We are back for season number 14 of the GPL Podcast! A lot has happened. Pitlick to Minnesota State. Guys leaving. New guys from the transfer portal. 6 players with letters. We covered a lot!

A special summer GPL Podcast as we test new streaming software that we will start using next season. We talk about Snuggerud's return, Matthew Wood coming over from UConn and Liam Souliere from Penn State. Current gopher hitting the transfer portal. The non-conference schedule. Basically an off-season update for the Gophers.

John King, from Pulltab Sports, joined us to recap the season and preview next year! A lot of Transfer Portal talk. Pino, Strobel, Fish and Barto gone. Wood and Souliere in. Snuggerud is back. So much to talk about so many things along with the opponents for next season.

The Gopher's come back and get the 3-2 win over Omaha. We did a quick 15 minute wrap of the big win.

We dig in to this years NCAA Tournament and give our predictions to what we think is going to happen. But really it is just a celebration of the best 4 days of the season as the teams go from 16 to 4!

Former Gopher Nick Angell joined the show to share some great stories of hockey in the KHL, The Wooger, Guentzel, The Don. This is definitely an episode where watching overtime on YouTube is worth your while!

Todd Milewski from the Wisconsin State Journal joined us to talk about the BigTen Semi-Finals this week. We get in to how the Badgers got knocked out by Ohio State. We also got in to the Minnesota struggle with Penn State, but did advance.

BTN's Paul Caponigri joins the show to help us preview the BigTen Tournament starting this weekend. Cappy is hoping for a 3 game weekend, whereas we believe this will be a Minnesota sweep! We also get in to the bizarre 5min major call on OSU this past as well.

We have both Adam Wodon and Brad Schlossman on the podcast to talk about the NCAA Regional format. Adam did’t like Vegoe’s word of Disingenuous, so I thought it made a great title to the show. Did we come up with a solution? No. But we are keeping the conversation going! We also got in to the 2pts in South Bend against Notre Dame. Previewed the final BigTen regular season series with Michigan as well.

Writer and Podcaster Drew Cove joined us on the show this week to recap the Penn State series and preview the road games at Notre Dame. We also answered quite a few listener/viewer questions.

A brand new guest joined the podcast this week as Brian Tripp, the voice of Penn State hockey as well as the Frozen Four on Westwood One, joined the show! We are still trying to figure out what goalie interference is after the BADger series. We also got a bit in to the struggles Minnesota has with the shootout. We also previewed the weekend against Penn State.

We have Todd Milewski from the Wisconsin State Journal on to talk about a Badger team that has really turned it around this season. We get in to the real reason that the series is not on TV this weekend. We also get Todd's thoughts on the NCAA Regional format.

We recap the sweep over Ohio State. Get more in to the weeds with the NCAA Regional format and how the Maryland Heights Regional site only holds 2500 fans. Preview a HUGE weekend at Michigan State.

Cappy is back to help us preview the OSU series at 3M Arena at Mariucci this coming weekend. We also got quite a bit in to the NCAA Regional format that Brad Schlossman talked about in his great article this week. We also recapped the sweep of Robert Morris.

Former Minnesota & Robert Morris SID, Brian Deutsch, joined the show to give us a bit of a behind the scenes look at both programs. We also covered the CC series and previewed the games with Robert Morris.

Big Ten Network’s Paul Caponigri joined the show for the 12th time. We talked about the split at Penn State. What Bob is wishing for Christmas. And previewed the weekend against Ohio State.

Always fun to have the "Kinger" on the podcast. The show and overtime never lets us down. We recapped the Michigan State series. Previewed the Penn State series. Also got in to a few interesting topics with John as well.

We celebrated 250 episodes of the podcast with Gopher Hockey legend, Pat Micheletti! Talked about the split vs Notre Dame. The slow start for the team. And previewed the series with Michigan State.

The Gophers get 4 out of 6 points in Michigan which is always a good thing! Still struggle on the shootout. We talk about all that as well as the newly signed recruits and preview the weekend against Notre Dame.

We recapped the win and tied with Duluth. Talked about the new 4 year contract with UMD that eliminates the home/home. We also previewed the series at Yost this coming weekend.

Marissa Voss joins the show as we recapped the BADger sweep of the Gophers and previewed the home and home with Minnesota- Duluth.

We are so happy that Todd Milewski is back covering hockey after spending half of last year on Basketball. We recap last weekend. Talk about their new coach Mike Hasting. And of course preview the weekend.

Returning Gopher goalie Justen Close joins us for this special offseason podcast. He is enjoying the last few weeks of his summer break at his family cabin 3 hours north of his hometown of Kindersley, Saskatchewan. We get in to the disappointment of losing the National Championship game. The new NIL opportunities with Dinkytown Athletes as well as some of his favorite cooking.

A lot happening at Mariucci during the offseason. So we thought we would get the main architect behind all of the changes. So a few weeks ago we visited 3M Arena at Mariucci and had Tom Betti from JLG Architects joined us to talk about the changes being made to the arena this offseason. This is more of a vidual podcast, so it is recommended that watching on our YouTube channel may be a better result.

We recap the devastating National Championship game lost to Quinnipiac. Talk about the players that have signed contracts and look ahead a bit to next season.

We were live from Amalie Arena and the Frozen Four in Tampa. Todd Milewski was our main guest, but we also had Mike Grimm join early on in the show as well. We previewed the two big semi final matchups with MN vs BU and MI vs QU. Should be a great Frozen Four.

Nate Wells and Drew Cove joined the podcast to preview the NCAA Tournament this weekend. We gave our predictions on the tournament, but also looked back on the Big Ten title game that Minnesota lost.

We had Connor Earegood from the Michigan Daily join us to preview the Big Ten Championship game this weekend. He also gave us a bit more insight on former Michigan coach Mel Pearson who is still showing up to home games.

After a week off, the Gophers head full speed in to the Big Ten Semifinals at Mariucci this weekend. We preview that along with all that happened or will happen this weekend in the Big Ten.

The Gophers did not look great at all in Madison against the BADgers this past weekend. We covered that along the injuries to Faber and Chesley. Arena changes at 3M at Mariucci as well as at Ohio State. And of course we previewed the games at Penn State this coming weekend.

We are back after a week off. The Gophers earned a split at Ohio State and then followed it up with a home sweep of Notre Dame in very impressive fashion. We talked about those 4 games as well as which players are playing well and which ones we are just waiting for an explosion. It's just a matter of time!
