In this episode of The Wagyu Filet Show, hosts Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge, lay out their team predictions for the2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black. They give their locks for the American and European teams, who is likely and who needs to play their way in.

LPGA Hall of Famer Lydia Ko and golf personality Will Lowery joined the program today. Among the topics discussed, Ko talked about her Olympic experience and golf’s role in the Games moving forward as well as her emotional win that followed at St. Andrews. Lowery talked a lot about the growth of junior golf in recent years and in particular his work with Steph Curry’s Underrated Golf Tour, the impact the tour makes and the opportunities and access it provides for those from a different club house.

Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge joined the program to recap the 2025 PGA Championship with Gary Williams. They dove into Scottie Scheffler and his greatness, Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, the driver testing and a peek ahead to the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club.

Golf writers Ron Green Jr. and Michael Bamberger joined the program this morning to talk about the major story lines coming out of the 2025 PGA Championship. Both talked about what makes Scottie Scheffler so great and that it would not surprise Bamberger to see Scheffler pull off the career grand slam by year’s end. Between the two they also talked about how nice it was to have Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau in contention to give some buzz to the leaderboard.

We had a full house for our special two-hour PGA Championship Preview Show on Golf Channel. We were joined in studio by Gabby Herzig, Taylor Zarzour, Colt Knost, Mark Brooks and Jaime Diaz and joined via Zoom by Jim Nantz. We discussed the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club with all weighing in on the course, the story lines, the big 5 of Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Thomas and Xander Schauffele, the under the radar names and the moving of the tournament from August to May. We also revealed our team picks to win the PGA Championship.

The team of Gary Williams, Johnson Wagner, Brendon de Jonge and Taylor Zarzour dive into all things 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club. The team, all based out of Charlotte, has an in-depth understanding of Quail Hollow with Wagner and Zarzour being club members.We talk the course, the conditions, the stature of the PGA Championship, how it now fits in the season calendar and the strength of the Charlotte golf community. We touch on the favorites from Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau, Xander Schauffele and others.The course deep dive goes into the tough opening stretch and a particular look at the holes on the inward nine including the Green Mile, one of the toughest finishing stretches in all of golf. We also give our who to watch out for, dark horses and winning picks.

Don Rea Jr. & Justin Ray joined the program this morning. Ray is known as a golf stat and information guru and he shared some mind-boggling stats on Rory McIlroy at Quail Hollow, Tiger Woods against the field, Jack Nicklaus in the 70’s and a number of other stats for the game’s best. Among other things, Rea talked about the PGA Works collegiate event going on in Whistling Straits and how many people are still finding golf in non-traditional ways and enjoying the sport. We also shared our picks for the Truist Championship and the dogs of the week.

Broadcasters Frank Nobilo and Chris “Mad Dog” Russo joined the program this morning. Russo recapped what it was like watching Rory McIlroy win The Masters and how his audience reacted for days after. He talked about how often he talks golf and why to his general sports audience and the stories he needs to sell his passion for it. Nobilo also weighed in on the ups and downs to McIlroy’s win at Augusta and talked about what is prime age now in the professional game and how we got there.

NBC broadcaster Mike Tirico and Tom Coyne, founder of the Golfer's Journal, joined the program this morning. Coyne was up first and talked about some of the bigger stories in golf so far this year, gave a low down on Philadelphia Cricket Club where this week's PGA TOUR event will be held for the Truist Championship, some history of Philadelphia golf and an update on Sullivan County Golf Club. Tirico also dove into golf's biggest stories of the year, looked for some historical comparisons to Rory McIlroy's win at The Masters, spoke to the big three of McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau all being in form headed to the PGA Championship and reflected on some iconic sports calls.Host Gary Williams opened the show on rivalries in golf and how rare they actually play out on significant Sunday's and the big weekend for Scheffler at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson.

