Matt Kendrick, the CEO of Good Good Golf joined us today to talk about the rise of digital platform, their desire to be a top 5 brand in golf, how the personalities on their team come together, their recent investment in LAGC of TGL, the event they are hosting on Golf Channel, the idea that golfers are building their individual brands and much more.The boys from The Wagyu Filet showed joined us live in studio to talk about Rory Milroy's weekend at Pebble Beach and his new approach, if Scottie Scheffler has missed a beat coming off his 2024 season and injury, the depth that the European Ryder Cup team is building and the pros and cons of the Waste Management in Phoenix this week.

Host Gary Williams broke down the AT&T Pebble Beach win by Rory McIlroy and what that means for the PGA TOUR as well as some of his other golf thoughts from the weekend. We were joined by Vanderbilt men's golf standout, and NCAA individual champion, Gordon Sargent and Normal Sport's Kyle Porter.Porter talked about McIlroy trying to approach the game more like Scottie Scheffler and being less impulsive on the course. He also talked about whether Scheffler's greatness alone will drive audience.Sargent talked about why he came back to Vanderbilt despite his ability to go straight to the PGA TOUR based on his PGA TOUR U standing. He wants to learn how to be a professional before making that jump. He also loves being around and competing with his teammates as he feels that helps improve his game.

This edition of 5 Clubs on Golf Channel discusses Rory McIlroy's comments on whether professional golf needs to be more scarce and what that would mean. We were joined by two-time LPGA winner Lauren Coughlin who talked about her big 2024 breakout season, her experience in the Solheim Cup and what's ahead for her in 2025. Taylor Zarzour joined us in studio and talked about McIlroy and how he will try any approach to peak for The Masters, how Scottie Scheffler is about as given as it gets these days and how TGL can enhance the viewing experience. Finally the team shared their pics for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am.

Martin Kaymer and Kira Dixon joined 5 Clubs on Golf Channel this AM. Kaymer talked about the changes in his career, his move to LIV, his team the Cleeks, the changes he has seen in golf, the scar tissue you overcome and more.Dixon talked about how she has adapted to her career with the microphone and interviewer after an early life been of being the interviewee. She has built quite a resume over the last few years not only in golf but also calling the past summer Olympics.

Harold Varner III joined us in studio today and he discussed all that went along with his decision to join LIV Golf and the upcoming 2025 season. Sean Zak of Golf Magazine and Golf.com also joined the program to talk about the signature events, Jordan Spieth, TGL and a number of other topics on golf's front burner.

We closed the week on 5 Clubs on Golf Channel with Fairways of Life's Matt Adams LIVE from the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando talking about the industry, the equipment, the influencers and the overall economic impact of the game. Writer Tom Coyne also joined the program to discuss The Golfer's Journal, the Broken Tee Society and his course Sullivan County in New York.Gary Williams discussed Justin Thomas' comments on players getting more involved in assisting their broadcast partners, the release of this week's Club Five and the golf dogs of the week.

In the first Wagyu Filet Show podcast of 2025, Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge dove into a number of hot topics on the PGA TOUR including an abysmal pace of play to start the season, eliminating aim point, the pro's and con's of TGL, golfers with good personalities, what they would have done differently in their careers, and some of the notable rule changes.

The legendary Jack Nicklaus, on his 85th birthday, joined 5 Clubs on Golf Channel. The owner of the most majors in golf’s history, talked about his relationship with Arnold Palmer, his recall of his great 1-iron shots over his career and what he thinks of both Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler.Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge, The Wagyu Filet Show and college teammates, made their studio debut and discussed what they thought the top stories of the 2025 season might be as well as if this was the year McIlroy would win another major given the four courses on this year’s major schedule.

Seth Waugh, former CEO of the PGA of America, joined Gary Williams to discuss the state of the game, his tenure with the PGA of America and what’s next for him.Mark Lev, co-owner of TGL’s Boston Common Golf team, also joined the program in advance of his team’s first match against Jupiter Links.

