Bob Ludwig is a Men's Basketball Assistant Coach at DII St. Leo University in Florida. Prior to joining the staff at St. Leo, Ludwig was a varsity head coach at IMG Academy during the 2023-2024 season. Ludwig previously served six seasons as the head coach at NAIA Peru State College in Nebraska. Ludwig's collegiate coaching experience includes stops at Nebraska Wesleyan University (2007-08), Bellevue University (2008-2011), Midland University (2011-15), Peru State (2015-16, 2017-23), and Central Wyoming College (2016-17).Ludwig's teams have combined to win five conference titles and eight NAIA tournament appearances including finishing as the national runner-up in 2014 with Midland. He has recruited and coached 13 NAIA All-Americans, 29 NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes, and 35 All-conference performers. Chris McMillian is the Men’s Basketball Associate Head Coach at Central Michigan University. He joined Head Coach Tony Barbee’s staff as an assistant coach in May of 2021 and was promoted to associate head coach in August 2024.Prior to Central Michigan, McMillian spent two seasons at Idaho State (2019-21), after serving as the Director of Player Performance at Illinois-Chicago for four years, overseeing the design and implementation of the Flames' strength and conditioning program.McMillian's resume also includes stops as an assistant coach at the College of Southern Idaho (2014-15) and at Hawaii (2010-14), where he served first as the strength coach and video coordinator before being promoted to the director of basketball operations. Byron Burt is an aspiring G-League/NBA Coach who previously served as the Head Boys’ Basketball Coach at St. Laurence High School in Chicago, Illinois. Jake Diebler is the Head Men’s Basketball at the Ohio State University. He has been with the Buckeyes for a total of eight seasons. He was a video coordinator with the program from 2014-16 and then returned as an assistant coach prior to the 2019-20 season. He was promoted to associate head coach before the 2021-22 season and then was named interim head coach on Feb. 14, 2024. The first Ohioan to be Ohio State’s head coach in 35 years, Diebler led the Buckeyes to a 6-2 record in his time as the interim head coach. Following the Big Ten Tournament, Diebler was named the full time head coach and led the Buckeyes to the quarterfinals of the NIT. Overall, Diebler amassed an 8-3 record as head coach at the end of the 2023-24 season. Jake began his coaching career at Valparaiso with Bryce Drew from 2009-2013. He also worked for Drew at Vanderbilt from 2016-2019. As a player Jake holds the all-time Ohio high school career records in both assists (835) and steals (578). Todd Simon is entering his second season as the head coach of the Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball program in 2024-25. In his first season with the Falcons, Coach Simon orchestrated one of the quickest turnarounds in program history. In his first season, the Falcons tallied 20 wins for just the 10th time in the program's MAC era, becoming one of 10 teams in the nation to go from 20 losses in 2022-23 to 20 wins in 2023-24. Simon joined the Falcons after spending seven seasons at Southern Utah as the head coach of the Thunderbirds. Under Simon’s leadership, Southern Utah went 118-96 with three straight 20 wins seasons from 2020-2023.Prior to arriving at Southern Utah, Simon was named interim head coach of the UNLV men's basketball program in January 2016 and was in his third year as associate head coach with UNLV.Before his time as a Runnin' Rebel, Simon served Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada for seven years in both head and assistant coaching roles. Melissa Jackson is entering her first season as Youngstown State's Head Women's Basketball Coach in 2024-2025. She is the ninth head coach in the history of the Youngstown State University women’s basketball program.Jackson previously spent 15 seasons at Akron and the most recent campaign at Cleveland State. Her final five seasons in Akron were as the Zips’ head coach, and she is the only coach in the program’s history to have a winning record. Jackson held three different positions over her 15 seasons at Akron from 2008-23 and was part of the Zips’ best period in program history. She was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator on Jodi Kest’s staff from 2008-12, and she was elevated to the role of associate head coach alongside Kest from 2012-18. Jackson’s role in Akron’s success under Kest helped her earn a promotion to Akron’s head coach before the 2018-19 season, and she helped the Zips assemble a 72-69 record and 40 MAC victories in her five seasons. Jackson spent the first four years of her coaching career at Delaware from 2004-08 after graduating from the University of Richmond where she was a 4 year basketball student-athlete. Stephen Halstead is entering his fifth season as a men’s basketball assistant coach at NAIA Grace College in Indiana. Halstead served as a graduate assistant for his first