Newly-appointed Presidents Cup captain Brandt Snedeker and writer Michael Bamberger joined the program today. Snedeker talked about the task that lies ahead, the traits he will look for in team selections, making sure the team knows the plan in advance and how Keegan Bradley still playing to earn a spot on the Ryder Cup team could factor into this year's team competition. Bamberger talked about how he didn't think that Rory McIlroy was necessarily going to go on a tear now, how to compare eras pre- and post-big headed drivers, the freedom of Bryson DeChambeau, and shared thoughts on the upcoming Truist Championship coming to Philadelphia Cricket Club.Host Gary Williams also reviewed the Dogs of the Week and revealed the team picks for the CJ Cup Byron Nelson.

In this episode of The Wagyu Filet Show, Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge dove into the great shot history of Tiger Woods. Wagner will be re-creating a number of these iconic shots for Golf Channel and there are plenty to choose from. Shots at Pebble Beach, the Canadian Open, Torrey Pines, St. Andrews, Muirfield, Hazeltine, Firestone, The Memorial and of course, Augusta National.

We had a full house in-studio with Johnson Wagner, Brendon de Jonge & Taylor Zarzour and the group dove into a lot of topics including: what does post-Master win Rory McIlroy look like, is Scottie Scheffler ready to win again soon, who might have a second half the season to counter Rory like Schauffele had with Scheffler in 2024, who might some of the rookies be making their first U.S. Ryder Cup team, the depth of the European team and the route chose by Blades Brown.

We were joined by Steve Wheatcroft and Gabby Herzig for today show. Wheatcroft, the former PGA TOUR player, is now one year sober and has found new purpose with the Mulligan Foundation. He talked about the Mulligan Foundation and the impact they are making. Herzig talked about what was next for Rory McIlroy after his Masters win and dove into Jordan Spieth as he continues to make his way back from injury.

It was a busy show to close the week with our updated Club 5 standings, team picks for the Zurich Classic and Chevron Championship and of course the golf "Dogs of the Week". Gary Williams also talked about the state of the women's professional game and the sponsors involved before being joined by the Hojgaard twins Nicolai and Rasmus as well as Golf Channel commentator Tom Abbott. The Rasmus twins talked about their parents allowing them to be different growing up but that they chose similar paths, how hard it was at times to enjoy the success of the other, their Master's experiences this year and what they like about the format for the Zurich Classic with alt shot on the final day. Tom Abbott talked about the Chevron Championship and the women's professional game and how important Lydia Ko is and has been over her career.

Cole Hammer joined the program this morning for his second visit to continue discussing his professional journey. Since he was last on the program he had a 54-hole lead on the Korn Ferry Tour and he dove into how that experience was in retrospect and how he was and wasn't prepared for the moment. Hammer also touched on his coach Bruce Davidson, the use of range finders, and talked about the journey of Rory McIlroy as was on the range with him as a 15-year old at Chambers Bay for the U.S. Open. We were also joined in studio by Preston Cole, Quail Hollow Club Pro, as he embarks to qualify for the 2025 PGA Championship that will be hosted by his home club in Charlotte. He talked about the experience qualifying at Valhalla last year and the support he has from everyone at the club to try to do it again this year.

We were joined today by designer Rob Collins of King Collins Dormer Golf and Tom Pashley, President of Pinehurst Resort. Collins and his team are behind the design and Landman, a course in Homer, NE that has quickly become a go-to destination for the traveling golf afficiando. He talked about how it came about, its uniqueness and the surrounding area. Pashley announced that Pinehurst No. 11, to be designed by Coore Crenshaw, will be completed by Fall of 2027 and talked about how different it will be from its newly-opened and highly-acclaimed neighbor, Pinehurst No . 10.Gary Williams opened the show with Justin Thomas' win at the RBC Heritage and closed with the heartbreak for Joel Dahmen in Punta Cana and the very sad news on the passing of Jay Sigel.

