27 Lessons I Learned at 27
Join me in the meadow today for a light hearted chat about 27 lessons I've learned at 27. On Pet Loss and Grief
After a few months off the podcast taking care of my sick soul-pup he peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge. Today I'm back, feeling a lot lighter, and talking all things pet loss and pet grief. In this episode of In The Meadow I cover what helped me through the disenfranchised grief of losing a fur baby, how to help others in your life when they lose one, and ways to create pet memorials (whether your fur baby is still here or passed!). This episode title might be something avoidant feeling to some, and I understand that, but I promise it's a happy approach of what I wish I knew and took the time to think about before unexpectedly having to face euthanizing my sweet pup.References from the Ep (Books, Creators and More!)Cuddle Clones 15% off Discount Code: VIC15XBooks mentioned:Good Greif: On Loving Pets Here and Hereafter by E.B BartelsHow to Carry What Can't Be Fixed (workbook) by Megan DivineAnd I Love You Still (workbook) by Julianne CorbinWill You Love Me by Barby KeelThe Invisible Leash (picture book) by Partice KarstLove Notes to Grievers by Angela MorrisSmall Businesses for Pet Memorials and Creators Mentioned:Mickey Alice Kwapis for Eye Pendants and Pet Nose Impression KitsForget Me Not Jewels for Cremation JewelryCuddle Clones for Pet Replica Stuffed AnimalsRainbow Bridge Raina on Tiktok for Comforting ContentFor more on my personal pet loss and pet grief experience you can find me on Instagram with highlights at vicinthemeadow and on Tiktok at vicsauce. For inquiries and partnerships please e-mail [email protected] (business only) Hosted on Acast. On Aging and Getting Older
On today's episode, joint me in the meadow for a chat on the privilege of aging and growing older. I've got a lot to say about the praise of men aging into their 'silver fox' era and the constant capitalistic tearing down of women being less 'desirable' as they age and pushed anti-aging creams. Why is it we praise people like Jennifer Anniston so much for 'looking like she hasn't aged a day' before we praise her for her hard work and talent? Join me for this and so much more as we unpack the quiet confidence of aging, lessons learned and being grateful for every extra year we get! Hosted on Acast. On Toxic Productivity
Join me in the meadow to unpack some unhealthy habits of toxic productivity (that you might not even be aware you're doing). Rewrite the narrative around who you are at your core and how you spend your time. Put urgency culture on pause and learn how I set boundaries on my phone, in personal relationships and in the workplace with expectations others place upon me! Hosted on Acast. On Being a 90s Kid
On todays episode of the In The Meadow Podcast we're taking a trip down memory lane and talking about growing up in the late 90s/early 2000s. I'm indulging in one of my favourite pastimes of nostalgia and chatting about staple parts of our childhoods like the scholastic bookfair, stardoll, MSN, and so much more. The collective community we felt being in a blockbuster together on a friday night racing to see which new releases were still available was a feeling that remains unmatched. Join me for a chunk of your day to laugh at the simple times of growing up in a time of emerging technology and dial up internet.Let me know what you think of this episode and find me on Instagram at vicinthemeadow and Tiktok at vicsauce! Join me in the meadow for a funky fresh little Q+A episode today! We're covering questions y'all asked in my Instagram stories about living as an introvert in an extrovert world, communicating about anxiety with your partner, my Ukrainian heritage, and most importantly if I'm team Lizzie, Miranda or Gordo.Check out my IG podcast highlight reel for photo references and content mentioned in the episode :-)I'd love to hear what you think, so give me a shout over on insta at vicinthemeadow with your thoughts on todays pod!Below you can find the link to my post-punk slavic spotify playlist mentioned:https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7tzQSTPq0TpMm0XkQgEWUj?si=779dc70026624067 Hosted on Acast. On Learning to Live with Less
Join me in the meadow for a chat about how I've learned to live with less. I want to make it clear that this is not an episode about minimalism but rather talking about learning to curb consumerism in this capitalist world primarily due to budgeting and living within our means with a touch of mental health/wellbeing focus chitter chatter. I break down exactly how I budget and my monthly costs, give some insight as to why living with less can make your life easier, and reflect upon my formative years that lead me down the road of overconsumption (and how I've remedied that). I'd love to hear how YOU learn to live with less and your thoughts on this episode! Feel free to leave a review or send me a message over on IG at vicinthemeadow! Hosted on Acast. On Feeling Left Behind in Adulthood
On today's episode we're talking about feeling left behind as we navigate adulthood. There's this funny thing about growing up where all of us are at such different places in life, and love to compare ourselves to one another. I'm spilling the tea to break down assumptions around owning a house, having an 'aesthetic home', and these influencers and their amazon home finds. Stick around to the end of the episode for a little story my mom gave me that will melt your heart! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