Webb Simpson joined us in studio to talk and he and Gary Williams discussed a number of topics from the upcoming Ryder Cup, should Keegan Bradley be a playing captain, the future of the PGA TOUR and what is in store for him in 2025 .Paul Hodowanic also joined the broadcast to discuss the recent feature he did with PGA TOUR productions on Nick Dunlap and his win as an amateur last year at the American Express and all that followed for him from deciding to turn pro and how he dealt with all that came after that big win.

These segments with Andy Roddick were part of the 5 Clubs on Golf Channel show from Tuesday, January 14 and have been separated into one audio podcast. Roddick joined Gary Williams in studio and dove into a number of topics from his love of golf, the relationships he's made through the sport and its similarities and differences between tennis and golf. As a Hall of Famer he provides perspective on the unique challenges for athletes that are not part of larger teams when on the court or course and how that even impacted the end of his career. Roddick who is also part owner of Sweetens Cove and Intown Club discussed how he got involved in both of those projects.

Tennis Hall of Famer Andy Roddick and golf writer and historian Jaime Diaz joined Gary Williams on 5 Clubs on Golf Channel. Roddick, the last American male to win a major when he won the U.S. Open has become a huge golf enthusiast since his playing days ended. He talked about his love for golf, the similarities and differences between it and tennis and the quest as an athlete without a team on the court with you and how different that is. He also talked about his involvement in Intown Club and Sweeten's Cove, the latter as it relates to its journey into golf lore via social media. Diaz discussed what is next for Tiger Woods as his elder statesman role evolves. He dove into all that he has left to give the game as the ultimate competitor and champion.

We kicked off Week 2 of 5 Clubs on Golf Channel discussing Nick Taylor's win at The Sony Open and his impressive ability to win more often than not when he is in contention. Eight-time PGA TOUR winner Brad Faxon joined the show to talk about the state of the game and playing opportunities as well as offering some perspective on Rory McIlroy and chiming in on the best turn house food in golf. Brendan Porath from The Fried Egg helped close the show and talked about whether golf was in enough demand to thrive with the current fractured state of the professional game as well as his thoughts on if Keegan Bradly should even be considering status as a playing captain in the Ryder Cup.

The reigning U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau headlined our guests in this 5 Clubs on Golf Channel Show. Bryson discussed his win at Pinehurst, his head-first dive into the YouTube community of content creation, the chance to earn his way onto the next Ryder Cup team, whether LIV or PGA TOUR players will cross fields in 2025 and much more.Gabby Herzig of The Athletic also joined the show to discuss the potential changes in the TOUR Championship and what is ahead for that premier event. Taylor Zarzour added his voice with a studio visit and he and the show's host Gary Williams unveiled the initial Club 5 and the team picks for The Sony this weekend.

Two of the voices of golf, Jim Nantz and Scott Van Pelt, joined 5 Clubs on Golf Channel. Van Pelt will host the new Tomorrow Golf League (TGL) and he discussed the format and what the audience might expect to see. He also discussed what has made Tiger, Tiger, as well as the importance of the game of golf in his professional journey. Nantz discussed the brilliance of Scottie Scheffler and how the fans will be more and more attracted to his game as him dominance continues and his recent foray into golf course architecture.

This marked the debut show for 5 Clubs on Golf Channel and our first guest was none other than World #1 golfer Nelly Korda. She joined Gary Williams to talk about her memorable 2024 season as well as what is in store for 2025. Gary also discussed the record-setting performance of Hideki Matsuyama at The Sentry, his observations from the first week back on the men's side and what to make of just how good Scottie Scheffler has been the past few years.

Billy Horschel is an 8-time winner on the PGA Tour and former FedEx Cup Champion. In this wide ranging conversation with Gary Williams, he discusses his 2024 season, having a real chance to win a major, finding friendship with Rory McIlroy, and what might the PGA Tour and LIV look like a year from now. Horschel also dives into why being a global player has made him better. And there is some non-golf stuff as well as Billy explains all about the Horschel Halloween candy and how memorable his senior prom was, all in this 5 Clubs conversation.

The long time site of the Tour Championship has been restored in the last 12 months by Andrew and his team and this conversation goes into detail on how he earned the responsibility, all the changes to the golf course and thoughts on the misconceptions and principals of Donald Ross designs. Andrew has become a star in the industry and his thoughtfulness and view of his own journey is inspiring.