USGA CEO Mike Whan and golf historian Jaime Diaz joined the program this morning. Whan talked about the championship season ahead for the USGA as well as their young development program designed to catch the United States up with the rest of the world as it relates to a having a national program backing their growth in the game. Whan also talked about the progress on the implementation of the golf ball rollback between the various governing bodies. Diaz talked about the historical context of Rory McIlroy's Masters win and where that places him all-time, including what is ahead for him. The show wrapped with our team picks for the RBC Heritage and the golf dogs of the week.

In this episode of The Wagyu Filet Show the guys were joined by Gary Williams to go overtime on the 2025 Masters. They talked about if Rory McIlroy was now the best European golfer of all-time, what Chapter 2 for him not looks like with the career grand slam complete, his caddie Harry Diamond, the performance of the LIV players and their preparation for majors and much more.

The Wagyu Filet Show duo of Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge joined the program this morning for the entire show and alongside host Gary Williams, they did a deep dive of the 89th Masters and all that unfolded at Augusta National. The ebbs and flows, good shots and bad shots, the day-to-day movement, the final day pairing and finally what it finally took for Rory McIlroy to lift the burden he had been carrying and complete the career grand slam.

Fresh off a scintillating Masters and a completion of the Grand Slam by Rory McIlroy, we were joined by Rich Lerner and Brendan Porath to discuss it all. From the roller coaster ride of Sunday, from the good shots, the bad ones and finally the playoff win that cements McIlroy's all-time status of McIlroy. Lerner and Porath add perspective to what we all watched and what now lies ahead.

We kicked off the Masters week and were joined by a great line-up of guests Ben Crenshaw, Paul McGinley, Gil Hanse, Gabby Herzig, Ron Green Jr. and Taylor Zarzour. Crenshaw, a two-time winner of the Green Jacket shared some Masters memories and Hanse dove into the Augusta National course. Meanwhile, Paul McGinley shared his thoughts on Rory and much more.

We were live in Boca Raton, FL for the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational and were joined by NFL legends and some of the top players on the PGA TOUR Champions. Among them were Thurman Thomas, Terrell Davis, Dan Fouts, Billy Andrade, John Daly, Ronde Barber and Darren Clarke. We also revealed the team picks for the Valero Texas Open, updated Club 5 rankings and unveiled our latest dogs of the week.

Today was an action packed show as Steve Burkowksi joined us to talk about the Augusta National Women's Amateur and the job the club does putting on this event and the three past winners all in this year's field. Author Ward Clayton, who wrote The Legendary Caddies of Augusta National, talked about the history of the caddies at ANGC, some of the unique stories and insights he learned from them and shared a few specific memories from his conversations. Finally Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge joined the show to give an assessment of a number of players as we prepare for The Masters.

Mark Darbon, CEO of the R&A, and Andrew Coltart of Sky Sports joined the program today. Darbon talked about the R&A's pillars of inspiration, participation and governance as well as their thoughts on the ball rollback, the direct pathway into The Open for a LIV golfer and a host of other topics. Coltart talked about Rory's quest to win the Grand Slam, his top stories of the season thus far, the considerations for Luke Donald and the Ryder Cup team and his thoughts on who will wear the Green Jacket.Host Gary Williams also talked about Min Woo Lee's first career PGA TOUR victory as the Texas Children's Houston Open.

Golf historian and writer Jaime Diaz joined Gary Williams to take a deep dive into each of the decades of The Masters. From which decade was best, which is underrated and all the names that have made Augusta National Golf Club such a storied venue from Bobby Jones, to Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Ben Crenshaw, Tom Watson, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson, Scottie Scheffler and many more.

Jim Crane, owner and chairman of the Houston Astros as well as the driving force behind the Texas Children's Houston Open joined the show today to talk about the tournament's history, the change in venue, the improvements to the course, the value in having Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy in the field and the importance of the event to the Houston community. Taylor Zarzour joined in studio to recap the Florida swing and why McIlroy's game is more well-rounded than ever but winning in Augusta will be between his ears. Finally, we revealed the Dogs of the Week and picks for the Texas Children's Open.

