from from thinking you’ve failed and allowing that to discourage your efforts to believing the answer lies right around the next corner. You Have An Expiration Date
Sometimes reflecting on the brevity of life is the most motivating meditation. That’s exactly what happened when I pulled out a bottle of rubbing alcohol and discovered it had an expiration date. The Best Year Of Your Life Is Like Riding A Bike
Have you ridden a bike lately? If it’s been a while, do you ever doubt that you could do it again, or are you confident those skills remain within you? Redistribute The Load – Part 2
In the book of Ecclesiastes, King Solomon tells us that two are better than one because they have a better return for their work. It’s absolutely true! We are limited in what we can do when we go it alone. But when we collaborate, or have help to lift the load we’re moving, everything shifts and it makes the work more fulfiling. The post Redistribute The Load – Part 2 appeared first on Ellen Kimball.
Redistribute The Load
Being out of balance may look differently for everyone, but in a washing machine it’s always the same. You have to redistribute the load if you want your clothes to be ready for the dryer. Everything functions better when we take the time to balance our mindsets, bodies, relationships, finances, you get the picture. It’s all figure-out-able. Learning to swim laps was a great lesson for me in the redistribution of balance for my body and mindset. There’s a nugget in this story for you.
