Inner Work 092: The Healing Path as a Labyrinth
In the words of Joseph Campbell on the labyrinth as a mythological symbol: "We have not even to risk the adventure alone, for the heroes of all time have gone before us — the labyrinth is thoroughly known. We have only to follow the thread of the hero path, and where we had thought to find an abomination, we shall find a god; where we had thought to slay another, we shall slay ourselves; where we had thought to travel outward, we shall come to the center of our own existence. And where we had thought to be alone, we shall be with all the world." In this episode, I explore the labyrinth as a metaphor for the healing path, with its winding detours, distractions, obstacles, and victories along the way. I talk about some of the key places and figures you'll encounter inside the labyrinth including the Dead End, the False Teacher, the Spiritual Advisor, and the Sanctuary. Join me for this traversal through the labyrinth -- which we ultimately never walk alone. Inner Work 091: Dealing with Setbacks on Your Healing Path
Expecting the healing path to move in a linear fashion can set you up for frustration and disappointment. A more accurate metaphor for the healing path is a spiral or labyrinth, with lots of detours, roadblocks, and shadows that come up to be healed along the way. In this episode, I share specific tips for dealing with setbacks on your healing path -- starting with the importance of redefining the word "setback" itself. This discussion is also helpful if you're experiencing a healing crisis or feeling a sense of dejection, confusion, impatience, or frustration with where you are on your healing journey. Inner Work 090: Gatekeeping and Ego in the Spiritual Community
Gatekeeping is an insidious form of restricting access to knowledge, information, resources, or opportunities. In this episode, I delve into the "shadow side" of the spiritual community to explore the issue of gatekeeping and unethical practices. I talk about the dangers of idealizing spiritual teachers and healers and giving your power away, as well as the importance of finding and following your own inner authority. Inner Work 088: Breaking Free of People Pleasing & Approval Addiction
Do you often find yourself trying to please everyone to keep the peace? Does conflict - or even the idea of conflict or disagreement - send you into a tailspin? Do you rely on others' praise and approval to feel ok about yourself? If so, you might be stuck in a pattern of people pleasing and approval addiction. In this episode, I talk about where these patterns and behaviors often originate and how early childhood conditioning can set you up to people please as an adult. I also discuss the Fawn Response, the automatic response to trauma beyond fight, flight, or freeze. Finally, I share some suggestions for starting to move beyond these deeply engrained patterns, one step at a time. Inner Work 087: Boundaries in Your Spiritual Business (and in Your Life)
It's so important to have clear boundaries in your business as a healer, lightworker, or spiritual entrepreneur. A lack of boundaries can leave you feeling exhausted and burnt out. It can also put your business, health, energy, and sanity in jeopardy. In this episode, I cover some of the most common pitfalls in setting boundaries in your spiritual business and offer suggestions on how to enforce healthy boundaries. We'll also talk about how some of these patterns of poor boundaries leak out into other areas of your life. Inner Work 086: Deep Lessons from The Hierophant
The Hierophant is sometimes one of the least liked cards in the Tarot decks -- or at least a card that many people have trouble connecting with. The Hierophant can represent patriarchy, authority, gatekeeping, organized religion, and conformism. But, in this episode, I share how we can reclaim The Hierophant for our modern times, derive powerful healing lessons from it, and use it to step into your inner authority and power. To connect with me and explore the possibility of working together, you can visit www.josephinehardman.com To join my free monthly Tarot challenges, head over to www.instagram.com/purefield.healing Thank you for your presence and for supporting the podcast! Inner Work 085: Overcoming Resistance to Grow Your Spiritual Business
On the path of the spiritual healer and entrepreneur, you'll often come up against different forms of resistance. Resistance shows up very frequently when you're about to make a big leap or take an action to grow your spiritual business. Or even if you're just putting yourself out there more visibly on social media! In this episode, I walk you through 6 different types of resistance that come up on the path of the spiritual healer. I also offer a few specific antidotes or ways to get around that resistance so you can grow your spiritual business without sabotaging your efforts. Inner Work 084: Making Yourself Magnetic to Your Ideal Clients
