Politics are again heating up, and the results of the midterm elections will have resounding effects, especially in the wake of the tragic Pittsburgh synagogue shootings and mail pipe bomb threats. Today Pastor JD will encourage you to take your right to vote seriously, and to involve God in the process. It's not just that you vote, but how you vote!

In Ephesians Paul clearly lays out for us the things required of a husband and wife for a successful marriage. Taking on this sometimes controversial scripture, Pastor JD helps us understand that if the man truly adheres to the rules which God has set out before him, his wife will likely fall into her God given role.

As Christians we need to have the Holy Spirit. Pastor JD warns us, that if we do not have the influence of the Holy Spirit, we are missing out on the true Christian life. It's through Him that we will be granted the strength and ability needed to adhere and move forward in God's Will for us. If you have not already, ask the Holy Spirit to influence your life. 

The verse “wives submit to your husbands” is regularly taken out of context and sometimes used to create an unhealthy foundation in marriages. Pastor JD helps us understand what Paul was really saying in that verse and how we as Christians ought to treat one another so that we can experience what God intended within our marriages.

Christians should not resemble zombies. Sadly, many of us are walking along, joyless and completely absent of the Holy Spirit. Every human being is of great value to God. He gave His beloved Son to purchase our salvation and bring us into intimacy with Him.
