This week's episode is definitely a different subject matter than what we normally do but we thought it was an important episode topic. We get asked a lot how we meditate? What music do we use? And in this episode we dive into that. Decompressing after investigating is important, at least for us. In this episode we dive into a music genre that has incorporated an element of the paranormal into the lyrics and themes as well as what we use to meditate. Meditating isn't always the easiest and we're firm believers that even people that don't have abilities will find some relief in meditating and calming their mind. In this episode we troubleshoot some of our own issues we had with traditional meditation music and how we've found foolproof ways to get into that meditative state. For this year's Halloween episode we definitely wanted to switch it up. For 2022 we decided to take you to a local location that we've been mentioning quite a bit here on the Hidden In The Shadows Podcast during the haunted updates each episode. Patsy's Pond is located in Newport, NC and is essentially a nature trail but the unique thing about this spot is the sink holes. Sink holes essentially endless leave the imagination open as to what exactly has been put into the water since the earlier days of the land. This area served as a huge fresh water supply location for not only the Croatan Tribes here but for the settlers. The history around the area has everything from Pirates, settlements, civil war, revolutionary war, multiple battles, slavery, and so much more in terms of history. A lot of the recent places we've been to connect to this location and we thought why not talk about our experience here while doing a LIVE podcast episode. Have you ever heard of the Urban Legend of Cropsey? Known around Staten Island as the Staten Island Boogie Man this legend was frequently told to kids residing in the Staten Island area as a warning to behave and not stay out too late. The urban legend was based around a man who was deranged and escaped from an insane asylum with a hook for a hand. Some stories have him swinging an axe. This story took a drastic turn in 1980s when parents' and kids' worst nightmare became a reality. In the area local kids had gone missing which started to create a stir into the whole Cropsey legend. The man responsible for this was Andre' Rand, a janitor local to the area living in an abandoned part of the Willow brook Reformatory School for Disabled Children. A school of nightmares. Diving into one location that is on our bucket list to investigate, The Spring Branch house lies infamous in our lives for the amount of activity and level of paranormal activity that took place while we lived here. We went through everything in this house from seeing shadows, hearing voices, opening doors, moving things, and more. When you think of amusement parks, the last thing you think of is the park being haunted. However, stories of the other side still lurking around after hours aren't uncommon.
