S2 Ep 130Dear HR, Let's Break Up?

Ep 491Ep 491: Can TA Drive Internal Mobility?

We're still only at the start of 2023, but it's already clear that it will be another challenging and complex year for talent acquisition. In our conversation, she shared some of the strategies used to deal with the significant challenges around internal mobility and has some advice to share with TA Leaders who want to prove the value of their teams. In the interview, we discuss: Recruiting challenges Tech layoffs and global talent pools How Talent Acquisition leaders can demonstrate the value of their teams Building internal talent marketplaces The challenges of internal mobility Building a business case from data The importance of C-Suite sponsorship Awareness, access and enablement Results and ROI The role of technology What does the TA team of the future look like Listen to this podcast in Apple Podcasts.

Our robotic overlords are closer to running all this shit than you think. Have you heard of OpenAI and ChatGPT? If not, Chad & Cheese are here for an introductory lesson. To say it might change writing job descriptions, resumes, and interviewing forever is an understatement. Yeah, really. Then it's time for a little Who'd Ya' Rather with Allwork and Hunters Club (no, not the Polo knock-off from the '80s) and a little good-cop / bad-cop with LinkedIn and ending with a roundup of the good, the bad, and the ugly on the current state of global corporations. Ho-ho-holy hell it's a great episode of HR's Most Dangerous Podcast. God bless us, everyone.

Leapsome, Coming to America

E

"Coming to America" isn't just a great Eddie Murphy movie from the '80s. It's also the rallying cry for many European companies looking to grow their bottom lines in the world's biggest economy. Enter Leapsome out of Germany who is the latest industry player to make their way across the Atlantic, opening up and promising to hire well over 50 people in New York City this year alone. As you expect, there's very little agreement with the move being a good one or not. Then the boys play a little Buy-or-Sell with iFeel, Vektor and Surfboard. (Spoiler alert: There's almost no agreement by anyone.) Closing the show is a discussion on a recent court decision out of France that ruled companies can't fire their workers for failing to be sufficiently "fun." Well, that's no fun! This episode, however? Loaded with fun! Enjoy!

Job Boards still play a central role in talent attraction, but outside of the job board industry, there isn't much discussion or debate about their current state and future potential. Wave publishes Wave TrackR, a regular independent report that uses job board data to track recruiting trends, which means Dave has a wealth of insights to share. In the interview, we discuss: The current state of the job board market Pricing models and programmatic adoption Geographic market differences The importance of the active audience Are there still more jobs than candidates? How to get the best out of job boards Mindset change What's the future of job boards? Listen to this podcast in Apple Podcasts. A full transcript will appear here shortly.