Are you a healer or spiritual entrepreneur trying to grow your business and get more clients? This episode is for you if you've connected to your Divine Mission and that Mission includes healing, being of service, transmuting energy, anchoring light, or serving as a catalyst for transformation. In this episode, I propose a new way of doing marketing that does NOT revolve around hustling, endless to-do lists, tricking, high-pressure sales tactics, or creating a false sense of urgency. Instead, as healers, we must think about marketing as making ourselves MAGNETIC to our ideal clients using ethical, aligned, powerful marketing strategies in full integrity with our spiritual values. It's time to elevate our marketing models and no longer do "business as usual." To connect with me or further explore a new way of doing marketing and running your business, you can head over to www.josephinehardman.com I'm also at www.instagram.com/purefield.healing Thank you for being here! And please keep doing your inner work. It will serve as a strong foundation for your business as you do your magic in the world. Music & editing by Garrett Demers. Inner Work 082: The Path of the Spiritual Entrepreneur
I call the path of the spiritual entrepreneur an "incubator for accelerated healing." This is because ALL of your stuff comes up on this path: your fears, resistance, triggers, self-doubt, self-sabotage, old wounds. And more! This episode takes a behind-the-scenes look at the path of the spiritual entrepreneur and examines some of the intense fears and triggers that come up along the way. I draw some parallels between this path and the Fool's Journey (in Tarot), given that running your own spiritual business requires tremendous amounts of faith, trust, and the ability to take risks. I also share why I think it's so important to become your own boss and create your own economy in light of recent world events. Inner Work 075: Listening to the Voice of Your Divine Genius (Instead of the Voice of Fear)
I'm sure you're familiar with the voice of fear within you (we all have it). This is the voice that tells you you're not good enough, things will never work out for you, you'll never make enough money, you're stupid, it's not worth trying anything new, etc, etc. (Such a tyrant!) But do you also recognize within yourself the voice of Divine Genius? This voice is also referred to as the voice of Higher Self, the voice of your soul, your inner knowing, your inner Goddess. In this episode, I talk about the INNER CONFLICT that's created when the voice of Divine Genius and the voice of fear within you are locked in a struggle. I also offer advice on how to turn up the volume on your voice of Divine Genius so you can move beyond old patterns, release your fear, and go for the things you actually want. Inner Work 064: Being in the Mystery Between Manifestations
There's always a gap between your desire and the manifested outcome of that desire -- we may call this the "mystery" between manifestations. As humans, we often find it challenging to reside in this mystery, which is why we give up on our deepest desires before they've had a chance to manifest. In this episode, we dive right into the mystery and I offer some strategies to become more comfortable with it. Ultimately, being comfortable with the mystery will allow you to call in what you want faster and with less resistance than ever before. Inner Work 062: Dealing with Low Frequency Emotions
As humans, it's almost impossible for us not to feel emotions like anger, fear, resentment, frustration, and disappointment in certain situations. These are low frequency emotions because they emit and attract lower vibrations than emotions like love, excitement, and joy. In this episode, I talk about how you can deal with low frequency emotions when you feel them, particularly in relationships. I also discuss the concept of the emotional pain-body, how this pain-body becomes activated, and how you can work towards making your own pain-body less reactive. Inner Work 059: Slowing Down to Find the Deeper Meaning
In our modern world, it's becoming increasingly difficult to take time to rest, slow down, do one thing at a time, and connect to something bigger and more expansive than ourselves. In this episode, I explore how you can reclaim your ability to slow down to find the deeper meaning in your life. We'll talk about the importance of finding and following your own natural rhythm, rather than being carried by the frantic pace of dominant culture. I discuss Abby Seixas' work and book, Finding the Deep River, in this episode. Thank you for listening! Purefield Radio | Inner Work 2019 All Rights Reserved.

