We are back with another episode diving into the dream world! In this episode we openly discuss a lot of our own experiences as well as our own theories surrounding the astral plane and what we think goes on with astral projection. As much as we hear consistently about astral projection nowadays astral projection and discussing the astral plane has been around for a very long time and spanning across many different cultures and religions. We dive into all the theories and experience stories we've ever heard around the concept of astral travel and we even dive into the possibility of experiments for the future. Taking place in the 1950s and formally ending in 1973 MK Ultra was a government based program that looked into the capabilities of mind control. This week on Hidden In The Shadows we dive deep and discuss the events and experiments that took place during the 20 year experimental programs. Starting out as a more structured project put on by the CIA ended abruptly after repeated abuse was found and in 1975 a congressional investigation took place looking into the project. Volunteered and unvolunteered persons were subjected to countless doses of LSD and other drugs as well as put into situations that completely broke down the mind and left them vulnerable for a series of dark events. With the MK Ultra events it also gave birth to a bunch of conspiracy theories. In this episode we break down the experiments, the events, if the CIA was successful and actually succeeded in mind control, and finally our views and theories on more of the paranormal aspect of the whole project and into the conspiracy theories! Diving into our first episode of Season 3 we are covering a conspiracy theory that is remaking it's way around the paranormal community. And that is the Montauk Project. The Montauk Projects is the conspiracy theory that the government ran projects and experiments during the 1970's and into the 1980's dealing with mind control, time traveling, talking with aliens, remote viewing and so much more. While there was always speculation and rumors about this it wasn't until the 1990's when Preston Nichols released a book titled The Montauk Project: Experiments in Time that it really sparked interest and really heightened the idea that the government could have actually been doing this. Preston Nichols wrote the book about his own experiences working at the Montauk project as a supervisor and he was able to gather this information from his repressed memories. In this episode we dive into our own personal theories, and beliefs and if we think the Montauk project was actually a thing, we cover the backstory and further discuss government involvement with people that have abilities like remote viewing and more. This was an extremely intriguing subject to cover and made us develop further questions surrounding the Montauk Project. On this week's bonus episode we dive into a case we have recently talked about on episodes prior. We are diving into Barry's story with non other than Barry himself. In this episode Isaac dives into Barry's attachment and how we went about removing the attachment from him that has been with him for well over a decade. This week on Hidden In The Shadows, we dive into an area located within the town of Cornwall, Connecticut best known as Dudleytown. This location has been a hot spot for locals, thrill seekers, paranormal investigators, and more! While it's currently closed to the public with strict enforcement for trespassers this location in the past has surfaced a lot of legends and questions. Throughout our paranormal endeavors we have talked with our share of psychic mediums and people who have experienced the paranormal. A lot of these stories that are shared with us on why people have gotten involved in the paranormal, or even with abilities seem to stem from an encounter they had at a very young age. After a week and a half of a hiatus we are back and this week diving back into the halls of the Cecil Hotel for some encounter stories, discussions about investigations and of psychic impressions! In downtown Los Angelus lies one of the most intense hotels in America. With countless deaths, and a dark history that fades all the way back to 1934 we decided to tackle this location for the episode this week. Going into this week we sat down to talk about haunted locations with a pirate backstory. While there's not very many locations that specifically talk about pirate legends we did manage to find a couple. Two locations located on the east coast of North Carolina and one down in Savannah, Georgia! We talk the backstories, what and if the locations have been investigated, and more! The Hammock house is the first location we talk about. Located in Beaufort, NC which served as a frequent spot for the infamous pirate Black Beard. This location's paranormal activity includes a blood stain of a slayed party goer that keeps reappearing, and hearing screams. The second location is at a spot known as Teach's Hole in Ocracoke Island, North Carolina where Black Beard met his demise. It's said that you see a light and a ghostly apparition which many locals believe to be the ghost of black beard. And finally we end the episode in Savannah, Georgia where a restaurant called the Pirate House Restaurant. Currently serving as a restaurant serving southern cuisine it's known as one of the oldest buildings in Savannah if not in all of Georgia. New Orleans for the longest time has been world renowned for the unique mystic and almost otherworldly feeling that the city brings. In this episode we dive into a topic we haven't quite covered yet. Have you ever thought of the concept of giants known as The Nephilim? Have you ever heard of The Watchers? That's exactly what we are talking about in this episode. The Watchers were mentioned in the Book of Enoch and were angels dispatched to Earth to watch over humans. They soon began to disobey their original guidelines of watching humans by teaching them the ways of the heavens, and by falling in love with the women of Earth. They were soon exiled to Earth and thus created what is know as The Nephilim which were giant beings. For the past couple of weeks Isaac and I have been tossing around this idea about witchcraft and could it possibly be a form of ancient technology to kind of hack or go deeper into the spiritual realm? We saw a couple videos on Tik Tok tip toeing into the concept and we immediately wanted to cover it for an episode! This episode is all about that concept! In this episode we are diving into the real nit and gritty of spooky. Welcome to another episode of Hidden In The Shadows and on this week's episode we are diving full force with an episode all about the concept of Poltergeist Haunts! Going into this episode Isaac and I thought we were pretty knowledgeable about what exactly a poltergeist haunt consists of but we were wrong...well...not completely wrong but there was more to this type of haunt then we thought. The actual definition of a poltergeist haunt is a ghost or other supernatural being supposedly responsible for physical disturbances such as loud noises and objects thrown around. Even though it's a vague definition there is so much more to this type of haunt. In this episode we discuss theories, our own personal experiences, important cases such as the Enfield Poltergeist (which was loosely conceptualized in the Conjuring 2 movie) and how the legend of the Bell Witch was technically a poltergeist case. On the eastern part of North Carolina in a small city of Jacksonville is a military base called Camp Lejeune. One of the biggest bases on the east coast, and officially been voted "The Most Haunted City In North Carolina" by a paranormal poll taken by a website called Treetopia. They took paranormal experience stories and managed to create a 50 state list with one city voted Most Haunted in each state. If you ask different people some agree with this chart and others do not but one thing we can attest to is that Camp Lejeune is haunted. Camp Lejeune is a very local spot to us and we have heard crazy experience stories from local people in the area that live on Camp Lejeune and surrounding cities.
