Talkback Thursday: Your Malaysian Movies

Every year we see a huge number of biopics and historical films released by filmmakers around the world that are based on, or inspired by particular historical moments or historical personalities. We know the bigger titles like Gandhi, about the leader of India's non-violent freedom movement against British rule in the country; Titanic, the British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean; Les Miserables which is based loosely on French history after the French Revolution. On Talkback Thursday today, we're asking: What moment in Malaysian history would you like to see on the big screen? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Ili Sulaiman

When Ili first came into the office, we saw a very interesting box with her, and lo and behold, it contained some of the best brownies we’ve ever tasted. We’re pretty sure they contained some addictive substance and we wanted more! But, we had to restrain ourselves. As expected, Ili was bubbly, friendly and easy to talk to. Plus, there will never be another show where all of our stories are feline-related. If you enjoyed what you’ve heard, then check out our website! Bunkface

Bunkface came into the studio all hyped up, energetic and ready to take the interview by storm! Sam, Youk and Pa’an got pumped up from their Ribena drink and they were happy to promote their new smell in the form of perfume. You might think it’s strange for a punk band to have a perfume label. What would it smell like? Stage sweat? But, they seem to do alright with it so maybe we’ll try it for ourselves too.
