After a heavy snowfall, a trail of hoof-like marks, resembling cloven hooves, appeared across an estimated 40–100 miles of countryside, spanning multiple towns and villages. Cripple creek Colorado started out as a gold rush boom town in the late 1800’s. Over the years it saw its share of violence, shootouts, riots and fires.