two seasons, leading Grace's junior varsity squad while assisting with the varsity.In 2023-24 Grace was ranked as the No. 1 team in the country for much of the season. The Lancers won the regular season and postseason championships in the Crossroads League and were the overall No. 1 seed in the NAIA tournament. Grace then enjoyed its deepest run in the NAIA Div. I tournament era, reaching the Final Four. Halstead was a four-year member of Grace's basketball squad. He played from 2014-18 and finished his career with 151 made 3-pointers. Over the course of his 115-game career, he shot 42 percent on 3-pointers and 83 percent on free throws. Jon Jaques is entering his first season as the Mens’ Basketball Head Coach at Cornell University. Jacques has spent more than a decade as an assistant coach in the Ivy League, including the last 12 at Cornell. He has assisted in the development of 12 Big Red All-Ivy selections, including five first-teamers, and two CoSIDA Academic All-Americans.Prior to Cornell Jaques was part of Kyle Smith's 2012-13 staff at Columbia team. Jon began his coaching career at Stevens Institute of Technology under head coach Bobby Hurley in 2011.Jaques was a four-year member of the Cornell basketball team and a senior captain, emerging as a starter in his final season and developing into one of the nation's most improved players after playing a total of 108 minutes and scoring 33 points through his first three years. Jaques and his teammates won an Ivy League record 29 games and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16, defeating nationally ranked opponents Temple and Wisconsin before falling to overall No. 1 seed Kentucky in the regional semifinals. John Shulman is entering his first season as the Head Men's Basketball Coach at The University of Central Arkansas. In his previous five seasons at the helm of the University of Alabama Huntsville, Shulman posted a record of 112-39 and led the Chargers to five consecutive D2 NCAA tournament berths. Overall, Shulman has a career coaching record of 257-185.Shulman also served as the head coach at Tennessee Chattanooga from 2004 to 2013. While at Chattanooga, the Mocs earned two D1 NCAA tournament appearances following a pair of Southern Conference championships. Tyler Coston is the Founder of Savi Performance. On this episode we talk with Tyler about shooting for beginners, action based player development, and Lock Left Defense. He is known as a thought leader in player development, curriculum creation and teaching methodology. Tyler spent 13 years providing leadership as Director of Basketball Development for PGC Basketball. Tyler coached the women’s basketball team at Trinity Western University from 2005-2007, while simultaneously running a skills-development program that produced five Division I (USA) athletes. In 2007, he accepted a position as an Assistant Coach at Portland State University. During his first year at Portland State, the Vikings won the Big Sky Conference with an overall record of 23-8. Kevin Hovde is entering his third season as a Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach at the University of Florida in 2024-25. Hovde, who has worked alongside Gators’ Head Coach Todd Golden for nine seasons, helped Florida get back to the NCAA Tournament in 2024. The Gators posted 24 wins in 2023-24, their most since 2016-17, and advanced to the SEC Tournament championship game for the first time since 2014.Hovde came to Florida after most recently helping Richmond to the second round of the NCAA Tournament following an Atlantic 10 Tournament championship. Kevin joined the Richmond staff as an assistant coach in May 2021, returning to his alma mater after five seasons at the University of San Francisco, where he served as the team’s associate coach on Golden’s staff from 2019 to 2021. Prior to San Francisco, Hovde was on the staff at Columbia for five seasons, two alongside Golden. He joined the program as the director of basketball operations in 2011 and was promoted to assistant coach the following season. In 2015-16, his final season at Columbia, the Lions finished 25-10, setting a school record for wins, and won the postseason CollegeInsider.com Tournament.Hovde first joined the Spiders in 2006 out of Unionville High in Kennett Square, Pa. as part of Chris Mooney’s first recruiting class at Richmond. He appeared in 99 games over four seasons, scoring 195 total points. Ben Witherspoon is entering his first season as a Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach at Mercer University. Previously, he was an assistant coach under Johnny Dawkins at the University of Central Florida for two seasons beginning in 2022. Prior to joining the UCF men’s basketball staff in June 2022, Witherspoon spent three seasons (2019-2022) as the head men’s basketball coach at Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, winning a state championship in 2021.Before his tenure at Dr. Phillips, Ben enjoyed two stints at Montverde Academy as an assistant coach in 2013-14 and 2018-19.
