Our Guest James Mulvaney LinkedIn : linkedin.com/in/jamesmulvany Website : jamesm.com (Blog) Twitter : jmulvany Hacks to Take Away What are the different reasons why people go on podcasting. There's no harm in doing some interesting conversations and meeting some new people and providing some kind of entertainment or education for your audience. I was doing sales in designing the website. But I was probably kind of a bit of a jack of all trades and Master of None. I think podcasts are almost like an evolution of radio in a sense. But the difference really, between radio and podcast, is a podcast is something that you download, you can listen to it from the beginning to the end, and for radio you tune in if you listen to what's happening right now. I think the fact that these kinds of communication tools, zoom and your radio, podcasting, and video chat, and all these live streaming functionalities are available on a wide range of platforms just make the whole thing really accessible to everyone. Being a guest on someone else's podcast is a great way to go if you're not really ready to take the plunge and start your own podcast. And the purpose of the book is that you're given, which is a small part of the tombstone, which is a huge part of your life. It's because we don't know when our time is going to end. We have limited time here. I'm in tune with these eight areas of my life, and I'm intentionally finding ways to develop them, and to grow them, then my life is much more meaningful. The writing was therapy for me. That's what helped me gather my thoughts, my feelings, my emotions, to try to make sense of my life and what I experienced in it. I just try to turn my pain into power. If you have paint and you don't do anything with it, then it becomes destructive. But if you take paint, do something constructive with it, it becomes powerful and it brings it to the purpose and that's what I want it to do. My goal is just to help people a little less not to say I'm going to give you the cure. I'm going to wave this magic wand and it's all going to go away. But I want to help you cope with hope. You don't want to give up encouragement. I want you to heal and you can only heal when you have hope that you can come on successfully to the other side. My hope is that people will be inspired enough to share their hurts that they want to, or when their time comes and they go through some trauma. They will be bold and brave enough to go share it with the person down the street. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

I never particularly wanted to be a DJ. That was never really my goal. But, the idea of other people hearing it was very cool to me. I did a lot of stuff with computers and making computers, the hardware and selling computers and then selling a bit of software. My parents both were musicians. My dad played guitar and my mom telling our story time was really sing a long time when we were kids. And because of my love of technology, I actually really enjoyed the realtor reel tapes. Almost more than I enjoyed the speaking. Google became the only game in town, and all you could do is create content that made the game quite different. There's a lot to learn. The people who are teaching it are the people who found it by trial and error. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Those who have worked with him describe him as passionate, intense, and driven. His philosophy can best be summed up in this quote from Zig Ziglar, “You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.” Let’s find out how he got through all these great experiences! Our Guest Jason Cutter LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/jascut Twitter: JSMBdesigns Websites : cutterconsultinggroup.com (Company Website), jasoncutter.com/ (Company Website) Hacks to take Away Everything I do is focused on sales and persuasion and helping people be successful. So that's the punch line. You don't put in the time and the investment and then that's what you get right, almost a self-fulfilling prophecy and this endless loop. Which is fascinating because that's my first sales job in the mortgage business. I have enough experience with persuading and selling but when somebody puts that label of sales, then they feel confined to this weird way that it has to be done. Focus on sales on helping the other person by solving some problems or helping them achieve the goal of helping them buy something they want. Maybe it's not solving their pain but you know how you can do that and then just using persuasion to move them forward towards what they want right if you have the solution for it. When you find that qualified prospect who is a good fit with what you have to sell and what they need. And you have to overcome challenges and objections. I think one of the things that has made me really successful and helps me from a sales and then also from a coaching perspective is I was not raised by salespeople. I was in fact raised by anti salespeople. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