16-year old junior sensation Miles Russell and No Laying Up co-founder Chris Solomon joined the program today. Russell talked about his recent win at the Sage Valley Junior Invitational, what he learned from watching the pros while competing in a Korn Ferry Tour event last season and what the next steps are in his golf journey. Solomon doves into the player/media relations that have been under scrutiny the last couple weeks, whether plays should have to talk to the media and if the rollback steps are enough and what additional tweaks he thinks need to be made.

Writers Shane Ryan and Sean Zak joined the program today. Zak dove into the Viktor Hovland win and Justin Thomas performance at the Valspar and been to look ahead to Augusta National and The Masters while also sharing wha the thought was most important in year two for TGL - a Dallas team with Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Spieth. Ryan talked about the relationship between the golf media and the players/agents and where trust needs to come into play and where he felt not enough players took the time to cultivate the right media relationships so their stories were told fair and accurately.

PGA TOUR pro Bud Cauley and The Fried Egg's Andy Johnson joined the show today. Cauley, fresh off of a T6 at THE PLAYERS talked about how it felt to be in contention as he was playing on a medical exemption trying to regain full status, if there are any lingering effects from his car accident and how he'll prepare for the rest of the year ahead. Johnson talked about Rory McIlroy and how he played at THE PLAYERS and the test that remains ahead at Augusta and The Masters.

In this edition of The Wagyu Filet Show the duo of Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge dove into the Creator Classic that was held at TPC Sawgrass the day before THE PLAYERS. Among the topics was is this the right timing, right location and right format for such an event.

NFL Hall of Famer Ronde Barber and The Wagyu Filet Show duo of Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge joined the show. Barber has become an avid golfer after his time in football and currently serves as General Chairman of the Valspar Championship in the Tampa area. He talked about how he got into golf, how he loves the competition and camaraderie the sport provides and how different the mindset is for a professional golfer to that of football. Wagner and de Jonge dove into a rep of THE PLAYERS with thoughts on McIlroy, Scheffler, Spaun, Bhatia and more.

Today’s show led into the playoff at THE PLAYERS between Rory McIlroy and J.J. Spaun. Gary Williams was joined by Gabby Herzig, Johnson Wagner and John Wood as they talked about all that happened within the week, how we got to a playoff and what they expect in the three-hole playoff to determine a champion.

This is our Players Preview Show on Golf Channel and we were joined by Damon Hack, Taylor Zarzour, Kevin Kisner and Steve Sands. Each gave thoughts on the Players Championship from their perspectives diving into course set up, select holes, favorite memories, players to keep an eye on and more.

This is our 2025 The Players Preview Show with Gary Williams, Johnson Wagner, Brendon de Jonge and Taylor Zarzour. The team dove into a number of topics for this deepest field in golf championship from how they hoped the course plays, needing form on arrival, what is expected out of players during this week and about the chances of Scottie Scheffler to 3-peat and Rory McIlroy and Jordan Speith to contend. Each also weighed in on players they did not think had the form at the moment, their potential long shot winners and who they ultimately think will win in 2025.

Jerry Kelly and Emma Carpenter joined the show this AM. Kelly, a stalwart on PGA TOUR Champions dove into what has made him a better golfer at 58, how his competitive streak took shape, how equipment has brought the athlete into golf, how amazing Bernhard Langer still is and he talked about his partnership with Cologuard and how important the work they are doing to help early screening for colon cancer. Carpenter made her first appearance and discussed the top teams and players in the collegiate game and shared some dark horses for teams to keep an eye on as the NCAA Championship come into focus.Gary Williams' opening monologue on Arnold Palmer and his importance led off the show and we also shared team picks for the Arnold Palmer Bay Hill Invitational, our Club Five standings and of course, our dogs of the week.

