Amy Baltzell is a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of the Sport Psychology Specialization (of Counseling) at Boston University. She is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant with the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (CMPC). She is a former US National (1989, 1990) and Olympic (1992) Rowing Team member, member of the All women's America's cup Sailing Team (1995), and Head Varsity lightweight rowing coach (1998-1999) at Harvard University. Amy is the author of 3 books: The Power of Mindfulness, Mindfulness and Performance, and Living in the Sweet Spot: Preparing for Performance in Sport and Life. Her research focus is on mindfulness and self-compassion in sport. 196: Learning to Be Present Focused with Brett Haskell, Director of Sport Psychology, University of Nebraska

Dr. Brett Haskell, Ph.D., was promoted to Director of Sports Psychology in July of 2018. In her role, Dr. Haskell provides counseling, psychological services, mental skills training, teambuilding and leadership development services for each of Nebraska's 24 sports and more than 600 Husker student-athletes. Haskell works closely with student-athletes to help them develop skills and techniques that enhance personal well-being, address mental health concerns and optimize performance. She also works with coaches to provide team interventions that build student-athlete resilience and grow mental resolve. Dr. Haskell came to Nebraska in September of 2014 after serving as a counseling and sport psychology postdoctoral counselor at Kansas. Along with obtaining her doctoral degree from Kansas in Counseling Psychology, Dr. Haskell provided counseling and performance enhancement training to Jayhawk student-athletes for five years. Dr. Haskell earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Nebraska-Kearney in 2005 and her master's degree in sport psychology from North Carolina-Greensboro in 2008. 175: Closing the Gap with Lennie Waite, Professional Track Athlete and Sport Psychology Consultant

Lennie Waite is professional track athlete in the 3000m steeplechase and a sport psychology consultant. Waite attended Rice University from 2004-2009, where she played soccer and ran cross country and track. Waite left Rice as a school record holder, a two-time All-American, an Academic All-American, and a top 10 finalist for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award. After her career at Rice, she pursued her PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the University of Houston which she completed in 2012. A few months after earning her PhD in 2012, she competed in the 2012 Olympic Trials, finishing fourth and narrowly missing a spot on Great Britain's Olympic Team. In 2016, she achieved her dream of becoming an Olympian and represented Great Britain in the 3000m steeplechase at the Rio Olympics. Lennie is currently preparing for her third Commonwealth Games for Scotland and raced in the 3000m steeplechase in the Gold Coast, Australia on April 11th. Lennie is also a Certified Mental Performance Coach (CMPC) and an active member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. She is passionate about developing athletes to their fullest potential. 172: Sustained Excellence on Fire with Colleen M. Hacker, Ph.D., Internationally recognized Speaker and Consultant in Performance Psychology

Dr. Colleen Hacker has served as a member of the United States coaching staff for five Olympic Games as a Mental Skills Coach and Performance Psychology Specialist. Dr. Hacker began her National Team service in 1995 working with the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team. They won the first Gold Medal awarded in women's soccer at the 1996 Olympic Games followed by a dramatic overtime victory over China in the 1999 World Cup that year. She has been named on the coaching staff for more than 10 World Championship and has been named Olympic games Coaching staff for women's soccer, field hockey and ice hockey. She helped the US women's hockey team win gold this year at the Winter Olympics. In addition to her work with National Teams, Dr. Hacker serves as the mental skills coach to professional, international and Olympic athletes in a variety of sports. With more than 30 years experience in higher education, she is currently a Professor in Kinesiology specializing in Sport and Exercise Psychology in Tacoma, Washington. Dr. Hacker has received numerous professional awards including the Distinguished Professional Practice Award from AASP (the first woman to do so) and the Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award (the highest teaching honor awarded by the University).