It was an eventful week at the U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2 and Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge were in the thick of it with their media roles for NBC, the Golf Channel and PGATour Radio on SiriusXM. In this episode of The Wagyu Filet Show they touch on all of it all Johnson re-creating and hitting the winning bunker shot post-round with Bryson DeChambeau watching on with trophy in hand and having a drink with him afterwards, they talked the disappointment for Rory McIlroy and his snubbing of the media post-round and the finish as a whole and how the USGA got it spot on. Emma Carpenter was joined by her University of Minnesota golf teammate Bella McCauley and the Golden Gophers duo discussed their time together as well as the path that has led to Bella to becoming one of the top collegiate players in the country. McCauley was an accomplished junior player in the state of Minnesota and has qualified for the NCAA Tournament the last two years as an individual.Other topics the two discussed were McCauley's recruiting process which occurred during Covid restrictions, what led her to stay in her home state, playing in the cold, the early success that lead to getting hooked on golf, how she grew up more as a "feel" player versus diving into the analytics, her devotion to her short game, her ability to perform and go low in pressure situations, winning the Big 10 Championship, and some fun questions to close it out.

Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge are back with a new episode of The 'Wagyu Filet Show' after a historic PGA Championship at Valhalla. Taylor Moore dropped by the 5 Clubs studio to join Gary Williams in person in advance of the Wells Fargo Championship to talk about his career to date. World renowned golf course designer, and 5 Clubs contributor, Gil Hanse joined Gary Williams to take a close look at Augusta National through the eyes of a designer. They dive deep into a number of the holes including No.'s 3, 12 and 13 and talk about how important it is to play to the right sides of the fairways to have the right angles into tricky greens. Hanse walks the viewer and listener through the mindset needed for the top golfers in the world to perform and shoot a low score at the Masters. Hanse has done restoration projects on Alistair Mackenzie courses, who was a co-designer on Augusta National.

Long-time golf super agent Hughes Norton has just released a book, "Rainmaker", detailing his history with some of the big names in the history of golf. Working with IMG, and founder Mark McCormack, he was the first agent for Tiger Woods, worked with Greg Norman, and many others. The book and conversation touches on the idea of LIV before LIV that McCormack had back in the 1960's. A lot of the conversation touches on what drove Tiger and Norman in particular, their similarities and differences, and the balance an agent must play in the lives of those they represent. You won't want to miss this golf podcast with Gary Williams.

Akshay Bhatia joined "The Wagyu Filet Show" to talk about his career thus far in golf including getting his temporary membership on Tour last season, his shot-shaping ability, decision to skip college, outside interest and how he slid into his now fiancé's DM's. All of that and more with Johnson Wagner & Brendon de Jonge.

He penned an open letter last fall to the members of the PGA Tour regarding their current state and the road ahead. Hally Ledbetter has a lot going on in and around the world off golf and Emma Carpenter asks her about all of it. Born into a golf family, the daughter of two professionals, she didn't start really getting into the game until an early teen but she quickly got very good and played collegiately at Arkansas and Rollins College. Despite being a highly-ranked amateur, her interests in the game became more than just playing competitively and she currently produces a high volume of golf content with her "On the Tee" series, "Better off with Hally Ledbetter", a podcast with long-time friend Michelle Wie and one about to launch with her brother. This conversation is a great look at how golf can be utilized as a vehicle off the course as well as on.

The journey of Grayson Murray has been turbulent and filled with regrettable moments which makes his victory at the Sony Open all the more miraculous. Grayson emotionally reveals the depths of his alcoholism and his road to finding sobriety and ultimately this discussion is between two people who share a disease, and their willingness to share their personal challenges is worth everyone’s time.

Brittany and Billy Horschel met at a junior golf tournament almost 20 years ago. They were married in 2010 and Billy knew Brittany better than anyone. What he didn’t know was the Brittany would soon struggle and become addicted to alcohol. Now seven years sober, Brittany joined Gary Williams as they both talk openly and with total candor about their alcoholism and their roads to recovery. A riveting hour of understanding and hope about the disease of alcoholism and what it takes from you and how finding sobriety can restore so many things that were lost. This is not our typical golf podcast though it does overlap with the world of golf.