NBC Sports course reporter, John Wood, and the Wagyu Filet Show duo of Johnson Wagner & Brendon de Jonge joined us today.  Wood talked about the set up at Bay Hill and what makes it difficult, whether Signature Series events have an opportunity to toughen up the conditions, the depth of the European Ryder Cup team, the insights from Michael Jordan on competition and more.Wagner and de Jonge discussed the sponsor exemptions, players that are trending, how they expect the big three of Scheffler, McIlroy and Aberg to be around the leaderboard the next couple weeks and some of the players they want to see bring up the level of their game in the coming weeks.

Jimmy Dunne, President of Seminole Golf Club and PGA TOUR CMO Andy Weitz joined the show this AM. Dunne joined as the Seminole Pro-Member was underway and he talked about the importance of that event and how great it is to host some of the best players in the world annually including Tiger Woods, the Korda sisters and many more. Weitz talked about the fan forward insights they are gathering and how it is guiding all their future decisions. He also discussed how tours like the Korn Ferry could be testing grounds for tweaks to the game.Gary Williams talked about the finish at the Cogizant Classic and shared some of his other thoughts from the weekend in golf.

Recent PGA TOUR winner Thomas Detry joined 5 Clubs on Golf Channel. Detry talked about a recent interview where he discussed fear and doubt and how he manages that, values a quite aura and meditation and how he won the WM Phoenix Open. We also revealed the team picks for the Cognizant Classic and unveiled our latest golf dogs.

Billy Horschel and Gabby Herzig joined Gary Williams on the program today. Herzing, a writer for The Athletic, talked about the latest she is hearing on PGA TOUR/LIV talks and what the fans want to see from all of this, what tweaks TGL might need to make for a sustainable future with fans and how Rose Zhang is among the many LPGA stars that don't think the tour is doing enough to promote their stars.Horschel, the recipient of the Charlie Bartlett Award, talked about why it is important for him to give back; what playing in the TGL environment is like; his friendship with Arthur Blank, his understanding of why golf fans are disenchanted, how to make the televised product and a desire for a more critical TV booth in the mold of Johnny Miller.Gary Willams addressed Anna Nordquist being named the European Solheim Cup captain and how the game of golf is getting younger and younger and some of the reasons behind that movement.

NFL legend Patrick Peterson and the Sports Business Journal's Josh Carpenter joined us today. Peterson talked about how he fell for the game of golf, how it has given him something competitive after football, his experience at Augusta National, and his participation in The Pro. Carpenter joined to talk about the most recent news from the PGA TOUR and LIV discussions and the continued promise of progress and a deeper look at the current TV ratings.Gary Williams started the show with a recap of the Vidanta Mexico Open and how Brian Campbell got the break of a lifetime and capitalized for a career-changing win.

Paige Spiranac and Cole Hammer joined 5 Clubs on Golf Channel today. Spiranac is one of golf's most recognizable personalities and she discussed how her life changed overnight and it led her down the path of leaning into social media as career. She opened up about how there was so much negativity around her when she started but that as she found her voice and self-love she has leaned into that to build the community of followers she now has. She also talked about her early athleticism and how once she found golf it was something she took to and loved immediately.Hammer will join the program monthly to discuss her professional journey. Hammer talked about the expectations he has faced since his junior golf days and now looking to achieve his dream of making the PGA TOUR. He shared how different the experience is being out on his own, traveling and experiencing the world and making memories along the way.We also shared the current Club 5 standings, our picks for the Mexico Open and the latest installment on Dogs of the Week.

NBC Sports broadcaster Dan Hicks joined the program and talked about his career behind the microphone, some of his best moments, how the golf team works together, the new additions to the NBC golf crew, a looming Ryder Cup in New York that could be epic and what viewers want most, story-telling of the game's best.Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge, the Wagyu Filet Show duo, also joined the program and talked about Wagner's recent remarks as they relate to Rory's comments, and both of their feelings on Ludvig Aberg, Scottie Scheffler and PGA Tour University.