Inner Work 058: A Guided Meditation to Connect With Your Inner Wild Woman
In Clarissa Pinkola Estes' classic book, Women Who Run With the Wolves, "wild woman" is an inner source of power and strength for all women. She is wise, courageous, nurturing, and connected to the cycles of nature and the moon. Wild woman can help us set healthy boundaries, say "no" and say "yes" from an authentic place, protect our space and energy, and align with our deepest longings and desires. In this guided meditation, you will journey to meet and connect with your inner wild woman in her forest cottage. You will ask her three questions and receive clear guidance to help you take your next steps or make an important decision in your life. Enjoy the journey! Thank you so much for listening and for doing your inner work. Purefield Radio | Inner Work 2019 All Rights Reserved.

Inner Work 057: Spiritual Bypassing
Robert Augustus Masters defines the term "spiritual bypassing" as a collection of behaviors and beliefs through which we use spirituality to avoid life. Some of these behaviors include anger-phobia, boundaries that are too strict or too porous, emotional numbing, and over-detachment from life. When we engage in spiritual bypassing, we trick ourselves into believing that we're healing and working through deep issues, but we're actually only staying on the surface of what's really going. In this episode, I invite you to explore the key behaviors of spiritual bypassing so you can move beyond them into deeper, more transformative, and long-lasting healing. Masters' book can be found here: Spiritual Bypassing. Thank you so much for listening, and keep doing your inner work! Purefield Radio | Inner Work 2019 All Rights Reserved.

Inner Work 056: Moving From Chaos to Stability
In this episode, I explore how you can move from a state of chaos (in your health, finances, relationships, career, or any other idea) to a state of greater stability, both internally and externally. I discuss what external chaos might represent in your life and how we sometimes use chaos to distract ourselves from fulfilling our divine missions. I also offer a few suggestions for cultivating a greater sense of stability and groundedness in your life. Robert Augustus Masters' book, which I mention in this episode, is called Spiritual Bypassing: When Spirituality Disconnects Us From What Really Matters. This episode is my interview with speaker, author, and writer Karly Randolph-Pitman on the concept of the inner rebel. The inner rebel is that voice or energy that pops up from within you when you try to make a change, take a risk, or work on healing yourself in a deep way. The inner rebel might sabotage your efforts, derail your progress, or get in your way when you try to improve yourself or your life. Learn how to work with - rather than against - this inner rebel, which is ultimately an important and valuable part of yourself. Inner Work 054: The Law of Attraction and Self-Blame
In this episode, I explore how working with law of attraction material can sometimes evoke feelings of self-blame, guilt, and shame in us, leading us to question, "How could I create this reality for myself?" In episode #52, we explore the archetypes of the Shadow Self and the Divine Self through the Tarot deck, discussing cards like the 8 of Swords, the 9 of Swords, The Devil, The Fool, and The Star. This episode explores the Tarot deck's primordial masculine and feminine energies and how we can activate and heal those energies within ourselves. Inner Work 049: How To Be Spiritual When Your Family Isn't
EEpisode 49 of Inner Work deals with a touchy subject: how to be spiritual when your family isn't. How can you explain your spirituality to your family? Should you even try? Do you have to share your spiritual path with them? How can you deal with family members who are resistant, close-minded, or who shame or mock your spirituality? I share my favorite tips and strategies for navigating this tricky subject!

Inner Work 048: How You Can Do More Soul-Aligned Work
Episode 48 of Inner Work features a discussion of soul-aligned work: what it is, how we can define it, how you know when you're doing it, and how can you start doing more of it right now. (No matter where you are in terms of your profession or job -- you can begin anywhere!) I also talk about the characteristics of soul-deadening work, which is the opposite of soul-aligned work, and how it drains you and keeps you unfulfilled. Ready to take the plunge and shift from an old paradigm of "hard work" and "paying your dues" to a new paradigm of "soul-aligned work" and doing what sets your soul on fire? Then join me for this conversation!

Inner Work 046: Practical Spirituality, or Walking the Talk
Episode 46 of Inner Work is a candid discussion of practical spirituality: how can you actually apply your spiritual values in daily living? Why is sending "love & light" to everyone simply not enough? What does it mean to have "cognitive dissonance" about what you say you believe from a spiritual perspective versus what you actually do out in the world? I offer 6 concrete suggestions for living and applying your spirituality in daily life. Thank you for listening, and keep doing your inner work!