Jaime Diaz joined Gary Williams in studio for 5 Clubs on Golf Channel and talked about a number of topics facing golf right now from the PGA/LIV negotiations, the rise of Ludvig Aberg, the rare closing abilities of Tiger and Jack compared to the current major woes of Rory McIlroy and they discussed how rare it is for a true golf rivalry to take center stage with frequency.

This episode is for all the golf course design junkies and enthusiasts as we sat down with golf course designer Tyler Rae. He joined Gary Williams for a deep dive on his career in golf, some of his creative influences, top courses around the world, periods of time in course architecture and much more. He touched on his work at Lookout Mountain and Old Sawmill and talked in depth about Pinehurst No. 2, Seminole and Pine Valley.Rae has played the top 100 courses in the U.S. and 98 of top 100 in the world so his knowledge of great golf courses is amongst the elite and he loves the hidden gem courses of the world. He also listed his top courses in New England from Eastward Ho, Myopia Hunt Club and the Country Club; from Westchester, NY with Winged Foot, Somerset Hills and Mountain Ridge; Long Island with Shinnecock, Maidstone and National Golf Links; the Chicago area with Chicago Golf Club, Shoreacres and Beverly; and finally in the greater Philadelphia area with Pine Valley, Merion and Lancaster.

Golf course designer Tyler Rae and author George Waters joined the show today. Rae talked about some of his industry inspirations from Donald Ross and Seth Rayner and talked about some of his new work at Old Sawmill and the quick turnaround he and his team will have later this year at Detroit Golf Club, home of the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Waters, author of many golf books including "Sand and Golf" talked about how sandy terrain makes the game 3-dimensional, opens up more possibilities for play and how natural bunkers go from playable to unplayable on the periphery of holes. We also updated the Club 5 standings, revealed team picks for the Genesis Invitational and unveiled our latest Golf Dogs of the Week.

Gabby Herzig and Taylor Zarzour joined Gary Williams today on 5 Clubs on Golf Channel. Herzig talked about the latest between the PGA Tour and LIV and the involvement of the new administration. She also talked about Jordan Spieth and his attempts to come back from injury. Zarzour and Williams also talked about Spieth as well as the new Rory McIlroy approach that is taking a page out of the Scottie Scheffler playbook and the start to the season of all the European players which puts them in a very good position with the Ryder Cup looming later this year.

Drew Stoltz of Subpar and Brendan Porath of The Fried Egg joined us today. Stoltz talked about a number of the changes that took place at this year's WM Phoenix Open, how the younger generation is so skilled and ready to win and how Jordan Spieth can energize a crowd. Porath also talked about what Spieth brings to the table for the PGA Tour as well as forecasting the season ahead for Tiger Woods and what would be considered successful. Porath also talked about how deep the European Ryder Cup team as Thomas Detry picked up his first win at the WM.

Lucas Glover and Gil Hanse joined the show today. Glover, who has been outspoken on some of the PGA TOUR's decisions, discussed his POV on taking away playing opportunities, the pace of play, the state of the game and other pressing issue for the Tour. Hanse joined from a bulldozer in Venus, FL, site of his latest project, and he talked about some of the courses he and his Caveman Construction team are working on at Spanish Bay and other locations, as well as the new technologies in course design and how best to keep the integrity of greens in restorations. The show closed out with the team picks for the WM Phoenix Open and our latest installment of "Golf Dogs of the Week".

This edition of The Wagyu Filet Show with Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge spent time talking about Rory McIlroy's big win at Pebble Beach, the discipline he played with and how the major venues for 2025 really suit his game. They talked about Jordan Spieth returning to tournament play and what the coming months could look like for him. They also talked about some of their errant shots over the years and the victims of those swings.They rounded out the show with a deep dive into college golf, PGAU and all the benefits of playing collegiately while sharing some of their favorite stories as teammates at Virginia Tech.
